I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this animation is way off. The radius of the sun is about 100 times the size of earth, meaning about 1 million earths wil fit inside it. This animation does not show that at all.

@72ve17 well the planets they showed exist because we have observed them. They are in our own solar system. The rest are stars which we have also observed. The size is our best estimate based on their motion relative to our sun or galaxy (it's a bit more complex than this.)

The straight line, i mean, the smaller distance through 2 opposite poins in the line of Equator... is passing through the Center of the Earth, right? So... it fals from 40.000km to aprox 12.750km. Russia and these millions kilometers you're talking about, they're square kilometers. The data is a straight measure. Km... not Km²
