  • Nah

  • i love this song, :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • ...

  • Love it! I've been listening to this over and over just lately.

    What a voice Karen has.

  • I actually like this version, which is off the box set better than the album cut they did off their first album.

  • After leaving a dozen other Carpenters comments, I have run out of superlatives for these performances. The quality of this number is self-evident in its simplicity and organic quality. SUPERB work, as always.

  • I do like this version quite a bit... Karen's voice is rich and pure... even at the young age of 20.

  • can anyone tell me who else sings this song. i heard this song but it wasnt song by these ppl

  • YoungBloods-Get together

  • yep thats it. thank u

  • I like this alternative version of this Chet Powers song with Karen on lead, previously I had only heard the version with Richard on lead.

  • Thanks for a nice photo montage. The photos taken by Annie Leibovitz for the "Rolling Stone" cover of July 4,1976, where Karen is clowning with her floppy hat, some of which are featured here, are the cutist ones of her I've ever seen. I wish I'd get the chance to see all of them....

  • Interesting information!!

    That memory!!!

    Thank you!!

  • @no1cfielder

    I think this was 1974

  • this would be a great mash up with the other carpenter song sing!

  • When was this recorded? I've only heard the other version with Richard's lead vocals. Love them both!

  • Thank you!!! It makes me happy that you have liked them, this Karen's version I believe i think that it is in his beginning in 1966 more o less, i find this song in the disc TEC1965-1997. that the version Richard's this in Ticket to Ride.

    Both are sooo good.

  • Actually, this is from the then-syndicated radio show, "Your Navy Presents" from 1970.

It says so in that huge booklet. :)

  • It doesn't matter what Karen sings, whatever song I'm listening to right now is my favorite. Another great example of a song that makes you want to close your eyes and just bask in it. I say want, because I'm not about to close my eyes and miss the awesome slide show you've put together featuring Richard and Karen Carpenter.

  • Thank you very much :)

  • Beautiful!

  • Thanks!!
