It is clear to see you have a huge advantage over your teammate who should have used the motherships cloak on your first Thor force.

You should have built 5 Vikings instead of the extra 2 Thors.

thor's are pretty good against air, because their AA missles have splash damage for air. the problem was he had 2 thors against several VR's, not a good combo.

This guy is painful to watch. Your partner I mean. He had all that and gave THREE units to the entire fight. He's the worst player I've ever seen who actually knows how the game works and how to upgrade and get all the different units. It was over in part 3 when you noticed he went for 30 minutes and didn't make a single usable unit. Honestly, 5000 crystal and no units? Good lord... I hope he quits Starcraft entirely.

it kinda hurt your forces to aid a noob team mate  like you did. you should considering backstabbing the enemy, while his main forces was trashing your ally, once you realise his a noob, instead of sacrefising expensive thors to those void rays. and im supprised you did not build more anti-air, thinking that void rays spesiality is units like thors. i saw once that you had enough marines to fend the voids of, but then you pretty much had lost the game already.

vikings r a great counter 2 void rays cause they do bonus dmg and they can out range them so they can get a few extra volley's on them

HDstarcraft, quick tip if u r massing thors, u should use their ability to destroy all the sieg tanks in one go, even just with 2 thors using the ability... thors r used, with their ability, to destroy stationary troops or buildings

Thors are very easy to counter, just like Colossi. Having that many Thors with that few infantry will screw you 9 times out of 10. Not saying it did here, you did well while your ally failed.

Need a way to crack Terran players that late game, you can't assualt their entrance.

@turek9393 No. The big problem is VoidRays are THE protoss answer to massive units. Thors and Battlecruisers and the worst possible thing you can send after them. During this match you see about a dozen marines taking out a couple of VoidRays really quickly. After that the terran light blue player used his tanks and own marines to assist the void rays, and that's a pretty sweet combo. The game was over the minute I saw that blue protoss is even worst at Starcraft than I am.

I'm wondering what the primary use of Thors are, they aren't that effective vs. air and they usually get focused down pretty quickly, aside from assaulting a base I don't see much use for them. At best they could be used to compliment an army, but I don't think massing them is a feasible strategy.

I agree strongly with golly. Blizzard should definitely increase the air-damage of the thor's. Another great feature would be an ability to increase thor attack range. As of now, it seems that thor's are only truly effective against infantry units (which means that more than 6 thor's at a time is pointless)
