I do not know if she got vocal training but girl is gifted on her technique, along with Melonie Daniels. Her chest voice is extremely high she mixes sometimes, but both her chest and mix voice high like Lashun Pace and sometimes it hard to say if there mixing or full chest. 6:50 is full chest definitely. Are you talking about the forward toned voice which can sound like falsetto or head voice (but it's really full voice) that the opera sopranos who actually sing in full voice use? Either way, I'd also have you know there are people who can't sing in a key or sing to save their lives that have natural voices which sound like Crystal and some even more falsettoish than Crystal's (believe me!). And indeed, when it concerns Crystal, it is just her natural full voice, not some technique or trick.

Chrystal sings in chest voice like most contemporary gospel singers, but she has a light/creamy voice and what people sometimes mistake as falsetto is usually her upper-full-voice/passaggio tone. Actually her voice type is not rare.

Althought It is impossible for a woman to sing in "falsetto" but I do know what you mean. She is singing through her throat and Im sure she gets horse a lot. I think she is a good entertainer but when I think of singers I generally want them to sing from there diaphram.

Secondly, as a vocalist I can honestly rank Crystal Rucker up there with the Lecresia Campbell's, but not according to her vocal ability but anointing. It would not be authentic anointing if she sounded exactly like Lecresia, it would be a copy cat. It's like comparing the K.Clark runs to K. Burrell runs, you can't do it because they have a sound all their own. Let's move past comparing ourselves among ourselves to discerning for the purpose of true worship.
First, as a trained classical vocalist, I feel that it is necessary to get an understanding or definition of certain terms. Falsetto will never, nor has it ever been a term used to classify a specific area of a female voice, for too long people, mostly in gospel music have used this term incorrectly. Falsetto is a word used to identify a specific area of a male voice and a male voice only.
Too much falsetto. Not enough head voice. With training she will learn to use her head voice when hitting high notes. They will sound more clear like Lecresia Campbell's notes.
She is telling the truth about worshipping GOD. People are so caught up by her beautiful voice, that they miss they message.

Donny Hathaway is a great example of someone who can move you without doing one riff. These days, with all the runs going on, sometimes, I more impressed by someone who can sing the melody straight but still moves me. I believe that in the days of oversinging, riffs, runs, and embellishments, that it takes even more skill to stick to the melody. Half of the time, most younger singers don't even know what the real melody is because it's been embellished so much.
Again she is wonderful! And I think she is right about a lot of people being able to sing today (Now more than ever before). Everybody can run so it has to be more than that to get me. It has to be anointed or , in the case of secular music and singers, I have to get the feeling from them as opposed to how many vocal acrobatics they can do.
In her preachin, she was so right...we get caught up in what all of us sound like and not getting minstered to. And its ashame because you might miss out on an oppourtinuty of a blessing because you so caught up on how you and you friends sound when ya'll sing or whatever...and I am NOT condeming anyone because I struggle with the same issue...I'm glad Crystal made that issue clear during her ministering...and I respect that.

Girl, I enjoy you every time I hear you. I am so thankful that God has blessed those with the anoint of Christ.....There are a lot of folks that can sing, but if you don't have the anoint you are not touching though that need to be reach.

I've never heard her in person but I love watchn this video cuz I love her voice. Not just cause she can sing but you feel her spirit through her voice and you feel it strong and i just sit here speechless holdin my head..she reminds me of my sister (vocally anyway) I jus love hearing her minister and would love to hear her in person one day

Just so you know Krystal did have a stroke (two on one side) but she is healed! She came to my church (H.O.P.E.'s House Christian church int the Vallry) yesterday and toe (ghetto spelling of tore) it up! She gave her testimony and we were truly blessed! Thank God for healing!

Secondly, as a vocalist I can honestly rank Crystal Rucker up there with the Lecresia Campbell's, but not according to her vocal ability but anointing. It would not be authentic anointing if she sounded exactly like Lecresia, it would be a copy cat. It's like comparing the K.Clark runs to K. Burrell runs, you can't do it because they have a sound all their own. Let's move past comparing ourselves among ourselves to discerning for the purpose of true worship.

First, as a trained classical vocalist, I feel that it is necessary to get an understanding or definition of certain terms. Falsetto will never, nor has it ever been a term used to classify a specific area of a female voice, for too long people, mostly in gospel music have used this term incorrectly. Falsetto is a word used to identify a specific area of a male voice and a male voice only.

Too much falsetto. Not enough head voice. With training she will learn to use her head voice when hitting high notes. They will sound more clear like Lecresia Campbell's notes.
She is telling the truth about worshipping GOD. People are so caught up by her beautiful voice, that they miss they message.

I like what she said about people just listening to her and not trying to receive from the Lord. Thats one thing that I hate about musicals and concerts, no one really seems to be trying to receive from the Lord. They just try to hear what the singer is doing and listening for Jesus. I'm SOOOO happy she said that.

I do agree with a lot of people who say that the riffing and running is getting of control...
However, God has anointed you to with a gift for riffing and running, why not go with that???

Donny Hathaway is a great example of someone who can move you without doing one riff. These days, with all the runs going on, sometimes, I more impressed by someone who can sing the melody straight but still moves me. I believe that in the days of oversinging, riffs, runs, and embellishments, that it takes even more skill to stick to the melody. Half of the time, most younger singers don't even know what the real melody is because it's been embellished so much.

Again she is wonderful! And I think she is right about a lot of people being able to sing today (Now more than ever before). Everybody can run so it has to be more than that to get me. It has to be anointed or , in the case of secular music and singers, I have to get the feeling from them as opposed to how many vocal acrobatics they can do.

In her preachin, she was so right...we get caught up in what all of us sound like and not getting minstered to. And its ashame because you might miss out on an oppourtinuty of a blessing because you so caught up on how you and you friends sound when ya'll sing or whatever...and I am NOT condeming anyone because I struggle with the same issue...I'm glad Crystal made that issue clear during her ministering...and I respect that.
