i don't really like most of octahedron, but i don't think it's because omar ran out of good material it's more that he just felt like writing an album that i don't really like. hopefully you and i will like the next one more

its actually gotten a LOT more likely recently, they've been saying now they "wouldnt mind it" and that all the old atdi members are talking and being pals again, so it wouldnt be surprising if they did reunite. there's a "new" atdi that occassionally plays some shows around california, but it sucks without cedric and omar, its basically the sparta guys. they didnt reunite they just SOMETIMES go down to like santa cruz and play some atdi songs.

Maybe it just suits me better, but I think Octahedron is an excellent high album because of how chill it is (except "Cotopaxi," obviously). Even the more energetic tracks, like "Luciforms" or "Teflon" have an ethereal feel in spots. De-Loused is a better album overall, but if I'm gonna smoke a fat bowl, I lean towards Octahedron. Frances and Amputechture are pretty damn good for that too though.

If I'm gonna smoke a fat bowl, Frances the Mute is the first album that comes to mind, especially with a 32minute song in "Cassandra Geminni." I was stoned the first time I listened to Bedlam in Goliath, and it was one of the best experiences I had listening to music. At the time, every song was gold, and each song was better than the last. I tried to repeating that with Octahedron, but I was left in a state of disappointment.
