i have richies test pipe n j pipe n catalytic converter, i personally thought that it made a huge difference in exhaust note, sounding more similar to infiniti's purring 04-06 g35 coupes

Hey I got a greddy evo 2 on my 04 Acura TL and Im wondering if i should put a jpipe on it. The main purpose is to make it louder cause the greddy evo alone isn't loud enough for me. rv6 makes a test pipe that comes with the jpipe package but there's another option for a race pipe, If i want to make my car louder would a jpipe with a race pipe be the way to go? and would that set my engine light on?

all the mods were worth the money, i went from having 220 to the wheels to having 260 its a big difference and my torque is at 250 compared to 230.. im tuned though had a custom SFC harness built for the TL and use an AFC neo

1/4 for the car is probably high 13's with a M/T (assuming a good driver). He probably gained 20-25 WHP with the mods shown.

Funny thing is, a turbo was just released for our cars and on 12 PSI it can run at least 500WHP on stock internals. Now a ZR1 goes for 505-515WHP and is priced twice as much. So we can win, now with forged pistons and a better tranny we can try 600WHP and beat most cars :D Anything more will be pointless because of FWD :/

you must be smoking something...you can not, CAN NOT, compare 500whp on an acura tl to a corvette, something that weighs much less. By the time that turbo spools up, the tourque that vette makes will leave you in a hurry, not to mention that it can actually get all 500 of those ponies to the ground...people are dumb, straight silly these days.

True, but a 25k sedan vs a 100k sports car. You can't compare, but the prices you can. You can buy a CTS-V for 60k brand new and it has the same ZR1 engine s/c 550hp. 100k sports car for only 520 WHP is terrible in my opinion. You're paying what 2k per HP? I'd rather buy a M3 and twin turbo the V8 and get 600+WHP. It is just an idea, like those 7 second civics. Most people don't have 100k to spend on just a stock car :( Not dumb

The beauty of a ZR1 is its all around ability, whether on a road course or a strip. Not saying Id pay that much for a vette, I can name many cars Id probably buy before that. Personally, I would never buy a CTS-V over a ZR1. The vette is a pure performance car. In any way, sure u can build a honda that could hurt on all of those for much less, but thats a strip car. Driving a honda that fast is not fun, believe me. I want a TL Type-S myself, tho an m3 would be nice;) sry bout the comment, i kid!

haha its cool :) true, I mean for the best bang for the buck for HP, the CTS-v isn't too shabby. Funny thing is, the Type-S beat the IS350, G35, and 350z on the track in Japan with the same driver (very good one in Japan), found it somewhere
