and I have actually read many fantasy books including Harry Potter book and seen most of the films.
Most of the kids at my school haven't read it. But they have ALL read Twilight.
Excuses: HP is too long (get an attention span), HP is for kids and Twilight is mature (makes me want to laugh at their stupidity and cry for humankind at the same time), they're too hard to read (you speak English, don't you?), etc.
I haven't read all of them yet... i have, however, read Moby dick, Fahrenheit 451, Catcher in the rye, Of mice and men and many others... do i qualify as having read literature? so he doesn't want to read the HP books... so what. his loss not yours.
