People even now talk about how everything was against Foreman, the country, the racket outside his hotel the eve of the fight, etc., and how had they fought afterwards in the States he'd have killed Ali. BULLSHIT! Ali had his number from day one, as long as he remained Ali he'd have beaten George. Far more experienced and knowledgeable than the kid who first won the title, he was fighting a man bigger and younger than Liston but otherwise far less fearsome: beating Frazier was an upset remember.

Think about the missing years, 67-70. Ali missed some of the best of his physical prime, ages 25-28.

But he got a lot smarter. Foreman was a babe in the woods, boxing smarts-wise. Foreman took a psychological beating too. He still had a decent career after fighting Ali. I think Ali owned him after this fight though. I don't think Foreman would have ever been able to beat Ali.

This was absolutely fixed! The only person who ever got after Ali's Ass was Joe Frazier. He beat Ali that one time. However, the man who destroyed Frazier threw this fight. As far as Mike Tyson is concerned, the Foreman that came back to boxing would have destroyed Tyson just like he did Frazier. The only person that would give Tyson a little trouble is Ali. Forman. Had no head moment no accuracy. All he did was throw wide hay makers. Same with Frazier all he had was a left hook. Tyson had the best head movement of any heavyweight. The best footwork of anyheavywaight and was just as fast as Ali.

I've studied all these fighters and don't be surprised if they hit tge floor like the rest of Tysons opponits the sports evolved and Tyson is a result of that

He would have had a hard time keeping up with Ali because Ali could move very quickly for a heavyweight, and just kept hitting them with the jab as he backed up and he could do this well into this 30's (Something Tyson definatly couldnt do) The only hope tyson would have is to knock Ali out in the first two rounds,if he didnt Ali would have ruined him

I didn't much care for Ali but this fight really defines him as a great fighter. To knock out a younger stronger Big George Forman defines him as one or perhap the greatest of all times. Look beyond him as a fighter and you find a man who did a lot of good outside the ring to. And he isn't my favorite fighter but I call them as I see them.
