I had a chance to see this lineup at Tulane in 77 and didnt get there . I think this band was the most

virtuosic group of musicians ever in the jazz-rock fusion genre !

This is a great clip of Ponty! I even like the new "mellow" sound of this rendition. But darn I'm missing the guitars on the album cut! Steurmer and Holdsworth were serious highlights of the orginal album!

@ghostofzappa Why do people keep asking why their musical favorites have so few view hits.Fusion,such as JLP here,compared to most any genre was never really popular among the general populace.JLP is HIGHLY RATED among his fans.And thats all that matters.He will never have as many hits as say Lady Gaga.But she will NEVER EVER be in his musical league.
