if u want easy points for unlocking early weapons fast. Get into a helicopter where someone is already in and make sure u are engineer and have repair tool on. When the Helicopter is damaged repair it using the repair tool. You will get good easy points. Thumbs up so Everyone can see

@Rhinokiller199 Solid balance of pressing and releasing the thrust button. It is awkward to hover because you view from the cockpit will not be pointed to the ground and you wont be able to see how well you are hovering. Just keep your blades level and you will move less.

@Xh0saNightMare It's not good to land or hover over checkpoints.you should probably only capture the nearest flag at your base when the game starts for an easy 200 points to your heli then leave the rest for your team because you never know when a sniper is going to head shot you,engineer is going to RPG you or a tank is going to hit you with a shell.

i always seem to be 1000x better flying than playing as infantry, no matter what game it is. the same goes for bf3. but i'm really struggling with heat seekers when i'm flying a chopper- i can dodge missles in a jet without flares no problem, but no matter what i try i just can't do it in a helicopter. if som1 knows how to dodge missiles in a chopper without flares, i would gladly share a sure-fire way to dodge them in a jet. it works 90% of the time for me.

my best advice is to fly low and stay hidden, when you attack gain some altitude. then drop right back down. if you are high up in the sky, you are the easiest target in the game...ps the havoc sucks

don`t wait until they use flares if they know what they`re doing they`ll never use them if you have not fired yet. just fire one rocket then they have to use flares then you can first hit him with one rocket and the other one is mostly available before flares have regenerated

The ECM jammer can be used after a rocket is fired, it makes the rocket freakout and miss you when it gets near.

i have 2 better tips that werent shown in this vid. 1stly you will find that if you want to stay in the air longer and gain more points per flight of a chopper then you need to have a good threat analysis, you should identify targets that are of bigger threat as opposed to targets with minimal threat. i.e. a chopper is more threatening than a vdv buggy in most cases, plane to tank, aa to tank, soflam or laser to anything else. 2ndly if you here the tone going after youve deployed flares, GTFO

It would have been nice if there was a Jet Co-op mission so you could practice flying huh? I can see why they did it this way though, not everyone is an expert pilot, and that's a good thing. Otherwise only 4 people would ever get to fly and they would just be circling each other the entire time (I spent 5 minutes doing that once XD)

The heat seekers missiles are best used if you make one missile shot, wait for a few seconds and shot the secod one, because, arming another two missiles is lower than the IR Flares.

So shot only one missile.

Usually you don't have enough time to have 2 locks on a jets or choppers while reloading the rockets. So what I usually do is that, I launch the first missile forcing the target to use flares and then lock again and use the last missile. This way you will at least disable the vehicle or force it to land when it's an easy target for you.

103 should have ecm/heatseekers for pilots, flares for gunners. You can manually dodge AA, and your gunner will have flares to be safe. Since gunners can't use ecm, pilots have to use it. Lazed javelins are near impossible to avoid on a helicopter, so ecm is a must. The other slots should be changed based on scenario (autoloaders for heavy vehicle/infantry, stealth if you're being targeted by said infantry, laser painter if friends have javelins, etc). Guided rockets are useless.

Also, when u unlock ECM jammer use it as a driver. always pop 2-3 secs after u start being locked on. Then hide for cover until its ready. If you have a gunner he can use flares if its on cooldown.

I've circle strafed tanks and in the co-op mission when flying the AH-1Z Viper, but I can't seem to circle strafe with the MI-28 Havoc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Circle strafing is actually easy, just rotate in 1 direction, and strafe in the opposite.

did you know that the AH-1Z Viper is more maneuverable than the MI-28 Havoc? The Viper yaws (rotate around the vertical y-axis) much faster than the Havoc, at least on the xbox version. do a test yourself xbox gamers if you don't believe me

Have you considered a career in aviation? Getting paid to fly is what you were born for, kid. Most flight schools offer a discounted 'discovery' flight where they'll take you up for little to no cost and let you mess around a bit to see if it's for you. Let me know where you live and I might be able to recommend some good flight schools/ universities.

And keep in mind that the gunner most likely will have tv-guided, which he never can use when you fly so low. With other words, gunner cannot take objects far away from a flag - to help you team get there faster. You should say something about tactial flying bfore you make tutorial bro

I fly with a Saitek joystick, I see by some of the movements that you must use a kb (i.e. jet video too). I've always been wanting to watch a tut video with PiP of the pitches and turns, but with a cam simultaneously watching your hands on mouse and kb. Maybe a custom kb/mouse layout that you use would help some understand the flight mechanics a little better. Great videos, sharing with my non-pilot friends in a couple minutes! :)
