The MOD,s were nice(realy improved the graphics) and ,hay! The Destroyer from hell is still around. (guess thats why you didn't save that last torpedo for him) I play Silent Hunter II. You also seem to get alot more depth of water than I (only 16m@ low tide). "Goot luck und,goot hunting".

I love this game, admittedly it took some mods to make it better for me, but SH3 was AMAZING, and this game modded finally got me feeling the same as I felt about 3. Great videos you've made, been sitting here watching, nothing like sneaking into a port and just devastating everything that moves ;D

Great video, but not quite historically accurate. Prien and U-47 got away scot free, but were later sunk by the destroyer, HMS Wolverine. Also, the Type VIIB had no external stern tubes. The only U-boat type to have an external torpedo tube was the Type VIIA. Otherwise, I really did enjoy the video. Wonderful editing.

Nice job on the video, I'm not sure if you're trying to be historically accurate or not, if you're not, then ignore this, if you are, here's what you messed up.

-The Royal Oak was the the British battleship that was sunk in Scapa Flow

-It was sunk in the early morning or late at night (not sure which)

-No other ships were sunk before or after the Royal Oak during the attack

-U-47 made a clean getaway and wasn't detected

-The Royal Oak lies bottom up (but I know that you couldn't help that)

First is, the Royal Oak was attacked late at night and U-47 didn't dive over the whole operation in Scapa Flow, otherwise they couldn't leave Scapa Flow because of the Tides. Prien had to go Ahead Flank and supported the Diesel Engines with his electic Engines. And U-47 was a VIIb afaik.

@WilhelmAUT Prien was the whole time surface, he launched 4 Torpedoes from the Front, 3 to the old CV Pegasus and one to the Royal Oak. The last Torpedo hits the Royal Oak, so Prien turned the Boat to launche the back torpedo. At 1.24h he launched Tube 1,2 and 4 again and they hitted the Royal Oak. Tube 3 had a "Rohrkrepierer" don't know the translation, but the Torpedo didn't came out of the Tube.

great video, however im not sure what events its talking about? the ship that was sunk at Scapa Flow was the 'Royal Oak' and it was sunk by 'U-47' which was able to escape unnoticed.

Excellent movie but:1 - It was Gunther Priens U-47 on Scapa Flow . 2- He sunk Royal Oak 3- U-boot did not get sink, not even damadged.4- Attack happened at night.

Gunther Prien got Knights Cross with a Swords for that attack unfortunetaly he got sunk in 1941.

I think the effect the developers need to work on is water effect when the torpedo impacts. That and the concussive effect on the ship from the torpedo. And those explosions look more like symbols representing explosions, not an accurate simulation of effects from explosions.

1. It was the Royal Oak sunk at scapa flow, not the Vailant.

2. The attack took place at night I believe.

3. The Royal oak was the only ship sunk in the attack.

best SH5 video i've seen so far.

some bugs that bug me: damaged ships dont eventually sink, destroyers ram you and dont do any damage, depth charges hardly do any damage, the way ships sink is almost always the same, ships dont capsize or break apart, even with 100% realism you can see the enemy ship on the minimap if you hold the cursor over it (i wouldnt know the ship's speed if it didnt though). I really hope they fix these. I'm off searching for that carrier cause it almost march.
