  • Although I am atheist, this man makes very good points

  • @NinjaGiggler He does make some good points. I used to be an atheist, too, btw..

  • "god" has not only 1 but MULTIPLE entire universes to run, play with it and watch what's going on. the planet earth is not even the center of the universe, it's not even the center of the Milky Way and much less the center of the solar system. If God indeed exists, what mekes you all thing that "he" (I call "it") can give 2 shits hearing prayers and what happens here. C'mon!

  • I hate listening to all this bullshit and I can't help looking for these videos so I can be even more pissed off with the bible absurds people think and believe...OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The fact that this is even a question is insulting....

  • That's evolution which is right. But if you believe in the story of noah's ark, chances are you don't believe in evolution.

  • Diluted, his personal ideology on what he considers facts in the bible. Big problem. SOme points but overall, my heart feeling is one of sickness.Sound Mormon to you about NATIVE AMERICANS?

  • I was a born atheist. I believed in darvin's theories & natural selection. I can clearly see here, in this debate, among the church members, that the question is asked from natural selection theory, that is sown among church members as an evil seed of doubt. Here John Piper is trying to show God's Love & Sovereignty to them. But natural selection can't be friend with God's love. The mind of an atheist is not in a condition to recieve these attributes of God, unless he meets Jesus his saviour.

  • of course this is how a white guy exsplains it no offense to him but the question should have been answered directly which is to say that all races have the same issues, the same sins, the same lower or higher IQ's, all have financially sucsessful, and or poor, all have some on drugs or alcohol, white or asian people have come up with more inventions not over IQ but because they whites oppressed the other races down for many centuries leaving them behind!

  • @drjustincyr and everyone else who says that jesus wasn't white well arabs consider themselves white seimitic people also consider themselves white just because we in the west might not consider them but they are white even if the pigment is a little darker. In fact in America many latino mexican asian and even mixed people consider themselves white.

  • @GosuGrinder Firstly I must say "U R WRONG"--secondly I must say the middle eastern region began to "lighten up" when the influx of Greeks and Romans came in to dominate the region. Before this influx, you would have seen a much darker hue of people. In fact, if you actually go over to the region you will see many indigenous dark middle Eastern people. Sorry but Jesus would not be considered white---u r wrong

  • @mikedonovandad I didn't say he was white..... so you are wrong I said that many middle eastern and semitic people consider themselves white I know many brazilians who are literally the color black and consider and label themselves (such as on census) as white..... I state evidence you say they are darker than white people real bright of you ( no pun intended )

  • @GosuGrinder they're brainwashed

  • If we are talking about ethnicity than Jesus isn't white at all! We were fed a white Jesus who the Europeans brought. I am not a racist at all! I do know that Jesus wasn't white; if you don't believe it please do some research.

That being said. It doesn't matter what race He is, as long as we can be saved, that's all that matters. Jesus never promoted hate. If you do not love you have not God

  • Do I really have to define what race is?

  • Shoundn't there be only one race? Since the earth was repopulated by Noah's family (insest... nasty) which was one race, then we should all be that race. We couldn't have evolved into other races because evolution is a myth.

Wait a minute I'm confused. It's almost like the bible makes no sense at all. But that can't be right cause god himself wrote it and I know this is fact because the bible says so.

  • Define "race."

  • @35Rumblefish Of course there should be more than one race because people moved to different areas of the earth causing different genetic mutations to happen based upon the enviroment. But if you study genetics you know that the black gene (the closest to the original) is dominant and all others are recessive.

  • @mikedonovandad Again silly bro if the black gene was the original gene and by your admission it is the dominant gene no other race would be created out of it. For the silly theory ignorant people state that white people are mutated blacks go and learn about heredity and then feel relieved of dropping such a stupid theory.

  • Wasn't god kinda racist? I mean he did prefer the Jews over all the others. He was must definenatly sexist, there's no denying that.

  • John Piper elaborated on how he would approach the question. I had hoped that he would have a direct yes/no answer supported by the Bible...

  • @dheenabandhu If anything, the Bible emphasizes on the Jewish people being the chosen; and by that it can be concluded that Middle-Eastern people are 'more worthy'.

  • The bible says that jesus came for all men... not the whites, then the blacks, then the chinese, then the rest of the world........ Oh and just to let you know....... JESUS WASNT WHITE!!!!! He was a middle easterner...... look up jeruselum and egypt on a map... its in middle east...

  • Does it really Matter. We were ALL BORN IN SIN AND SHAPEN IN INIQUITY. We ALL need Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. One day, SOON, the Bible says we shall all be Changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye and the corruptible must put on incorruption and the mortal must put on immortality. FOR GOD SO LOVED THE "WORLD" that he gave his only begotten son that WHOSOEVER, believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting LIFE. At the judgement seat of Christ will race matter? NO!

  • Im Sure jesus looked like Any Jewish Person Of His Day

  • What about albinos?

  • No I think the Germans are that way the same way English people are hypocrits by way of life. I'm english by race. I see it all as demonic and I reject it all.

  • More superstition treated as if it was reality.

There are NO FACTS worth mentioning in The Bible or any other works of superstitious fiction.

  • I don't see anywhere in the BIble where it says what race Adam and Eve were. Is it possible that Adam was a Tall, Caucasian, Blond haired, Blue/green eyed man and Eve was a shorter, Dark skinned, oriental featured type woman? Or maybe the opposite or maybe another mix of features for both? Anything is possible for Adam and Eve therefor we can not say the White man is favored by God since we don't know what He created with Adam and Eve.

  • his face when he when asked this question is absolutely priceless!! lmbo

  • race is just a result of different climate. africans are dark because they originate from the equator, which has more sunlight.

whites are paler because they originate from ural mountains - less sunlight.

europe is most advanced, only because of the huge amount of war that has happened their. if that many wars happened in africa, im sure africa would be most advanced.

  • @comrade127 well egyptians were pretty advanced..and they are africans ;)

  • Comment removed

  • Whites are the weakest race tha bible said bronze skin and wool hair he was black but if all blacks knew we wouldn't except 2nd class citzenship if god only made Adam and eve to get all these other races had to b dark black fact blacks can create every race wakin this earth slavery was to bury tha truth from us and indoctrinate tha world with white lies Wen truth is other races were here 6000yrs before Europe

  • So....Jesus being a Jew in the middle east...that makes him what? White? LOL no.....

  • @shipleyshipster It's actually well documented that the line of David was white, and Christ was from the line of David. The apostles might have been all different colors though.

  • @shipleyshipster If you accept the possibility of Jesus being born in the middle east then you accept and the possibility of His divine Father too, that's how the story goes. Light is white, but regardless of its colour, Jesus was not subject to gene inheritance from a mortal father in any case. Isn't it obvious?

  • Whites are the least likely to be White supremacists or even racialists, yet are the first to be labeled racist. Why? Anti-racism itself is anti-White.

  • I got as far as "facts i know from the bible"

  • there is no such living thing either plant, human, fish, animal anything that is any better or more important than any living thing. and you miserable pieces of shit who think your better or superior to anyone or any living things you deserve to have your face rubbed in a giant pile of dog shit cause your a ignorant stupid cunt :)

  • @candiceevans1 Yes, pain often leads people to religion but cultural immersion is probably the number one reason. Pain also leads people to become racist too btw.

"just believing Jesus was a real person is meaningless"

    Yes! I couldn't agree more.

  • "is this person saying that on the basis of some book they've read...or are they saying it on the basis of experiences growing up around a certain... group, where they've seen everybody act a certain way...or because they're dad always talked this way..."

Riiiight.. so exactly the conditions that lead people to become a christian then?

  • I would say is impossible for a real Christian to be racist. And I mean, racist enough to think whites are superior to other races.

I'm biracial by the way... black and white... lol

  • He seems like a great man. Nice answer. :)

  • he should have used the bible,,, Acts 17. 26...And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

  • What the fuck we are all one and white is no different but they are some ignorant folks

  • @blaklagoon1 Back then everybody that was darker then a white European were called "black"..... arabs were called "moors". Arabs, Berbers and other darker skinned non-negro North African peoples did contribute a lot to the sciences in ancient times and they were called "moors" (blacks) by the Europeans but they were NOT of the negroid persuasion.

  • @blaklagoon1 I never claimed that the Egyptians were not dark complected, many of them were, my only point was that the ancient Egyptians were not NEGROES. All the information backs up my claim..... it is like trying to provide you with facts that the ancient chinese were not negroes.

  • @blaklagoon1 Blonde hair, red hair, blue eyes extra is very rare for negroes... sure it does happen but not often so stop trying to act like it is a common thing for negroes to have things like blonde hair because it just isnt. Do you really think that the Romans, Germanics and others were intermarrying with "negro" Egyptians, sorry but that wasnt the case, the Egyptians were mainly caucasian.

  • @blaklagoon1 First of all, the Egyptians were not negroes, this is proven time and time again, even today in Northern Africa the negro is looked down on. There were certainly "race wars" in Ancient Egypt, the negroes were southern. The population of Egyptians was typically darker then say Northern Europeans but they were not "negroes". Ask yourself what are the chances that most of the Egyptian pharoahs had blue eyes, red hair and other caucasian features yet were negroes.

  • @TheEnslavingForce Einstein is a very notable Jewish figure.

  • Comment removed

  • god is fake

  • @blaklagoon1 Wrong, the Egyptians were also lighter skinned peoples, they actually warred with the more southern african nubians who were the negroes (this was one of histories first "race wars"). The Egyptian empire was almost solely ruled by light skinned peoples, some of them even had red hair and blue eyes, there was one negro ruler of Africa and that was the regime which sunk Egypt into the ground economically and militarily.

  • What about when god calls you to stone someone?

  • Thank God for you John. The world needs more men like you these days that will speak the truth. You're are such a blessing.

  • I love how he would respond by asking if the person had read one book,or took this view from their father(upbringing),as this would be narrow minded.Sounds like how some people get into religion...hmm.

  • No, Ham gave rise to Babylone. So Jews and Irakians.

  • it shouldnt even take time to aswer this dude is racist.

  • @martystreets Did you ever listen to the video? This man is arguing AGAINST racism. Are you really that daft?

  • @DarkSwan641 you believe everything someone says? well I dont and its deaf not daft

  • @martystreets Actually "daft" is a word that describes you fairly well and is the word I meant to use. It's not about believing everything John Piper says. Just watch the video and you will see that there is nothing racist about it and argument should be made to the contrary.

  • @DarkSwan641 I never said it wasnt a word some calm down> I watch the video already and I know what he said but im not convinced

  • @martystreets Your comment showed that you did not recognize 'daft' as a word. Also, in your original comment you say that John Piper is clearly racist from this video which is completely untrue. That is how I knew you commented hastily before seeing the fully video.

  • @DarkSwan641 you won. . But i knew daft was a word I just thought u misuse itI listen to daft punk a lil then i look up the word years back.

  • asians in throughout east asia pre B.C.

  • Dumbass?? I built my own multi profit company from my one bedroom apt. Im educated in Monetary Economics, Constitutional Law, Middle Easteren, Arab, and Eastern European Politics. How am I lying?? Your argument contains so many fallacies Im not sure where to begin. If Egytians were black then were at some point are they lighter then sub sahrian Black now? Whites didnt exist?? Where did u get that Hypothesis from> ofcourse their were whites throughout northern europe scandanvia as there were

  • I have respect for John Piper but sometimes his way of beating around the bush with topics really gets on my nerves. Fact is the worlds filled with people. Some people are white, some are black, some are brown etc. People are people and anything more you add to that is human prejiduce and ignorance. He needs to just come out and say it.

  • I re-watched this video. John made a remark around the 3 minute mark. But he had a caveat to national groups that their 'traits' were either 'genetic or cultural'... he did say ,'I don't know'. His essential message was 'racism' was incompatible with what demands God of 'Christians'. I won't diss someone for ideology.

  • Whites are superior to blacks but on a similar level to east Asians.

  • @CuriosityRoads The very idea of "superiority" is a social construct. Within God's creation there is nothing that is superior to another unless God proclaims it to be such and nowhere throughout Scripture has God declared a certain ethnic group to be "superior" to another on the basis of their own worldly strength, it is God himself who sets certain nations above others through HIS OWN power. White nations have been blessed, but that blessing may very well leave us as we desert the LORD.

  • He just said that 'genetic difference can be traced to people's nationalities'? WTF?

Does this guy really have a clue what he's talking about?

  • @granddad2002 Ummm it is true, different ethnicities (not nationalities but ethnicities) have different genetics. That is why we find genetic disorders that are clearly related to ethnicity. Tay-Sachs disease, for example, is a genetic disorder which is found almost exclusively in ashkenazi jews while sickle-cell anaemia is a genetic disorder which is found almost exclusively in blacks. Different ethnicity=different genetics. You are apparently very ill-informed regarding this so keep quiet.

  • @WorshipInTruth There is a huge gap between 'Ethnicity' and 'Genetics'. You can't inherit 'culture' from your parents. Social constructs vs hereditary traits are different types of data with vastly different methods of investigation. I am familiar with heredity diseases; there are huge foundations working on curing patients who suffer from these disorders. I'm not giving this guy a pass on this. Human genetic diversity has factors beyond the standard model of a handful of racial molds!

  • @granddad2002 What does this conversation have to do with "culture" or "social constructs"? We are speaking strictly of genetics which are inherited from your parents. We all belong to certain collective genetic groups which have distinct genetic traits, only those who have been firmly indoctrinated with "political correctness" would even attempt to deny this obvious scientific fact.

  • @granddad2002 But since you mention culture I feel that I should relay to you that we not only inherit distinct genetic traits common to the ethnicity of our parents but we also inherit common cultural traits, the only difference is that cultural differences can be overcome through cognitive awareness while genetic differences cannot be.

  • Does this theory works where the Palestinians and Arabs are concern? Lately I have noticed how christians are willing to disregard the "love your enemy and neighbor" theory as soon as Iran, Palestinine and Muslims are mentioned in the same line with Israel. Today, there were many calls for the nuking of Iran...many even linked the persia gulf crisis to prophecy and the end of the world.

  • Where do these people get there message from..which bible they are reading?

  • @SuperJahmali

    "which bible they are reading?"

The same Bible in which god tells his people to perform genocide on other tribes, since they're different.

  • If god existed, we have reason to believe he does. But we are lucky, there is NONE only the void.

  • did God makes whites superior to other races? haha! really? this got a response from this man? oh man! well since this man is wrong about election and grace and atonement! why am i not surprised! the germans are trying to wash away the guilt for the biggest crime against humanity they committed!

  • NO! Did God make Whites superior? No! um no>

  • the hebrews, africans, egyptians and greeks were all black in biblical days. The only people who weren't were the romans

  • @80spopQueen that is absolutley positively false.

  • @ChaloLaMarmota and your proof lays where? Look at the anceint hyroglipics and see for your self

  • @80spopQueen wrong, wrong, wrong...... Egyptians,Hebrews, and Greeks were not Black (Especially Greeks). Egyptians have darker skin pigmentation as well as northern africans including the moors back in the day, but they were not black. If there were ever blacks in early egyptian, moor, or even present day egyptian, north african culture (which of course there were and still are) they derive from sub saharian african descent.

  • @abrahamkarr12 no no no... omfg go look at the hyroglipics for yourself! they all came from ethiopia about 8000 years ago. I have several books about the matter, so unlike you im not speaking from my butt. GO look up Kush, Kemmet and tell me if the "City of the burn faces" was not ruled by blacks

  • @80spopQueen:

    - And where did you learn to read hieroglyphics, exactly? Pray share, that we too might know.

    - Check your sources again. "All but the Romans" "came from Ethiopia about 8000 years ago"? Your comments add up to that, and I can safely say that that allegation contradicts the very hypothesis that you're quoting. And what would you say about the civilisations that pre-dated the Romans on the very territory that was, in its day, called Rome?

  • @choralseraphine the real name of anceint egypt was called Kemmet, the father regions of the Sahara were a group of another kingdom called Kush. ON the walls of the tombs, the egyptians exlplained how they went up the nile and made settlement around the area we now called egypt. They were the first to use a split government system and devided Kemet in 4 regions (states) Thebes( a very popular city in egypt), Memphis, Medamud abd Gebelein.

  • @80spopQueen:

    - You're still not linking us back to Rome and your claim that Romans were the only whites

    - You're still not bothering to cite your sources on hieroglyphic reading*

... and therefore you haven't answered my questions, meaning you don't sound too credible to me.

"the real name of anceint egypt was called Kemmet"

Please account for the reason why the Hittites called it something like Misr (which is close to the modern Arabic name of the place).

  • @choralseraphine lol! talk about Irony. I just came from a debate ternament so stuff like this tickles my peach. I'll send you the sites! =)

  • His mannerisms blatantly indicate that he wholeheartedly believes in The Lie. White superiority is a completely fallible notion derived from the depraved mind of the Caucasian. God says that you can judge another by the fruit that he produces. Does anyone actually believe that the white man/woman has borne or is bearing good fruit right now? The answer lies in the character rather than in the color of the individual.

  • @fastbrk83 Actually listen to Piper. His newest book, Bloodlines, is about racism and Christianity. Grow up.

  • @fastbrk83 His mannerisms blatantly indicate that he always talks like that.:/

  • It is pretty obvious that God made the British in his own image ,to represent the highest form of life in the Universe, and after that He went downhill and created Drains , Baseball and The French.

  • This guy practices unicycle theology. He does more backpedaling than a circus clown. Jesus wasn't white, he was a Jew!! Luther and Calvin and all the Popes hated Jews with a passion. Read their writings, they justified banishment, torture and burning alive all those they considered heretics. Reformers denied Catholic authority but they didn't hesitate to use their methods. It was open season on Jews, Anabaptist and other dissenters and Piper knows it. Ye must be born again. Repent & believe.

  • @mwilson70201

O.o Are you commenting on this video? This guy's talking about races, not the treatment of heretics.

  • @brad175 Your right, I got off topic. Sorry.

  • @mwilson70201 I'm not sure why you perceive Luther's, Calvin's and the Popes' anti-semitic policies as relevant to this video. Piper clearly doesn't, and neither Piper nor any noteworthy Christian figure alive today agrees with those men on that issue. It's clear that you want to feel cynical about evangelical Christianity, but why not keep your critizisms in the present?

  • @smithiank To the contrary I'm all about evangelism. I am cynical about the idea of Calvinist evangelism where whosoever will becomes those who are predestined will. Instead of inviting sinners to be saved informing the elect they are already saved. Also Piper didn't convince me he's not a supremacist. Fastbrk 83 has doubts too. When men believe their actions are foreordained they are capable of all manner of mischief. It gives them a reason for every tragedy, an excuse for every sin.

  • @mwilson70201 Sorry, I suppose I shouldn't have made such a quick judgment about your opinions. Having attended Calvinistic churches almost my whole life (= 14 years), I feel that I can say with assurance that Calvinism, in general, doesn't make these errors. Calvinists and Arminians can do evangelism together perfectly well, since we both agree (with Scripture) that whoever will, will be saved. Also, Calvinists do universally affirm that people are morally culpable for their actions.

  • @smithiank I know some are subs and some supras, and I've had the misfortune of dealing mainly with supras. Some of the vilest you can imagine, turning God's grace into lasciviousness. Their primary goal is to convert believers to Calvin not sinners to Christ. Nice to find a man who isn't that way.

  • @mwilson70201 Ouch, I'm sorry that you've experienced this. I've never seen it, but my exposure to Calvinism has been almost exclusively to the more academic R.C. Sproul/D.A. Carson/John MacArthur variety that thrives at least in here in the upper Midwest as opposed to a more aggressive, liscenious brand that apparently exists elsewhere. Perhaps, if I were to visit other Calvinistic congregations, I would be equally appalled.

  • I say this with love. You need to repent John. Seriously. The answer to the question should have been an obvious, "Of course not." But you are pussy footing around. I'm actually speechless at your response to this. The bible says, "The poor shall inherit the earth" Now work it out. What is superior anyway? In the eyes of man or God. It reminds me of children in a playground who argue about who's my best friend. Very immature.

  • @einsteinhawkins Correction. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

  • @einsteinhawkins PS , God told the Meek that they weren`t going to inherit the Earth after all ,but they were fine with that.

  • @einsteinhawkins The question is how do you respond to church members who say this, not whether it is right or wrong. It seems to me like he wants to get at the heart of why they feel that way and confront that. It's obvious to anyone who reads the bible that it's wrong.

  • why would you even post a response to such a dumbass question?

  • I believe that there is a deep level of maturity you reach in Christ that a person's race doesn't matter at all...It is maturity in which you are secured in your understanding of who Christ is and who you are in Christ.Rather than race becoming a factor in how u related with others, all you see is your brother or sister in Christ and a lost world.

  • This question is what I would call a no-brainer.

    The answer is NO!.

The fact that he has to think about it at all, says volumes about him.

  • @Darwinsman Piper treats every question carefully not because he is unsure but to give reason not just a one word answer. The question was asked because someone wants to consider the route to the problem and also in a Christian perspective how to show that the Biblical authority and example from Christ contradicts their racist stance. It's not simply about condemning but also to change the heart of the person in the wrong because they are still valuable. That all takes a moment to ponder.

  • @stephjh2006 For most questions, I would clearly agree with you, but for this, only someone who supports the proposition, but didn't want to appear racist, should need any time at all to think about it. There's only one answer. NO!

As for treating every question carefully and considering his answers. In another interview John was asked if it was OK for god to Slaughter women and children. He didn't hesitate for a moment on that one. He fully approves of god slaughtering innocent people at will.

  • @Darwinsman I think you are being unfair, and perhaps something is clouding your judgement. Clearly Piper is not racist. The delay is completely expected. The question can't be answered "no" as the question is "how would you respond to church members who claim to follow Christ, but believe that whites are superior to other races by Gods design" to reply "no" in no time at all would not be an answer to the question. Clearly his response came from his moment of thought, don't be a hater :)

  • @stephjh2006 Sorry, but my answer is the same.

Having been asked the question the way he was, he should instantly have said that people who think like that are not christians in any sense of the word and take the consequences of losing some of his support.

His pause was more for his own self interest than in the interest of truth, but what else can one expect from someone who thinks that god can slaughter innocent women and children whenever he feels like it.

  • @Darwinsman "losing some of his support" I don't think his church would have many racists.

Let’s be honest the only one who is coming across as bigoted here is yourself. It is like many Youtube atheists, they hate people for their beliefs and hold people to a higher measure than they hold themselves and lie about them. perhaps listening to a few words from the guy you hate "first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye"

  • @stephjh2006 1. I don't hate people for their beliefs. If I did, I'd have to hate most of my close friends and family.

That's a typical christian cop-out. rather than deal with the issue, accuse the person making the challenge of being hate filled, then you can sit back feeling smug self-righteousness.

If you think that anyone who believes that the white races are superior to other races is in any way displaying "christian" standards, then it is you who has the plank in his eye, not me. Cont'd.

  • @Darwinsman Perhaps you don't hate, but your certainly blinded by a bias. Piper doesn't condone racism in this video at all. You are taking a pause and inserting your assumption. If I was asked this question I would pause and think, it is not a common question what the heck is wrong with using your brain and considering? Piper distinguishes between the teachings of Christ and their misconception, believe me this is not my plank, my plank is something else.

  • @stephjh2006 I am blinded by bias?

quote: "Why is it wrong for God to bring about the death of women and children? Why would it be wrong if I were to kill women and children? Is there a difference?"

It is wrong for anyone to kill anyone just because it pleases them. If you or Piper or anyone cannot see that, then you are indeed biased and blinded from any morality by your faith.

I never said that Piper was a racist, but he gives an ambiguous answer to a clear cut question of racism.

  • @Darwinsman The questions were genuine questions. Are these things wrong? Can we just pluck from the air that these are wrong? Or does morality have a grounding? Is it subjective? Is it absolute?

Does God have a right to take life? Do we have a right to take life? Is it the same? Or if it is not the same what distinguishes the 2?

  • @Darwinsman If you were honest, and not being biased because of hate, you would have to, as any clear minded individual would be, say that John Piper answers the question very well.

Perhaps you didn't like the answer he gave to another question as you keep mentioning "innocent people" being slaughtered, I would have to see it. But following usual patterns it is likely that it is regarding a passage that you, as with most atheists, don't know or understand. You can send me a link if you like

  • @stephjh2006 Ignoring your accusation of hate again, I'd say that anyone truly open minded and not blinded by the bias of blind faith would say that, at the very least, he dodged and weaved in answering the question.

As for not understanding. When asked about the slaughter of women and children; without hesitation, Piper says:

"it's right for god to slaughter women and children, anytime he pleases."

    Watch?v=taYhbRm6pnU

I'm interested to see how you "interpret" and support this horrendous phrase.

  • @Darwinsman Why is it wrong for God to bring about the death of women and children? Why would it be wrong if I were to kill women and children? Is there a difference?

  • @stephjh2006 I suppose that I can take your lack of an answer as:

yes, you agree with John pPiper that it's right for god to slaughter women and children, anytime he pleases.

At least you had the honesty not to deny it.

  • @Darwinsman I don't understand why people "hate" for no reason. I bet J. Piper would not respond in like

  • FUCK YOU.

  • @motibi It is a longing of the soul to believe that all will be saved, after all who wants their neighbour to be damned or their brother etc, but the bible is clear that yes "many" will be saved but "many" will also not be. Top of my head I can't give exact passages but consider the picture in Revelation of the damned, Jesus referring to narrow is the gate, Jesus' parables where many are excluded. It is a painful truth that "many" doesn't mean all.

  • Shem isn't even the ancestor of the whites...he's father of the Asians and Middle Easterners...so this 'white' argument doesn't hold. I thought Paul already covered in the New Testament the fact that Jews (Shem-ites) can no longer claim exclusive and special blessing vs us Gentiles because God has made a way for the Gentiles from His . Point is, we

  • @106898209 I guess the DNA evidence is just shitty science which should be ignored then ................

  • @oswald. Hmmm I wonder how the chinese got here in that case. It must be some kind of Super- Evolution. God doesnt like too many smart questions Oswald. Be careful, or he might murder everyone again, the loving old Father that He is

  • if we're all descendants of Noah aren't we all from the same race?

  • Seriously, i don't think it is such a difficult question to answer. Brother.

  • I don't know why people make such a big deal about why some people have more of a chemical in their body than others. --- Gen. Colin Powell

  • What's weird is that what you're saying makes sense to me. Now, I hold no stock by the bible and was incredibly offended by your homophobic views when I saw that particular video... I find it hard to believe that any loving God would turn his back on anyone who has lived a good life, gay or otherwise. Please thumb this up so Mr Piper will have more of a chance of seeing it. Thank you.

  • @YourMumJC God is love in the fact that we have ALL recieved mercy. Scripture states that one sin, one sin, is punishable buy a swift and instant death. The problem is that all of us don't understand how Holy God is and how unholy we are. God is love for the fact that he is so merciful and has so much longsuffering towards us and gives us opportunities to come to him and recieve Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. None of us deserve anything from God.

  • @TheNatureBoy Yeah , but "Scripture" is just like any other "Holy book". It makes claims that are wrong. You shouldn`t take it seriously, unless you give equal weight to other mythological claims that are demolished by the evidence. Odin might not let you into Asgard if you anger him.

  • @ilikezappa The Bible is unlike any other "holy book". Every other religion out there tells you that you have to be righteous. You are the one that has save yourself. It's is blasphemy to say you can do works good enough to earn salvation that pleases the creator. Look at us. We are nothing but prideful, arrogant, selfish humans. We care nothing about others. But, in Jesus Christ it is all different. In Jesus we recognize our failures, and we bow the knee to Him, and He saves us. He does it all.

  • @TheNatureBoy The Bible is like all the other books in that it makes the claim that an invisible spirit world controls everything ,without the benefit of any evidence. It also curses Humanity with the idea that it is wretched and worthless. You may care nothing about other people , but I think I have some good in me. PS "Blasphemy" means questioning religion , then I am a proud blasphemer. Eternal life my ass. Who wants that?

  • @ilikezappa The evidence of God is in all of creation. I just look around at nature and see it's diversity, but look at how it is all intertwined to support itself as God intended. However man is fallen. Man is boastful in himself. Man makes himself God of God. I deeply care for other people, no where near as much as I should. But it's also not to build myself up, but God put that in me to let his love flow through me. I'm not perfect and any Christian who says he is, lies to himself and God.

  • @TheNatureBoy The diversity of nature is best explained by the scientific method ,which clearly demonstrates that living creatures have common ancestors. If you dispute this , you are either not familiar with the evidence (which is not too hard to put right ) or you dont care , which is shameful.

  • @NBW Sorry to use the "E" word three times in three posts. It seems like the facts are the mountain that your faith has some difficulty in moving.

  • @ilikezappa My faith has moved mountains. I have been a wicked man, and an unloving husband. But God came into my heart and is changing that. He no longer lets me love myself. He empowers me to love me wife. He gives me the strength to persue goodness and holiness. My mountain was my cold dead heart. He made that heart come alive for Him and for His glory.

  • @TheNatureBoyWooooo I wish you happiness , but it doesn`t mean you are not a primate.

  • @YourMumJC The issue is that what is the measure of a "good life"? Is it just homosexuality? What about you and I?

  • By simple. Logic, jesus was born in modern day Iraq, which means he was almost certainly black (middle eastern, not african).

  • WHITE PEOPLE ARE BETTER THAN BLACKS. BLACKS ARE NOT VERY SMART THEY SHOULD STILL BE SLAVES TO THE WHITE MAN THATS ALL THERE GOOD FOR ALL ARE JAILS ARE FULL OF BLACK I WONDER WHY...

  • @Normpercy "They`re" is how you spell it ,Professor. You should be careful when you call people dumb.

  • @Normpercy You are an idiot. Blacks are absolutely not idiots. You're a racist asshole. Jails are full of blacks? There's an equal amount of whites in jails!! You are an unintelligent bastard who, well, knows absolutely nothing and should just keep you're bigot mouth shut.

  • @Normpercy white cops?

  • We aren`t children of God,we evolved from Slime , apart from racists , who are still struggling with that !

  • @ilikezappa I am still struggling to not accept this. i wish i could and i edge closer every time i hear a religious person spewing hatred based on a book that is supposed to be holy. Not including John Piper. (BLASPHEMY WARNING) Despite the hatred in the book he trusts so much he is incredibly (correct) and you can see he struggles to do so.

  • @MySpeedy777 It is not unusual to hear all kinds of people spewing hatred, and "religious" people are no different. The Bible is usually interpreted to support the person`s existing prejudices. People think they have more freewill than they actually do ,because they don`t take the trouble to understand what motivates them. I think the desire for peer approval has much to do with why some people decide to embrace religion. It certainly can`t be a cold look at the evidence in its favour.

  • @shotaboy100 People pay no attention to the bullshit shotaboy is saying. He is a self admitted troll and I can even prove it if necessary.

  • Black and whites are equal. It's a simple equation. Don't debate it or mind fuck the shit out of yourself contemplating it. If there is some God, he loves all his children.

  • Only religious people would actually have to address something as retarded as this.

  • @crsini520 No, atheists do it too, they just don't have the guts to talk about it in public.
