If you want to know why people compare RHCP and FNM listen to "Epic" by Faith No More. The rapping style is almost exactly like Kiedas, and the slapped E on the bass, while very basic, does sound alot like a "flea type" bassline. Other than that there isnt any comparison.

The RHCP are an awful band, but I don't look at through record sales, just what is there musically. All their early albums sounded the same, and now all their new albums sound just like Californication. There was a break there though. Besides Keidis can't sing. He sounds awful live.
