  • wow, really nice pics, although were most of these monuments built by Armenians or by a pre-colonial people?

  • its performed excellent. god bless all arminians

  • what a beautiful place. Turks deny there was an Armenian Kingdom there for 300 years. just like they deny the Armenian Genocide. the history of Cilicia should be more available to the world including Armenians.

  • The issue in question is not whether or if many Armenians died in horrible circumstances. The issue is, was it genocide? There was an on going bloody war. According to Russian military archives, still in existence, they had around 50 000 Armenian volunteers terrorising and killing the Turkish civilians. They were also harassing the Turkish army from behind. Armenians were not innocent bystanders. Ottomans knew something irregular happened. So they tried and hanged some Turkish officials.

  • I am from Adana. Please be honest. I am sure that the new buildings are from Turks and the old structures are from Roman Empire, I think the music is from Armenians and it's marvellous....

  • Thanks for the comment about music, I also enjoy turkish old music (chiftatellí).

But, to be honest, you think the armenians was there thousands of years before the turks and romans, etc., and they don't build nothing?

  • Yes they conquered our lands, the Greeks lands with roses and chocolates. We asked you turks to come from mongolia and take our lands and kill us.

  • Guys, what shown here mostly Frankish wrecks, and some Ottoman artifacts. please be respectful to the history..

  • @Genchmen Well, Cilician kingdom has been under strong European influence. It would be correct to point out that Europeans learnt great deal about architechture from the Armenians. For example, castles with oval shape were first introduced to Europe after Crussades. Indeed Cilicia had significant Frankish presence. Even most of our royal houses were half Armenian, half Frankish or Austrian.
