My sheltie used to always try to avoid eye contact when he knew he was in trouble. Key word "knew". They are such intelligent and loving dogs. I love Shelties. I had to put my Sheltie Shane down of 11 years 4 days before my 24th birthday on October 1st. I had him since I was a kid and I miss him so much. My goal now is to work so I can afford to buy 2 of my own.
OMG.. That is the look alright... I have two that do the same exact response.. One will grovel at my feet, the other avoids eye contact with me and silently exits the room.. and you know he got his treat afterwards..
dont be angry with me for long, and dont lock me up as punishment. you have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. i only have you. the dog is an animal that sometimes dont understand so why the punishment, he is going to do it more if you do that so i hate people that do this with animals so you are a stupid, zombie going back the rules

I also had a sheltie named Cody. After twenty years I finally had to put him down two days ago............ I miss him so much
