  • The 70's ?? Woody Woodpecker is from the 40's and 50's -- I don't think it was still around in the 70's.

  • @ladylynnea i think that person probably grew up on it in the 70s via reruns. Kind of like how Woody is an 80s cartoon to me because that's where I first saw him. Not til years later in really paying attention to the copyright date did I notice 40s and 50s. Same with Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, etc.

  • ROFLMFAO @ horned toad

  • This is the first Woody Woodpecker cartoon with a new look and new voice. Great way to start the 1950's.

  • this exact same episode too

  • i remember watchin this when i was like 5 or 6, im only 17 now but damn i didnt realize woody was 60 years old

  • Woody came around in the 1930's, and hit TV in 1940. So yeah, he's way older than me! I thought he was from the 70's when I was little.

  • So are you implying that Pecker is from the STONE AGE ERA??

  • Certainly from before the Flintstones, so yes. BEFORE THE STONE AGE :O

Also, my comment was badly worded. I wasn't little in the 70's :D

  • "Horned Toad" I laughed out loud. Just to make sure people got the joke, he pulls out a sign...pure epic.

  • TV These days sucks :( really upsets me its all shit I Wish i could go back in time to the 90's and never return to the future

  • This show was banned :( sadly its highly unlikely to be shown on TV Again

  • actuilly, this show is still n teletoon retro :D

  • Why was it banned?

  • Oh how did i try to emulate Woody's laugh as a kid :D

  • and did you succeeded doing that? I think nobody can ,because the voice has been modified (speed- up)

  • I love Woody Woodpecker :D

  • cool

  • haha~

the house can change tire 1~~

    so funny~~

  • "Puny Express" is historical for a great many reasons. Not only is this the first Walter Lantz/Woody Woodpecker cartoon to be released through Universal since 1947's "Woody the Giant Killer", it is the first appearance of Grace Stafford, Lantz's wife, as the voice of the ivory-billed fowl. :-)

  • You also notice no one utters a word of dialogue throughout the entire cartoon! :-O

  • its fun very hilarious

  • its fun very hilarious

  • I think this one marks the first appearance of Buzz Buzzard. Not sure if this is the one, but it IS one of the earliest to have him.

  • No-"The Wet Blanket Policy" (1948) is the first apperance of Buzz Buzzard
