@neilpiano low budget means different things in different eras. It was definatly a cheapie of its time. Pre-video even a low budget film could run up quiet the bill
Nice collection you've got behind you. I was wondering if you would have any idea about a vampire movie that seemed sort like a Blade rip-off, it had a black guy as the star? It came out around 2006 and I was looking for it but forgot the name. :(
@CameronMcCasland Thanks! I've actually got most of the screenplay wrote down, all's I need to do is shoot a second promo with actual footage of the killer, make a budget plan and then attempt to raise some funds.
Thanks again for the movie suggestions, I'm looking forward to watching these films once I can get a hold of them.. Low-budget horror is my favorite and I also take notes for my own endeavors from watching them..
@CameronMcCasland Well, I finally got a decent Hi8 video camera and I was able to acquire a better editing machine a long with some great editing software, so filming will begin next month no matter what. I'm playing an Amish Blacksmith who not only makes many instruments of death but kills as well, then I cast my best friend as an Amish Butcher who does the most killing. I'll be sure to let you know when the next promo hits, it will be good..
no real plans to do one. All of my discs are indexed at dvd aficionado if anyone wants to cruise them. I'll take it under consideration, but I think i'd rather show some of the stuff i really love rather than just running down the spins of discs on my shelves.
Warren Oates is the best actor of his generation man! I love "Race with The Devil". Oates could pull off anything. "Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia" is just mindblowing, top 3 Peckinpah for me, and it contains one of Warren's finest performances. "Cockfighter"/"Two-Lane" (Hellman) and Peter Fonda's ""The Hired Hand" are also amazing. Oates and Fona made a great team. I also love "92 In The shade", it's hard to find, but you should check it out. Peace -Jan
Stephen Herek did not like the story line for Critters 2 and wanted a bigger budget if he was going to do it but they only put up the same amount of money. But since Critters did well in the box office he got a bunch of offers and went on to do Bill and Ted.
Critters! I loved that movie growing up! I haven't seen Bad Taste but I adore Dead-Alive/Braindead so I'll have to check it out. That and I Drink Your Blood. "Satanist hippies" made me LOL. ;-)
type in The Harrison House Trailer on youtube.
it's a 600 dollar budget indie horror film... i crudded my pants
