  • My we see Assad's state of demise pretty soon. I also cannot wait until assad is expelled from every Syrian's life once and for all.

  • We need also to recall that Arabs have the same grand grand grand father with Jews and make peace.

  • Shou bini?! 3am ikbar w tikbar bi albi ...

  • just great i love the instruments i need to find more Arab music with sweet melodies like this one

  • There are definitely 2 fucking israelites watched this! For fuck's sake leave us already .. everything was peaceful in the Arab world until some zionists invaded our land.

  • Qu'importe qui nous sommes....l'important c'est de reconnaître le talent et de défendre la culture arabe et notre civilisation !!!....

  • we're the lebanese people....

  • love Fairouz and this song!

  • I am from Turkey but my heart is a palestinian .. Another Palestinian man turkey but my homeland .. because it's different ...

  • Long live Fairouz. I don't understand this language but her voice is so amasing. She sings beautifully

  • guys guys, stop arguing, Christians and Muslims will always be brothers in the Arab world. my best friend is a Syrian christen and every Islamic celebration or holiday they come over with gifts. We do same for christian holidays. Lets unite, all together, as Arabs, as brothers, we all have the same great grandfather, so we are the same.

  • @SyrianArabRepublic1 I agree..

  • @eemc2203 kiss imm syria akho sharmouta

  • @SyrianArabRepublic1 " Love every man in spite of his falling into sin. Never mind the sins, but remember that the foundation of the man is the same - the image of God."

  • why, you think only Assyrians are Christians since after Christ? Hirah, Ghassan, all are Arabs. Himyarite people had been there in Jerusalem since BCE after the broken Ma'areb dam had caused flood in Southern Arabia.

  • Beautiful! Thank you

  • the accent though of those 3 main semetic languages are different but roots are always the same, old aramaic has changed gradually to arabic, and it has taken years, what changed is accents as of grammar and vocabulary are the same but the writing is nabatean from an ancient semetic place south israel which is jordan.

open up your mind and heart and read three of them or search up and see all the vocabulary of hebrew arabic aramaic ,THE ROOTS ARE 90% THE SAME.

  • I don't know what arab means but all middle easterns are hebrews"the oldest dialect" hebrews are (israelites, ishmaelites, qahtanites, adnanites, ammondites etc..) from middle east. qahtan and adnan are the ones that came with arabic language later on. but as of middle east they were all dialetcs. hebrew aramaic and arabic have same roots, like salam(arabic) shalom(hebrew) salom(aramaic) its root is the letters SLM etc and all the vocabulary is like that.

  • In the time of the crusades Bliad al Sham (syria) and Masr (Egypt) are the two countries that made up the middle east. Over time the countries were divided but we still remain arab.

  • Lebanon is a country Countries change disappear or are occupied. Lebanese is a nationality it can be changed or held onto by anyone. Arab is an ethnicity that cannot be changed but it can be denounced and is by many. Who knows in 500 years Lebanon might be gone but many people wont let go of their lebanese nationality(like assyria)

  • Fly high guys, Fairouz is singing, you are still down, soar with her voice.

  • Lebanon is an Arab country, we lean Arabic as primary language, our news is spoken in Arabic, in fact our official language is Arabic. As far as each individual, it is up to them to find out if they are Arabs or not. you cannot force an ethnicitiy on people. I for a fact, am a Lebanes and Arab. I have Lebanese friends whose father is from India, or mother from France, or the US....

  • If red Indians speak eglish now (Native Americans) that does not make them White

  • No but it does make them Americans. Arab is not a race, white (or more properly said, caucasian) is a race. You are confusing both, just as many people confuse Jewish with Semite.

  • Arabs a Dark semitic Gypsies, Arabjists are Dihmmis enforcement

  • Dark? Oh so not only you hate yourself, but you also hate dark people, so you are a racist too. Fairuz is Arabic by the way, what are doing listen to her since you hate Arabs? Why are you even replying to my comments? You are only here to spread hatered aren't you... Rethorical question, no need to reply.

  • what beautiful voice!!! Love her!!! God bless you Fairouz and hope to have you in our lives forever...

  • The only one..Fairouz, our ambassador to the stars!..

  • What a voice what a music!.... I remember when I was little, She was in Turkey. Is there any other Fairouz? Cannot recognise her.

  • ~you are the voice of my heart~

  • ya watani!

  • god!!! she is an angel

  • I love you ya fairoos ya emm el 3arab :)

  • fairouz how calm and beautiful you are .

  • Is she syriac orthodox?

She sure sung beautiful and looked beautiful. God strengthen her.

  • greek orthadox

  • Yes, she is, but her husband was a greek orthodox

  • وطني وحياتك و حياة المحبي

شو بني عم أكبر و تكبر بقلبي

    :)

  • fairouz .... ablik ma hada w ba3dik ma hada

  • more than great

  • الله ,,

    أنت الدني ياوطني ..

  • her father is syrian and her mother was Lebanese, she was born in Zquaq el Blat( Beirut), but she was always considered her self lebanese

  • Beautiful Fairuz recording of the sixties/early seventies!

  • يا اروع من حلق بنا الى النجوم يا سفيرتنا

مليون تحية لك يا ارزة لبنان ..

شكرا اخي على رفعك الفيدو العظيم كل الشكل والتقدير

  • But she is singing in Arabic and Arabic tune. What a great song. I'm from Iraq and I enjoy am moved by this song.

  • She is singing in ARABIC and it's beautiful.

  • Why? Don't you mean Phoenician? And isn't that an extinct language anyway?

  • Yes I do, although there is debate about the 'correct' pronunciation/spelling - languages change over time. And yes it is extinct. Still, you will never be able to say I am wrong, will you?

  • In heart she is arab & lebanese

  • Lebanese are Arabs, even if they don't admit it, their culture and language is Arab. It's probably the most liberal middle eastern culture bas it's still Arab. Anyways, this song is amazing, I love Fayrouz.

  • I am Lebanese and of course I am arab.

    Lebanese are arabs, period.

  • wesaamt,,sorry i disagree with you ,it doesn't work like that

Lebanon is a multicultural country, its very complicated subject but some Lebanese especially the suni muslims are arabs and most Christians are not arabs, they even used to have their own language (Aramaic ) ,but unfortunately a lot of the Christians lost it , when the arab muslims invaded the area ,and Lebanon ,they couldn't reach the high mountains ,so their blood didn't mix with the arabs ,and remain christian Lebanese

  • I'm sorry to tell you this, but lebanese christians originally come from syria, deep inside syria. Making the christians the most arab of all. But in general most lebanese, syria, jordanian, palestinian have little arab gene (4%) but we have been "arabized" with our language and culture.

  • you don't have to be sorry ,the christian exist in Lebanon and the mount of Lebanon way before they did in Syria ,Jesus Christ came from israel ,and Jesus him self went to qana ,and sida ,and preached there ,and so cristianity started in that area in Lebanon befor it moved north and east to syria .....if you meant some Christians moved from syria to Lebanon later then i would agree

im christian Lebanese and im certainly not an arab

  • How do you know you're not an Arab? And I don't mean that in an offensive way, have you studied geneology, checked your ansesters?

  • Geneology is not a property of Arabs, neither it is the identity, Identity is what man make it and want it.

we do nto want to be Arabs, or Muslims, we do not want to feel with the Arabs ugly disgusting "causes"

We want to drift away from Arabs because Arabs makes us feel squeeky

    Arabs are our enemies

  • "We want to drift away from Arabs"

So your decision not to be an Arab is political, you are basically renouncing your identity... Nothing more to say.

  • we were never Arabs in Identity, Arabjists are our enemies. They want us to to be enemies of our selves, their habits and ways of thinking and culture always made us feel squeeky, why she we be forced to call ourselves something that we always hated

  • "Our" who is us? Speak for yourself ! You are ignorant, and that's a complicant. squeeky? Call ourselves? No one is forcing you to call yourself anything, you don't decide whether you are an Arab or not.

  • No one is forcing anyone to become an Arab. Some people are Arabs, others aren't. Fairuz is an Arab, Gibran Khalil Gibran is an Arab, I am an Arab and you are not, it's as simple as that...

  • Fairuz and Gibran did. Read Gibran's literature and Fairuz's lyrics and her bioraphy, her whole family's biography and lyrics. I think you have shown us here that you are full of hatered and anger, thanks for your time and effort :-) and have a great day.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Your words are straight out of a cartoon, just like Said Akl's Ideology. Good luck to you...

  • @karimnn racists are everywhere.... trying to disprove Arabs in world history. it doesn't hv to be about religion... it's about racism, that's all. although not all ppl in Syria, Israel, n etc are Arabs, but still the ancestor Saam Ben Noah is the same. humanity is but one, unless if anyone ancestor came from Mars.

  • Read closely what you posted, "it doesn't have to be about religion", why are you linking Arabs with religion? It's a comon mistake though, don't worry about it. Arabs, are Muslims, Christians, Jews and Druze, as well as atheists.

  • @karimnn but you are forcing your views and beliefs on every Lebanese as most arabs do!!!!! !!!!!! .did ffirouz or gibran told you that they consider themselves as arabs ? how stupid is that ..... some Lebanese consider themselves arabs and a lot , specially the Christians don't ........i am Lebanese and im definitely not an arab .

you arabs should learn how to respect others and not forcing your beliefs on others

  • @mima1234561

Lebanon is part of the Arab league, and they are officially Arabs....now you can try to be anything you want, just don't say your Lebanese cuz Lebanese people are proud of their Arab roots. you can be assiran, phenician, idon'tgiveashittian, just don't call urself Lebanese :)

  • @m000ds

That is right, she is a wonderful singer of Antioch. Who sings wonderful Arabic songs. You do know the Lebanese people of Christian faith are older than their Muslim counter parts. People date back to Alexander the Great's time, while your Arab people forced themselves on neighbouring non-Arab countries around 690A.D. 800 years after the fact. I wish the Byzantine Empire joined forces with England the Western Roman Empire, they would have wiped out this Islamic surge.

  • @LilFuzzy101 too late now

  • @m000ds

    we are lebanese :)

  • @mima1234561 you need a cock in your mouth, if you dont know what a cock is ask you mom and sis about Ayre ya ayr. kis ekhtak sho hal 7mar

  • @moonslook The last hing we need is a fucking primitive sheat to leave a comment .you fucking bastard should go back to your dirty filthy roots to Iran

we educated you cleaned you up and made you a proper humans .all of you fucking. bastards who live in the west and yet hate them .all of you begged at the western embassies to get a visa to go and live among civilized people .Did you say thank you?off course not . you are a culture who take and what did you give back ? Nothing but TERRORISM

  • Comment removed

  • @mima1234561 actualy he considered himself syrian go read any book about him

  • @ghassanco1 who considers himself syrien? any way idont see any difrence between lebanese and syrien assyrin kiladany or arami or arab.any body that has semitic blood or speaks a semetic language is the same to me. so we have here a phenamenon called fayrouz that only comes around once in a 1000 years and waht we do ? we argue about nothing, lets just consider ourselves lucky and listen to fayrouz cuz once she s gone shes not coming back.

  • St. Maron was originally from Aleppo, Syria :) He moved to Mount Lebanon to escape persecution and that's where the Maronite church became huge. Go research it or ask an old person..lol

  • @wesamt

again you are missing the point ,i was saying that Christianity existed in Lebanon way before in syria ,Jesus himself went to qana, and sidone in Lebanon and did there his first miracles ,and there for a lot of people became christian ,and that's why Lebanese were the first Christians ................yes st maroon originally from Aleppo ,but syria then wasn't arabic ,and the Maronite church started later on from Lebanon not syria

  • I understand your point, but as you may know Jesus also went to parts of Syria as well to preach Christianity I'm not sure if he went to Damascus, but I know that it's very important in Christian history..anyways back to the main point, everybody back then was Aramaic not Arab...but now we're all Arab, few communities managed to escape the Arabization process such as Ma'aloula in Syria where Aramaic is still spoken so Lebanese Christian/Muslim/Druze are Arab, if not ethnically then culturally

  • I am sure many Aramaic people who are the original people of lebaon accepted christianity when jesus walked into lebanon but, at the very same time, Aramaic people(the assyrians) accepted the message of jesus christ in damascus and even in south east of turkey! but to those Aramaic Assyrian christians in lebanon then , i am sure that dissapeared after the Arab invasion of Lebanon and then St. Maron came to lebann and established his church.

  • St. Maron was an Assyrian chritstian orthodox (syriac orthodox) but before he established the Maronite church in the mount of Lebanon, there was no christianity there, even the orthodox and the catholics all came from Syria! The oldest church is in Damascus ater Jerusalem! by the way, the land of lebanon is definately belong to the Assyrian Aramaic people not the Arabs.

  • what is assyrian christian orthodox?

Maron was never a assyrian orthodox, what is this?

    Maron was ethnic Aramean

Maronites are originally Aramaic. St. Maron came here from Syria with a few monks, lived up in these mountains, and converted the people around him.

The Maronites are the descendants of the Aramean Christians of ancient Syria.

  • @ASSYRIANHERO you are correct100percent!

  • @ASSYRIANHERO lebenon belong to the akkadian they r like the arabs and have the semetic roots way before the assyrian even existed

  • Fayrouz's father is an Assyrian (Syriac Orthodox) from Turkey and her mother is Lebanese maronite i've heard, does anyone know anything about that im really intrested to know if its true. In my church (Syriac Orthodox) they sometimes play Fayrouz singing hymns in assyrian.

  • shes lebanese !!

  • The authentic Phoenicians voice. that took years to filter through the Cedars.

  • Diamond words!

  • Such beauty in the voice, and the emotions which Fairuz always stirs up in me..I cannot get tears generally, but she always makes them appear. God bless.

  • FAYROUZ...ENTI WATANY

  • One of my favorite songs ever, thank so much, I wonder if the stupid politicians in Lebanon ever listened to it, and if they did, if they ever understood it, and been moved by it. I doubt it strongly...
