if its desktop software related and you want a quick and easy workaround just boot the PC with a live disk like Ubuntu Linux. This will allow you to surf without the software limiting you.

Theres 100000 ways to do this, this is the easiest/fastest imo

as to the web filter, yes, this will often bypass them. As far as tracing history, not so much, theres other ways if someone has local access to the machine but from a webmaster standpoint, yes... hard to trace traffic from a proxy.

every time i try to change my ip/proxy number it wont connect to the internet so i can't change my ip address. i am connect to the internet with a wireless card in my desktop computer to a linksys router. what am i doing wrong?

Its a matter of finding a working proxy. Many go down within hours of being posted. You'll notice I had a working one set in the vid already. It took me 3 tries to find one. Keep trying, you'll get it.

why not? Im running a server off it, so to find the IP all it would take is a whois anyway. An IP is just an address, and just because you know where fort knox is doesnt mean you can walk into the vault. Besides, my IP refreshed last week. :)

That's what i'm talkin about. Stick it to the noobs. It's kinda sad when they think that once their IP is revealed, their internet surfing days are over and they'll be hacked up and down till their computer cries in extreme agony and blows up or something. Some people need some major experience before dealing with this stuff cause alot of them barely know what the hell they're talking about.
