This IS an unfair conparison you should put a DB9 against a GT because they are the same type of car, the DB9 is a GT and so is the GT (obviously) and they are similar prices too which brings me to the next point, they both cost about 100k although most ppl where talking about the GT v Vanq. S which IS too dear!
My choise wud be Aston DB9( every day )!!!!!!!!!! It is the best
I agree. I almost joined the conversation about comparing the cars, but I couldn't get over how bad the "video" was. I've been more enertained by watching paint dry than this effort.

Ever hear of people taking their sportscars to tracks where they can legally go very fast with them? Okay, if not, look into it if/when you buy a sportscar. There are plenty of videos of people taking their cars to tracks around the world (Nurburgring being most famous, if you live in Europe; Sebring in the US is popular, among others) to bring them to. The Ford GT is better than Lamborghini Murcs and Galls which cost like $50,000+ more than it; better than Ferrari F430s which cost around $40,000+ more than it. My two favourite cars! That aston is simply gorgeous, class and it's a James Bond's car! But the ford gt has a great story too, it's really different but the style is incredible as the performances... I'd say the aston however!

Ye, and the Vanquish S has a V12 not a V8, That's more cylinders to power! Plus, its more powerful too. 560bhp. Although I must congratulate america on getting 550hp out of a 5.4l V8, not about 200hp! lol
and there is nothing wrong with its selectronic paddle gear box. if your saying its bad becasue it responds slowly changing down, thats only in the vanquish, the vantage paddles are attached to an auto gear box so they respond alot quicker.
i agree with AaronBenedetti although i would have said the vanquish s would wipe the ford gt40 like a dirty ass, rather than a floor. But even though the aston is better, i dont have $250,000 so ill just stick to my hsv gts. it kicks all ass

well since its won awards for most beautyful car and just by looking at its smootth curves and dull aluminum glow and knowing it was hand built by well paid engineers instead of 100's of robots shooting cars off assembly lines i prefer my cars to prefection than speed and if you really want speed then id like to see a gt agaist the DB9S (DB9R but road legal)
Talking about GT? Then lets have a nice look at how the Corvette C6.R is dominating over Aston Martin at 24 hour Le Mans! Corvette C5.R and C6.R have won the last 5 out of 6 Le Mans 24 hr. races; 4 out of those 5 wins were 1-2 finishes - both Corvettes came in 1st and 2nd place. ;)

That's Europes fault, not Americas. Europe prices our American cars higher, because of import taxes, among other things I'm sure.
So, the Ford GTs cheaper price STILL holds water in my argument, because over in the U.S. it's cheaper than buying an Aston Martin HERE, anyway!

Ford GT actually has better mpg compared to the much more expensive Aston Martin Vanquish S!
Vanq S mpg: 11 mpg city, 17 mpg highway.
Ford GT mpg: 13 mpg city, 21 mpg highway.
