The grotto you seen is from our old catholic school for girls. We are the 2nd oldest city in the state of WI. Many of our homes here date back to the early 1800's and if a city can still be here surviving after 200 yrs then it must be the place to live !! You forgot to check out the school for boys where NORM from Cheers went to highschool. Boy you people are strange !!

Hi, just wanted to say that I attended the dropping of the carp last year. The people and the town of PDC couldn't have been nicer to us. We made a video of the event, you can see highlights on the dropping of the carp on this sight. I had a blast!!! Thanks!
eh it was alright. I went to see it because on my show I mentioned that I'd be there since I just moved to this town 3 weeks ago and never had heard of it prior ...but yeah it was reeeally cold, the bonfire was too small, and it was pretty boring at first. Then again I'm a total city slicker lol ..so a party to me has nothing to do with fish usually
the villa Louise is on the road where I work (WQPC/WPRE radio station) ...the person shooting this video was so close to the radio station that just a little further down the road you prolly could see the building where I'm actually at right now lol
oh and also the main street and the main highways in the town are being upgraded this spring/summer. The buildings are being refaced and the streets, sidewalks, crosswalks are all being redone. So it'll look very pretty when its done.

I feel that there is something in having passed one's childhood beside the big river, which is incommunicable to those people who have not. I consider myself fortunate to have been born here, rather than in Boston, or New York, or London.

I go to PDC for cross country skiing and hiking at Wyalusing, also river walks. I love the medical museum. So I like PDc for some of the same reasons that you do. Thank you for replying.
OMG they have a medical muesuem.But my fav part about visiting there is sneaking in to the Villa b/c it's so easy there are no locks or grauds.Can't wait till spring break to go out there again!
would you rather be from some no river town like dodgeville??? if you're a history buff(it my major) then you'd appreciate what a unique town pdc is. there's the villa louis(where we used to get f'ed up and run around hoping to see a ghost), st. mary's(shown in the video) and that was a grotto that the guy didn't commented on, downtown, campion campus which has some great sites online detailing its existence since the early 1900's.
since when did shopping opportunities equate to a town being exciting??? i grew up in pdc and for a small town it's great. let's see. i enjoyed fishing, kneeboarding, hiking at the pike's peak st. park, wylousing st. park, effigy mounds national monument, camping, hunting, going to the rendevous, drinking, playing sports, road tripping while drinking, car tag, drinking while camping on the river etc. etc. .
I just got back from a weekend in PDC. I watched the Pack game at Jim's and the Sawmill Tavern and it was AWESOME! I love PDC!
