  • @pillowbug there is a screw right before the barrel (on the forehand grip) and a 3 screws at the end of the stock right before the recoil springs. Take out the top one before the stock and the first screw that's right before the barrel starts. Take them out and Replace them with the sling mounts that came with the gun. If you don't have them, most gun stores will sell them.

  • Do you have any idea where the sling goes on this rifle. Unless it's a new concept 'mlost...

  • i got this gun from a friend and it was completely taken apart. this video helped me put it together so thank you, however he did something with the handle and clip the clip wont stay in any pointers?

  • Outstanding video! Great for the first timer in takedown and assembly! Thank you.

  • mine was a .45 and i used this video and everything is the same.

  • Thanks for the vid. everything went awesome.

  • Great job/great vid! Thank you.

  • this was a great video. thanks for taking the time to make it. i saved it on my profile so i can view it again when i am ready to clean my own (and of course i gave you a thumbs up). so far i have only fired about 100 rounds from mine, but i love it! no stovepipes or jams with the cheapest ammo off the rack. btw, when you load the mag, you can give a little slap up from the bottom to lock it in place. this should eliminate any problems with the first round loading :)

  • Great video. There aren't very many out there for the Hi-Points. I used this video for my H-P .40cal. Very simular. I have the same tacticle stock and everything. Thanks for your service to our country.

  • ty

  • Nice video. I just picked up my 995ts. It doesn't look hard, just has a lot of steps it seems. Hard is re-assembling a series 80 1911 receiver, lol.

  • Oooh. Thank you!!!!!

  • thanks for the video man. helped me out a lot!

  • oh also from hi point the extra magazines they sell say they are for either.

  • great video, realy appreciate it. I am looking at getting one after Christmas along with the c9 pistol for something to plinker with.

  • i loved this thanks man i sat down an went step by step with the video and it all went off without a hitch some parts where a lil difficult to get off but i havent ever fully taken it apart before but yeah great vid

  • Great Video. You can tell the man is military. Organized and knows his stuff

  • damn man i didn't think it was that easy thanks for the walk through very elaborate although i don't have the little tool but i made it work

  • Was this designed in the 1900's? Over complicated.

  • I would like to meet the CAD designer for this carbine.

  • Well Done !!!! Be Safe !

  • Holy shit that's a lot of parts to disassemble.

Anyone know the tested reliability of these parts over time?

  • Great video! Very instructive!

  • Thanks a lot! It is actually a pretty simple gun but intimidating on the first tear down.

  • Wait? There's a place to store the tool in the front grip? (inspects rifle) Wait, there's already a second tool in the front grip! I can't believe I missed that. Thank-you.

A very helpful video. I appreciate that you discuss not just how to break down and put it together, but also cover what you clean and lube.

  • I have one of the first models of the 995 so it was alittle different. I was the third owner on it with all private trades so wasn't positive if it was every cleaned. Can't believe how gummed up it was and still fired. Thank 03 and semper fi

  • I just bought a 995ts. Enjoyed shooting it, but getting it apart was another story. This video helped a lot. Semper Fi Bro

  • Thanks for the video Semper Fi

  • Just got a hi-point and the "manual" was not very helpful. This video was great; clear, concise, and to the point. Thanks, and thanks for your service.

  • thanks for the vid kid

  • Well done walkthrough. Can't wait to get mine...Budsgunshop drags ass on shipping for real, still waiting.

What power optic would you recommend for this carbine? Also do you prefer red dot or the conventional scope with cross-hairs?

  • Great Vid on this Hi Point

  • hell yah. thx for the video its was vary helpful

  • great video. this has to be one of the best ones out there. noob question, but on which gun parts do you place the gun lubricant on?

  • @atmpapi I like to use clp on the firing pin slot and the slide rails use proshot gold lube (grease). I have not had anything gumming up but I do use just enough to get the job done. The problem I could potentially see with this design is if you use clp exclusively for all the lube needs. This would attract dust and grime to a system that will not be taken down completely after every use.

  • Great video. Clear explaination. Easy to follow.

  • aww man PERFECT video for me.....was needing something like this as an instructional to clean this rifle.........nice looking weapon......where do i get that stock from with the pistol grip

  • @SukaRepellentItsBX This is how the carbine came from the factory. The only difference is you can get them with the with or without the pistol grip or with the grip and a laser.

  • How much have you fired it and how has it run for you? Thanks!

  • @aaadream 200 rounds and the only complaint is magazine insertion can hang up sometimes but the gun does well for the price range. I usually take out to 25-50yds. I need to put a red dot on it. The magazine design works but I'm not a fan of it. I wish you could use glock mags like the keltecs. Oh well it's cheap though.

  • You did a great job on the video. Have you ever thought of using balistol clean and lubricant? If you want a can of it to try it I have no problem sending you one for free, I have about 3 or 4 cans laying around and one can will last you months and months.

  • Great video, always a fan of these carbines. This will be a great video for people who own it for reference. Thanks for making it.

  • You make some great videos, thank you for your service.

  • @ChromeFreak123 thanks man

  • Is the magazine to the 995 non-interchangeable with the pistols?

  • @byrdjp I don't know about that I think the pistols mags are diff at the bottom.
