  • you failed

  • Great video!

  • Obviously if she has 2 gay kids then she is doing something wrong... Perhaps she should try adoption

  • Your mom is wonderful for accepting ya'll for who ya'll are!!! I am almost 43 and when I told my mom when I was about 19 that I was gay, she told me she already knew and she loved me anyway. I am fortunate to have an accepting family. I have commented on here before , BUT I like to look at the comments on here from time to time and be reminded of how many ignorant people we still have in our society.

  • I don't mean to sound homophobic but...

I would suck to have both of your kids to be gay.

I'm sorry to say that :(

  • This woman is wise. She not only accepts her childrens sexuality, but she understands sexuality better than most. "One never knows, does one?" She has it right. The idea of 'orientation' is not helpful. Not for people trying to figure out what type of relationship they want with someone else, or for anyone trying to understand people who act differently from yourself. Sexuality has been turned into a performance. People ACT how they want to see themselves and lose time just living.

  • Two gay kids? Failure? I would say yes

  • love her!

  • She is FABULOUS!

  • NEVER saw somebody with two gay children before. Thats awesome! She must have a fabulous house.

  • God bless you Miss Lola! <3

  • your mother is beautiful. she looks so glamorous in the older shots. italian?

  • I'm a gay & have a strong faith in God, I don't subscribe to religious doctorine because 99% of it is a misinterpretation by man. Christ never condemned gays & the word homosexual never appeared in a bible until some of the later translations. Fundamentalist always pick & choose from text that were written long ago & they always leave out the verses that condemn themselves. Sodom wasn't destroyed for homosexuality, it was for greed & all the other 7 deadly sins. God doesn't make mistakes!

  • you don't failed at motherhood, forget this so many gay childrens so many boys and girls gays, lesbians, straights or bisexuals would like to have a mother like you. in this world there's so many bad mothers who deny their childs, so many parents who beat their kids only because they are differant. Miss lolarose, i have so much respect for you but not only for you for all the parents who understood that homosexuality is not and neer have been a sin. god loves mothers like you, lord bless you

  • Congratulations you are a wonderful woman, wife and mother. God give you so beautiful childrens if they are gays it's not a Drama, Homosexuality is not a sin, the reigion says homosexuality is a sin but it's totally false. if your childrens are happy it's the most important thing! i'm gay and my mother loves me from the bottom of her heart. i had something to tell you you are a such beautiful woman you looks like Liz taylor.

  • Homosexuality is as natural as one's hair color. I wish dumb bitches of the world would realize that sexuality is a trait not a behavior. Not a choice or preference but an orientation. How hard is that to comprehend? Damn. Good video.

  • BRAVA!!!

  • I applaud you.

  • Thank you for uniting people. Your message is wonderful. Blessings.

  • Way to go mom!

  • I locked my kids in a closet for many many years!

  • God bless you! there needs to be more supportive parents in this world

  • you are a wonderful mother and i hope you will be a role model for other mothers

  • I have heard and seen supportive parents as my dad is incredibly supportive of me, but, wow. This takes support to a whole new level she is willing to publicly admit it and most supportive parents won't go quite that far. Not only that but she explains the process it took her to finally come to terms with the fact that her sons were gay and that takes some serious courage to do. Especially to one of your sons.

  • I loved this video! I am not gay, nor are my children (that we know of yet, as they are 9 and 5). But I hope that when they discover who they are, the world will be a much more tolerant place, because I plan to be a loving and supportive mother no matter who my children love!!

  • I know it took you a long time to come around to this reality, but your outlook is now so beautiful. When you said: "am I going to love them? Of course I'm going to love them," that made me cry!

  • I Find this hard to masturbate to...

  • im sure your proud your children are fags and dikes!! good job mom.

  • @normalguyable at least she can spell

  • @normalguyable You're an absolute moron, she raised her children well and loves them for who they are, that's how a parent should be.

  • YOur gay.

  • Happy Mother's day!!!

  • Thank you! There are two gay children in my family. My parents have come around a lot, but they could have used this a few years ago.

  • I love to revisit this video. You are a beautiful person. Thank you.

  • Keep tellin it Miss Lola, we need clear honest and powerful voices like yours. Our day will come and we will prevail in our fight for equality. Lovin you beauty.

  • Amazing Miss Lola. Thank you.

  • you're fantastic and so *real*. i love you. ;-)

  • If I had straight children I wouldn't be able to understand them, but I would support them and love them as they are. It's just that I myself am gay and straight things, all straight things seem strange and even mysterious to me.I don't understand their relationships just as they don't get mine. But unlike most straight people, who are shocked or try to change the kid,I wouldn't do that,I wouldn't try to turn my kid into something their not.Look beyond sexuality and you will find there a person

  • If I had straight children I wouldn't be able to understand them, but I would support them and love them as they are. It's just that I myself am gay and straight things, all straight things seem strange and even mysterious to me.I don't understand their relationships just as they don't get mine. But unlike most straight people, who are shocked or try to change the kid,I wouldn't do that,I wouldn't try to turn my kid into something their not.Look beyond sexuality and you will find there a human being!

  • You know Jill, I´m watching this video of your mom again and again, well over a period of 3 years now. She reminds me of Fran Drescher by her looks by the way. But I´m watching it, as it feels like she was talking to me. Like she was being personal. She´s so smart and genuine. It impresses me again and again. And it helps me understanding what my mom might have been thinking back then... Great video and great family. Thanks for sharing. André :-)

  • i hope i dont have gay kids. i know i sound sexist and ignorant. the thing is i dont hate/dislike gays but i just want my children to be straight.

  • @killerbiller35 why is this?

  • I LOVE mothers like you!! People like you are MY hero's!! My mom told me that she knew I was gay WAY before I told her- and this was back in the late 1980's early 1990's. I am SO GLAD that my parents accepted me as well as GOD!! YOU ARE WONDERFUL and YOUR KIDS ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE YOU AS THEIR MOTHER.

  • Great video!...What on earth did YT find offensive about this mom talking honestly about her feelings?

  • You have no idea how I love you!

  • Thank you so much for this vid. I am also one of 2 gay kids and my mom had major difficulties handling that in our early adulthood. She used to think it was some kind of warped punishment from God. That is, until my fabulous brother convinced her we were happy since "gay" IS the operative word. Lol. Now she's down to her little laments about how my partner and I are not sure we want kids, and that my brother is single. She has yet to come out as the mom of gay kids, but I'm sure we'll get there.

  • Brilliant video, thank you.

  • This woman speaks not only the truth, but gives us wisdom from her experience. I know because I'm at least as old as she is and I grew up gay in the 50's and 60's and I know firsthand what society's perception of "queers" (as we were referred to) was. This woman is an authentic and courageous "Mother." God Bless all of her days.

  • My daughter just came out as a bisexual. Let me honestly say, I was shocked, bewildered and hurt. I mourn the loss of the child I thought I had and the future I saw for her as a straight married with children kind of woman. DOn't get me wrong, I love my daughter the same now...actually even more if that's possible because I know in my heart she will need my support more than ever and one thing I'm sure of is that I will never turn my back on her no matter what but it is difficult to process.

  • I can't get enough of watching this. You're Mum is SO logical, intelligent, beautiful, sophisticated and cool. She is a real breath of fresh air! btw you're pretty stunning too (and your brother is hot! lol). What a great family.

  • thank you... so much.

  • Bravo! Thank you for posting this! I am proud of you for speaking out!

  • May I ask why You are such a beautiful person? I am a mom to 3 teens. One gay daughter. It's a hard time now. I think it will get better. I just watched a video on you on tom cruz. You are pretty great! Glad I found this channel today

  • you are truly a beautiful person and i wish more people in this world had half as much love in their hearts as you do. :)

  • You're fantastic. I got all choked up listening to that and I'm not even gay. Keep up the good work and the honesty!

  • I think your a fantastic mother who had a hard time dealing with a very hard choice for you to make and I think you made many mistakes but you turned out acepting your kids and doing this video took tremendouse courage congrata I am a bisexual girl to so I can understand how hard it wa on your kids and on you

  • this was a very lovely video and a great discussion on this topic. I wanted to say thank you for making it exist =D

  • I loved revisiting this! we need more parents speak out like you. If your a parent & watching this, please consider making a video like this. strength in numbers!

    1 LIFE

  • One has to have a Jewish background to know what 'mench' means. It is a compliment. It also means a good person, doing a good deed. She said Yenta, very Jewish.

  • You are a wonderful mench (means a very good person). Thank you, thank you.

  • What a mench! Thank you, and thank you again. If you get any satisfaction from knowing how much you have helped so many, then your "satisfaction cup" must flowing over. Mench means a very good person.

  • What a mench! Thank you, and thank you again. If you get any satisfaction from knowing how much you have helped so many, then your "satisfaction cup" must flowing over.

  • We need more people to make videos like this

  • Hello Miss Lola Rose, I showed my Mother your video and I think it helped her very much. She could relate to you! I hope your feeling better sweetheart! Your children are all charming adults. Get better a.s.a.p we all LOVE you! xoxoxo tommy :)

  • @StaunchComic Your a homo mr.piglet,no wonder you hate christians and all you do is write profanati towards christians all over youtube, this clears alot mr.piglet.

  • @exposu767 Are you 12?

  • God, your son is gorgeous... I sound creepy now. I'll go away. xx

  • Lola you are so beautiful, so cool, so sophisticated, so smart, so stylish and so eloquent. You have extremely beautiful children too. Thank GOD for Lola! :)

  • You beautiful, beautiful, beautiful lady. Absolute common sense.

    And such gorgeous kids!!

  • thank you miss lola. i heart. are you adopting?

  • Thank you so much for posting this extremely encouraging video.

  • Thank you so much for this video, ma'am! Right now my mom's having to deal with me coming out. What she doesn't know is that my twin brother is also gay. When she finds out, she may feel like it's more than just coincidence and that she's failed--having this video gives me at least a token of something saying she hasn't failed.

  • @Islander255 ♥Your mother will understand its your choice not hers. She was fine with you when she didnt know, how do you know she wont be fine when she does know. Just tell her i know that she will understand l;) And im proud of you for wanting to come out of the closet ^^♥

  • The people who say that you failed at motherhood are idiots. Don't listen to them. They don't deserve the attention.

  • She did FAIL for having 2 fags

  • @XendmustB2 You failed when you made this comment. Piss off, douche bag.

  • its ok for the girl, but the guy he is getting smashed to the floor like a butt fucker he is

  • @seglermichael So, wait, it's ok for two girls to be gay, but it's not for two guys? That "sounds" hypocritical.

  • @seglermichael

says you takes cock up the ass !!

  • I think if we all stopped talking about it like its something that deservs a medal, it wouldnt be such a big deal...

  • My earlier comment wasn't derogatory. I guess your prejudices aren't all gone, eh?

  • Failed at motherhood? You only fail at motherhood if you don't accept them for who they are.

  • Thumbs up !

  • 0:55 - Peopl thankfully dont think like that in my neck of the woods anymore. Many parents like having gay children and some even sad they never had a gay kid. As a gay kid (well 25 now!) I was constantly surprised and reliefed as I came out. But I know I was very lucky.

This is a fantastically honest conversation.

  • YOU GOT DUN DOUBLEGAY GOOFD

  • i wish i could tell my mom i am :-[

  • @shadow2spare faggot

  • @shadow2spare How old are you? Because if you're an adult it's gonna have to come out sooner or later.

  • @shadow2spare i wish i can tell my mom too :(

  • Being a "good person" isn't enough. Anyone can be "good" according to their own standards. So what standard are we to live by?

  • Wow! this made me tear up a bit

  • Your Mom Rocks!

  • My Goodness, what a terrific looking family!

You really rocked those polka-dot bikinis!

    <3

  • She's wonderful and has beautiful children.

  • HA!!HA!!HA!!Your 2 kids butt-fuck each other!!!FUCKING CLASSIC!!

  • @conormcdmufc96 Fuck you, you idiot. Where does it say that? Do you fuck your sister, just because you're both straight? If you'd listened, you'd know that one of her kids is a girl, anyway. It's not two boys.

  • I don't normally say this kind of thing on youtube comments, but power to the lot of you. If only every homosexual child on the planet had parents as accepting and open about it as you, there'd be a darn sight less depression in gay youngsters. This video gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

PS - very handsome family you've got there. Congrats.

  • Parents don't understand that the hardest part about being gay is the parent acceptance. I'm a lesbian and I'm happy with who I am and I've learned that if someone doesn't want to be my friend or talk to me because I like girls, that's their loss, not mine. The only hard part is my mom, she made it harder than it had to be. If you love who you are, that's all that matters. I'm really glad you came to terms with your gay kids :)

  • @Jessilyn71

fags for kids = epic FAIL!!!!

  • Nice video! Thanks! ;)

  • it was nice to hear this video...

  • This woman has more talent in conveying information than half of the crumb bums on television. The only thing missing here.... is a network contract.

  • One of my closest relatives was gay (not sure who he was out to,and he's not around to defend himself, so I won't out him), and he was always himself-- a great guy who was always here for hs family. Isn't that what always absolutely matters?

    Stay sweet! :)

    Henrik

  • This mother is one of the most amazing persons that i could ever have had the chanve to converse with. She not only changed the way i felt about myself, but she also helped me come out to my parents and become a stronger more well rounded family with my friends, siblings, and even to strangers that i meet. Miss Lola is now and forever in my family's thoughts, prayers, and dreams! P<3ce & L<3ve

  • More please!

  • Miss Lola Rose and Jill, this is so great, I needed to see this to refer others especially an 18 I am talking to living in the bible belt and so worried about

the parents and how they can be O.K. with this. Kids have enough pressure! Acceptance would be so deserved already! Thank you for doing this, BRAVO!

I'm straight and PROGAY RIGHTS, PROHUMANRIGHTS,PROCHILDRIGHTS! PROGAY MARRIAGE, PROLOVE really I think says it all but, I had to be specific!!

  • You are my inspiration Miss Lola. When are you coming to TV? <3

  • My family is so supportive to my son and many others out there. Thanks for being one of those wonderful moms as well. You are very inspirational to many out there. god bless and keep up the great job.

  • My son came out at the age 14 and he is now 21 years old but My family has excepted him as well as excepted gay in general because I always was very bold with my family about my son being gay and that they dont have to like it but they will respect him as a person and not label him to be the Gay boy in the family because he is Richie not The gay boy.

  • I am a proud mom of a Gay son, I have to shame and I don't worry about what people think. My family was a closed family to the Gay world and we weren't raised around Gay people or rather say we never noticed it as its so noticeable now, because everyone is open about it more today.

  • Your mom was right about that "me me me". I had it with my mom too. She always feels guilty when sth difficult happens in my life. Soemtimes she even feels bader than me. But we have an agreement. She´ll be my mom and me the child. No matter how old I am. And either, I can´t find myself in "Queer as folk"..... so no wonder your mom can´t find her kids there or in "L word"... :-) André

  • Back again. Dream: meeting this woman, and Jill.

  • Woah, hes hot.

  • You speak very true! My own Mother has spoken the same. Wise!!!

  • I think u r verry lucky. and ur son is sssmoken ;) peace out

  • I am the mom of a gay child and I know exactly where you are coming from. I just discovered your vlogs today and I am fascinated and quite impressed. You are a very honest and extremely funny lady. Funny inthat you tell it ike it is. Thank you, you made my day today!!

  • Your my favorite person

  • I LOVE YOU MISS LOLA!!!

  • just 1 thing keep them away from away wene they alone

  • Your a great mom, filled with understanding acceptance and compassion.

  • Parents, listen to your kids lol!!! Me and my identical twin brother told our mom (after discussing it very seriously with one another at 7 years old!) that we preferred men. She brushed it off as, you kids are just very caring and love everyone... We knew better lol I just think its so interesting how clear the inclinations were. There was no "confusion" in my mind... or my brothers. We always knew really. I think the homophobic environment does most the brainwashing and confusion

  • Me and my identical twin brother told my mom we liked men at like 6 years old, lol after talking to one another very seriously about it, we thought it was important that she knew. But she brushed it off as, your just very caring kids who love everyone... Its funny, cause the kids arent to confused about it often times, the parents are. My parents except it 100% now... but its probably easier for them having twins, kinda clicks in their minds, its genetic doh

  • Amen to that. I wish my mom understands as much as you do.

  • ill have to show this to my mum! me and my two brothers are gay haha

  • at 2:26 are those a boy and a girl? i'm sorry but one of them has long hair and it's kinda hard to tell.

  • hey! you rock! check out our channel!

  • :-) i think as gay children you can sometimes forget that your parents have to 'come out' too and face all the prejudice. well put video and a true expression of love

  • I can only imagine what my mother was thinking about when she found out I was gay. I will show this tomy mother

  • Its not about you, its just sexuality how do you people get so worked up over racism, religion, sexuality its rediculous

  • i love your honesty...i will forward this to my mom...xo vixen...ps hope youll add/subscribe to us

  • Thanks for uploading this. I think it's really cool and inspiring that Mom has accepted her two children for who they are.

I can appreciate that you can probably be the most liberal, open minded person in the world but when it's your own loved one who is gay it can be a completely different matter, as I suppose you may worry about their struggles, how sure they are, discrimination for them, how others will react, etc.

But kudos to Mom for speaking out and be a loving mother.

  • thats why they should let you beat the shit outta your kid if you see him lick his lips over the word cock ...

  • Great Video- thanks so much! I am forwarding to my mom and also to my girlfriends mom who is ashamed to let anyone know she has a gay kid.

You're right - get over it- it's not about you.

  • i'm almost 13 yrs old and the first time i liked a girl was when i was 6 yrs old(first grade) and when my bro came 2 my parents when he was 20, he's 23 now, they didnt talk 2 him for about 1 month and then i thought, "Is this gonna b they're response when i come out 2 them? Is this how they're gonna treat me, like i'm an alien or sumthing? and my dad, he loves me with all of his heart cuz i'm his little girl, is he gonna reject me like he did 2 my bro?"

  • Hopefully, after the experience your parents had with your brother, they will learn how to better handle it when you come out to them.

  • Outstanding video with an excellent spokesperson. Brava Miss Lola.

  • Im a 11 year old gay boy. It could be really hard sometimes when your a kid =/. Dont know if its any easier when your a adult

  • It is easier when you can move away from your home town and probably your parents as well.

  • great video cheers from australia , i also have a gay brother, as i am gay as well . take care.

  • I love you so much right now!

  • i wish my mom understood english so that i could show her this video.

sometimes it seems she's quite selfish and she doesn't really care what makes me happy, but i know she does

  • gross

  • your grose . dickhead.

  • I really like this video. My mother is like you, she had to change a lot about what she use to think, but she is my number one suporter. I couldn't imagine having no support from my family, it would be awfull. I love that this video was made, I hope other moms watch and hopefully learn from it.

  • r the two gay children twins becase stats show that 70% of the time if one twin is gay other one will be too.

  • Great! Thanks and thumbs up Jill!

  • ok well gays are fucked up so you should have done something aboute it while you had the chance cause now youve raised a bunch of fags damded to hell. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. suckes to be you .

p.s. it aint to late lady. and to all you other gays stay away cause you creep me out.

    Sincerly<fuck you fags!!!!!

and why da fuck did you dress them in dresses you ugly whore. and they prob banged each other inside you.

  • haha well said

  • Please be civil, for crying out loud.

  • You are a beautiful soul. I bet your kids are wonderful gentle, accepting, caring people. I wish all moms were as wise and compassionate as you. Keep up the good work! The world sure needs voices like yours.

  • I hate gays.

  • I may be Bisexual or gay But what have I done? The kids at my school, All they do is make fun. I may be Bisexual or gay What should I do? Why should't I be me? Why should I be like you? I may be Bisexual or gay But I am just me And I'm not gonna change Not for you, Not for anyone.
  • i would thumbs up you if i could. i'm bi too, but why should you be grouped? who cares? If you went to my school, i would be your friend! my friends kinda dislike me for hanging out what they would call 'wierd' people, but i do anyway! ^_^

    "All men are created equal"

"love your neighbor" *glomps you* lol (thats the constitution and bible xD)(if ya don't believe in god, i understand. i believe in him, but not some of his 'ideals' for human kind ^_-) random, aren't i? xD

  • I like how you said you believe in god, but not some of HIS ideals for human kind. That shows you believe god may make mistakes that we can correct, and that's a good way to be.

  • here is a poem i writen I may be Bisexual or gay But what have I done? The kids at my school, All they do is make fun. I may be Bisexual or gay What should I do? Why should't I be me? Why should I be like you? I may be Bisexual or gay But I am just me And I'm not gonna change Not for you, Not for anyone.
  • theres nothing wrong with gay people. were all the same

  • i hate gay people

  • why are you watching this video?

  • I love this video...

  • stupid gays!

  • do not hate.

  • SHUT UP!!! WE ARE HERE GET USED TO IT!!!

  • Damn right....We're here!!!

There always be haters but as long I pay my own bill I really don't give a flying fuck about haters!! screw'em!

  • You are awesome!

  • im sorry! im not gay... lesbian whatever! but your a bad mother for keeping your children in the closet and making them miserable!

  • Mom wanted me to tell you that she agrees with you, she is very sorry, and that she has spent many years trying to make it up to us. People make mistakes in this case out of ignorance and I believe the video here is an important step toward garnering forgiveness.

  • Sorry for the triple-post, I didn't realize that comments pended approval. I posted my comment the first time on my iPhone, and it just went back to the comment screen without telling me anything, so I assumed it wasn't posted.

  • Haha, I remember when I was 6, I loved hugging guys more than girls, which only proves it's genetic. Now, at 14, I have a boyfriend who loves and cares for me very much, and a loving and accepting mother who is the world to me. I think, to some extent, that every human is bisexual. Homophobic people are only trying to run away from their homosexual side. Thank you for this great video. The world needs more people like you, rather than people who do nothing other than spread hate.

  • please speak for yourself

  • asshole leavem alone

  • "Considered by most people, someone who has failed at motherhood" ? - your an idiot.
