  • Elena House Death Fast had this playing when she started the deed.

  • shit

  • evertime i listen to it i have to press play to listen to it again. i love it.

  • vrištaona

  • See, this goes to show that you don't need singing in order to make a great song.. I personally know many asswipes who believe that instumental songs are "boring" or "dull". The only way for them to enjoy music if there is "singing" involved.

    Oh well, their loss..

Many of the greatest musicians/bands (you could also add Classical musicians as well) of all-time have played an instrumental song at least once or twice in their careers.

  • Bad continuity between the vid and the song.

  • they look funny

  • Ésto sí es hacer música, jugar y experimentar con ella... no mamadas...

  • now thats talent....... you can show the new age bums the way to the door!

  • awsome. audio slightly lags behind the video tho. grew up with this stuff.

  • genialidad

  • The late Dan Hartman on bass, I think he died of The AIDS!!

  • What I would give to be able to go back to the early 70s for a week. Where is Doc Brown's time machine!?!!

  • that was a bad trip...

  • Holy shit

  • I love these guys though i really want to know why they are a bit girly?

  • @Joninkin It was the 70's. You had to be there.

  • godzilla vs frankenstin i don't no the you spell it go go godizilla

  • I heard this on the radio today. And I grew up listening to these great LONG songs of the 70s. It made me smile to think that the radio stations played songs this long back then! Super!

  • Vid's outta synch with the sound. :(

  • must say that the first 5 seconds are the best...

  • Watch his right hand at 5:45, while is playing piano. Something spectacular!

  • And back then, you could pay between $5-10 and see these guys in your town. Now it's $20 cover in some amphitheater for some performer that doesn't even know 9:17 worth of music.

  • Who's the drummer?

  • @IamUncledeuce Chuck Ruff.

  • @N64AndBattleTanx

    Thanks

  • If anyone plays Rock Band 3 this song and Free Ride are coming to the game. Im ready to rock!

  • from 5 minutes to around 7:50 is transcendental.

  • The part around 1 - 2 minutes sounds like the theme to Streets of San Francisco or one of those early 70s cop shows where they shot each other around the piers, and wore sideburns and sports jackets.

  • Thanks for the post joneps. This along with Hocus Pocus by Focus, Pink Floyd's Interstellar Overdrive and Echoes, and the classical guitar piece by Roy Wood on ELO's first album are my favourite rock instrumentals. It's incredible how great a musicians and rock orchestrator Edgar Winter was.

  • fuck the only were missing is the light show

  • god saw em in san berdoo in like71/72 frunk en steen

  • @chipbuhl I think your lying. Because you spell like a 7 year old.

  • lol

  • Hands up if you're here cos your reading Paul Brannigans biography on Dave Grohl....

  • Wow the audio is at least 2 seconds off from the footage. Fail.

  • I play guitar in our schools Jazz Band, and were playing this in our Spring Concert. Super pumped to play it.

  • isn't the audio a little off sync

  • this is an awesome band and tune my fav!

  • I like this version best

  • wow. my dad really WAS lucky to have this kind of music. unlike this generation crap.

  • @BobertCata lol

  • @BobertCata true

  • @BobertCata Same here):. I envy my parents and aunts and uncles.they Lived through the 60's and 70's as adults and teenagers:/ (sighs)

  • @BobertCata which is why I listen to modern metal; it's the closest thing to this kind of music. There are some modern bands out there worth listening to.

  • mt bom

  • Jesus. Fucking. Mary. Wow.

  • @MaLLinz289 Haha Incest anyone? Seriously though I agree, that was...PHENOMINAL!!

  • That drummer looks alot like Bassist Dave LaRue from his video lessons in the late 90s! ha

  • Music used to be cool back in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's then 200's came, wish the gold age for music make a return

  • That Cymbal solo needs more COWBELL!!!!

  • I love this track, but I keep expecting him to say "NOW THEN NOW THEN GUYS AND GALS" half way through

  • I just recently bought a CD compilation named "Pure... Psychedelic Rock" from Sony BMG, This song is in Disk 3 Track 1 but it is only 3:28 seconds long but this is 9:17 sec long(I LOVE THIS VERSION!!). I would definitely buy his album where it has the 9:17 version. from what album is this?

  • Just saw him live at the Mark and Brian xmas show!

  • It's just... BADASS.

  • fingertapping a keytar awesome!!

  • RAD!

  • He would be okay if he weren't a Scientologist. That just makes him funny.

  • I grew up in this era and if you think about how raw and simple a lot of the music was at that time its clear to see that Edgar was def a very accomplished musician for his time.Def. a true pioneer not only for his style of music but also how he used a lot of various instruments into this song.

  • It's been so long I listened to this song. I almost forgot how awesome it is :)

  • Out of boredom I decided to Google my last name, which happens to be 'Winter', and came across this. Mind = blown

  • This is Music!

  • this shit is not synched

  • the drummer looks like he has an orgasm every five mins.

  • @Killhouse70 hahahha shit wouldnt u dude when u feel the emotion of all the music

  • 1:40 lol

  • Yeah BABY, High School and the Prom

  • watch overkill's cover of frankenstein. A lot heavier, but as much as a masterpiece as this nevertheless.

  • yeah it's not even close

  • I wished the video matched the audio.

  • @ guitar191 what about Lady Gaga?

  • @JDish420 Good point, Lady Gaga actually looks kind of like Edgar Winter. He would totally still have a chance now!

  • Nope, this was not techno from the past, this is Rock and if you want to add progressive before it.. so be it.

  • The thing wrong about music today is that they probably would never give someone like Edgar winter a chance just cuz he doesn't look like performer, by their standards. But, he is an artist and performer in every sense of the word

  • 7:07

    clown horn?

    lul.

  • techno of the past

  • absolutely great @ruffbear sorry for your loss

  • Una gran canción, excelente video.

  • 4:27 seems that the drummer is getting orgasm :D

  • Fucking awesome

  • the sax solo started before he had the mouthpiece in his mouth.

  • must be very hard to do a solo on sax while that heavy synth is hanging down your neck and you are trying to stay cool on platform shoes ! that is dedication at its purest

  • happy halloween!! :)

  • That's one fucking cool albino.

  • It's Halloween so I had to listen to some Frankenstein... awesome..

  • I bow to you guys !!

  • I always wondered what all the instruments were in this and who played them

  • Awesome performance, but the video and audio are WAY out of sync. It's really obvious during the percussion "duel".

  • the riff sounds alot like moby dick

  • @kevininthahouze I always thought it sounded more like ZZ Top's "Cheap Sunglasses"

  • This was a compilation of stuff that Edgar had recorded, all patched together. That's why it's FRANKENSTEIN!!!

  • LEGENDARY SONG!

  • what year???

  • those guys are so fast the video cant even sync with their awesomeness

  • That was too short.... IT MUST BE LONGER!!!!

  • He was an inspiring drummer RIP

  • Chuck was a GREAT drummer. He will be missed.

  • These guys were tripping so hard

  • Let's all conclude that Edgar White knows how to play every instrument known to man-kind. Thank you... :)))
