hah "you can see what I'm running it through right here, thats a child's dictionary"
First off, fantastic review so far the only other one I have seen so far is some spokesman rambling on about all the other products they offer and how the volume knob makes it louder.
Second of all, does the Scholastic Children's Dictionary add much to the sound? i was considering buying one just to add a little gain. What do you think?
Any idea if i'm okay to play active through the 0.0db input or would i need to play passive?
I'm assuming i'd need to play through the -15db input active but i'm a bit of a dunce with this right now. My amp wont arrive for another day or two so i'm trying to find out asap. Thanks
@lilgmichael You can play through both. It's just that the -15db just cuts volume for sculpting (sound). Just play through both starting on a LOW volume then move up and see which you like.
I recorded with the BA115HP (I think) and an AKG D112 kick mic at college a few months back and it was the nicest sound i've ever heard but i cant remember if i was active or passive.
If you're interested my settings were Style 4 / Bass 1 O'clock/ mid 11/ treble 12 i think, using a Warwick STD5 Corvette Ash Active
@TheSpartanfan hey what do you think about the Behringer Ultrabass BXL900 bass amp? have you had any exoerience with it? Its 90 wats. I really need somthing better than my 15 wat amp at a low cost.
dude how do you take the mesh cover off of this amp, my piezo tweeter is making a bad crackle noise, do u know how i take the cover off to check it out.
I have the BA115. Is quite a bit cheaper than the BA115T and sounds the same. Getting the T version is not worth the extra money IMO. Both are fantastic amps. The sound is awesome for 100 watts.
great video. do you know if this bitch supports active pups? 'cause I use an ampeg at college with no active/passive switch or separate inputs, so I just get this high frequency squeal...
I was actually interested in buying one of this and your review helped me clear some issues I had. Thanks for the info and it was a really good review.
BTW BA115 is less expensive then BA115 (almost 100$ difference), so you really got a good deal. Have fun playing it.
I have that very amp my friend

can you do a small gig with it?
beninjamin 2 years ago
Yes sir, you can. I do all the time.
TheSpartanfan 2 years ago
what did/would you have thought you could use it for?
I mean i do large hall gigs with 500W with the volume down a bit
AttitudeCastle 2 years ago
small gigs like bars etc
beninjamin 2 years ago
i see what your getting at :)
i use mine as a stage monitor, for small gigs like bars, and at rehearsals, i even use it for practise at home sometimes,
my brother plays guitar, he uses a 15W amp for bars, but it all really depends
AttitudeCastle 2 years ago
Yeah, I use this for EVERYTHING, even though I have a smaller Ibanez for practice lol
TheSpartanfan 2 years ago
is it a tube?
fallingspears77 2 years ago
i use this as my moniter, and for practise, very nice little amp =D
good review too,

Yes it does. I use active pickups through it and it's golden.
TheSpartanfan 2 years ago
thanks for the quick reply. now I've just gotta decide whether it's worth saving up the extra cash for the BA115T rather than the BA115...
D4athPanda 2 years ago
Actually, honestly the "T" is better IMHO.
I got it on sale, but personally I think it's very nice.
