  • Mind=blown

  • You shouldnt do this in the house did you not hear about that 12 uyr old boy screename MICROWAVERZ, He burned down his apartment and his mother died in the fire because of microwaving shit inside the house! ATleast the Real microwave show, with Riley , Jon and Jory do it safely

  • it has to do with the fact that Fire is an intermediate form of matter, Flame that you see is Partially plasma, the Microwave is just taking the most excited matter ( the hot air from the flame) and exciting it further. Correct me if I'm wrong

  • Fowarding CassetteMaster, this is a win!

  • whoa!!!

  • it sounded like an alien was in there

  • Win! You made a microwave-powered light bulb! But microwaves can be very dangerous, so never be exposed to them!

  • wat da fuck???

  • that was interesting I was just think about that very thing today....fire in a microwave

    thanks for the demo

  • wow

  • haha

if you could make a bigger one, and walk through it, i'm sure you would hear "you are now entering the twilight zone" like on the tv show

  • It kinda sounded like it was trying to open a portal to err umm... somewhere Half-Lifeesk?

  • that's exactly what I was thinking! lol!!

  • OH NO NOT A HEAD CRA...urag urragghe aHAHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH...............

    reaoule rouelee

  • lol!! awesome. half life for life!

  • that was cool

  • wow plasma, delicious

  • it sounded like it was going to blow up!!

  • d-d-dude

  • totaly awesome

  • to sum up what he says in the discription:...........HOLY FUCK ITS PLASMA

  • WOAH! COOL!

  • vaina jopo

  • unburnt gas suddenly igniting due to being heated by microwave?

  • lol WHOA that is so cool

  • im well tryin that with no glass over it

  • D: Did you HAD NO SHIRT?!?! 0:32

  • OMG, it's dangerous.

  • What effects does that give the microwave?

  • WOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

  • lol

  • ok.....who ever is waching...those fumes are HIGHLY toxic...it can kill you if you breathe it...and the plasma can shatter glass...if you do this, be EXTREMELY careful...

  • i just tried, they smell prty nice

  • @lolley1100 "THE MASKS! THEY DO NOTHING!"

  • @Riskteven Nobody likes roasted nuts...

  • that was cool

  • be careful if you do this at home. it can be dangerous

  • its bill nye

  • could you maybe get a big microwave, maybe an industrial size one and cook a smaller microwave inside it while it is still plugged.

probaby have to drill a small hole in the door to put the lead through and also remove the turntable to stop it rotating. probably a bit dangerous though, wouldn't bother.

  • AWESOME!

  • that plasma can shadder glass

  • If you do this make sure not to breath the fumes ; take it outside to let the gas out. It's smells horrible and it's toxic

  • lol?

  • wtf is this fenoment

  • Nah, it wont harm the mircowave go-on! try it... YEAH RIGHHT!

  • THATS AWESOME!!

  • can this hurt ur microwave?

  • THAT WAS FUCKIN TIGHT!

  • Cool experiment (y)

  • awesome!!!!! what was that stuff s the top of the microwave.

  • After awhile, yes. Not all plasma is very hot though.

However, my test results in the microwave show that the plasma is at least 1250 Degrees Fahrenheit. I can send the data if you want.

  • By definition, yes it is. It's unstable though, so it goes away very quickly.

  • umm, that's not good for the microwave, plus it'll do the same thing if you just put plain foil or a penny in the microwave.

  • is that the sound the plasma makes?

    that buzzzzzzzzzzz sound?

  • It's called "plasma oscillation." It is the sound of the ions rapidly colliding with each other in a high energy environment.

  • now think halo! the elite weapons fire plasma!

  • True. But they aren't exactly running around with microwaves in their hands and pointing them at people lol.

  • lol :) they would be as small as a pistol. or they most liekly would not need them! :(

  • No. But they SHOULD be.

  • I can imagine the elites running after you with microwaves. And the Hunters' arms would go from a fuel rod gun to a microwave. lol.

  • Would'nt use the spinning tray, can fall over with plasma and I think it might work faster with if being still.

  • Spinning tray is more stable then still. Either way, the center will rotate. If you have the tray, at least everything rotates together. I've had better results with the spinning tray by the way.

  • YOU ARE SICK!!!!:P

  • quit with the plasma shit try microwaving garbage

  • Awesome! You helped me get 1 step closer into building a REAL Lightsaber. Once again Thanks! 5/5

  • what?!

  • holy shit, its like a mushroom cloud kinda....weird...

  • put on a shirt

  • WOW!

  • Whoa Wtf? That would freak me out!

  • looks like you were smoking LOL

  • whowh!

    amazing awesome!

  • shweeeet

  • Why didn't you take the glass out when it was done?

  • every one talks about grapes cause they do the same thing type in grape plasma in the youtube search bar and you will see for yourself

  • why the hell is everyone talking about grapes?!

  • whats the yellow thing the jar is on?

  • WHOA SHIT O_O

  • does he put any metal in there to

  • micro fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • grapes make plasma from the suger getting heated and evaporating then the gases combusting..basically same reason matches do that

  • Anubis is failure.

Grapes set fire due to the citric acid being so flammable.

  • I think grapes work because of the iron in them.

  • thats crazy, daisy

  • WHAT iS EVEN CAUSING THIS?!

    I DEMAND ANSWERS!

  • when gas is heated it turns into plasma, the fourth state of matter. the jar just keeps it there

  • It's funny cause I knew that.

    Why did I ask?

    o.o

I think I was referring to what it is within' the grape that causes a plasma to come to.

  • Wow.

    Wrong video.

    xD

Still, I wonder why the grape causes plasma...

  • You wanna know how grapes work. Simply, the sugars in the grape vaporize and dissociate into ions. The space between the two grapes creates an electircal field that heats up the sugars. Microwaves ricochet between the two grape halves and further heat the sugars. THe ions gain energy, then release energy in the form of photons (light.) I hope this helped:)

  • Holy crap thats like the most educated thing i've heard in a long ass time! :O

haha and I understood all of it :P

  • Good sir, I salute you!

    It makes sense, now.

I'm sure I could've figured it out, but this way seems a lot less work... y... yeah.

  • because if you open the microwave while its doing that the glass explodes

  • haha i would try that but i dont wanna blow up my house

  • Reminds me the sound of a lightsaber xD

  • thats rlly cool

  • the gases coming off the match became super heated and whala

  • I just want to ask this, and i'm not a physics expert or anything, i'm just curious: Is it possible to generate more energy with this than the oven is using?

  • Actually looking back at my question it seems pretty stupid... there's no way to do that, cause if there were we'd probably be exploring space by now :D

  • DUH we r ever heard of NASA U DUMB SHIT!!!!!!!!!

  • You can't generate electricity from a microwave.

  • I do believe you're forgetting the law of conservation of matter my friend. :P

Energy nor matter can be created nor destroyed. So, unfortunately, the answer is no lol.

  • Yeah, I can't believe I even asked that question.

  • making plasma produces NO2 my friend. it is toxic,so don't breath it. it doesn't harm the microwave,by the way.unless you microwave a magnet.

  • This is the best "microwave plasma" video on the net. PROPS (yes i've seen em all)

  • holy fuck why did it do that !!!!

  • THAT IS SO COOL (X

  • kooool

  • wear a shirt.

  • Stupid Question, But does this harm the microwave? I want to try it!

  • thats plasma being generated (as the incandescent gas from the fire is filled with ions and is conductive) i saw a plasma whirlpool made with a microwave oven it looks so cool (useles but cool anyway).

  • u juss made a fucking light bulb. lol

  • reminds me of Half Life

  • OMFG!!! THATS LIKE AL CIEDA FOR SHIZNIT!!! NOT SHURE HOW TO SPELL IT BUT WOAH WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTIONS RIGHT THERE!!!! WhOOHOoOoOoO

  • my freind and I are trying to make a weapon out of this unstable energy source.

  • Try saking the creators of halo. oh and the gases from this causes heart failure so be careful

  • oraelly?

  • I wanna see someone microwave a microwave..

  • lol thats tight try a cd

  • is that plasma?

  • OMG THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

  • yea i saw a video of this before its pretty sweet but it makes a mildly toxic gas

  • WTC?!

  • plasma...sweet

  • Cool . We did this in science and this girl passed out because another boy told her we were going to die.

  • that's so funny hahaha XD

  • Lol why would someone do an experiment in class in order to die? Haha... people don't think at all.

  • Yo, I'd just like to say that I wasn't actually naked when I filmed that. Just shirtless.

The glow is created by energy bombarding electrons in the ground state (sometimes referred to by those familiar with quantum mechanics as n=1) of an atom, raising them up to a higher energy level. When the electrons fall back down to n=1, a certian amount of electromagnetic radiation is released. Some of this radiation happens to be within the visible spectrum, producing the aforementioned glow.

  • Thats exactly wat i was thinking

  • After i watched teh video it gave me some really dumb fuck recommendations to watch XD!!!!

  • Nice to see that old trick. But ... as Richard Hammond always says: Dont try this at home kids! ;-)

  • everything turns to plasma -_-

  • Good! now harness its microwaved power and use it to blow things up! mwhahahaha

  • queria ver a cara da mãe dele quando descobrisse que queimou o microondas!!1

    ushausahusa

  • how the hell do people figure this stuff out?

  • I need... to try that...

  • PLASMA

  • wow.

  • oh my god. your whole house could explode

  • Plasma- Awesome. I still gotta build that AGDPP...

  • i'm pretty sure just watching that killed all my sperm

  • WTF? THAT WAS COOL!

  • You are a foolish imbosil. That is extremely dangerous not to mention the plasma it creates, that is extremely toxic. Not cool!

  • oh she's a foolish "imbosil" its imbecile you idiot dont try to act smart and mature if you cant spell worth a damn

  • hey we did it in science class. I know it dangerous. BUT IT IS COOL!

  • thats how you make plasma.... im not even kidding... after you take the jar out theres a chemical inside called N02.... its toxic

  • The fact that U kept it going 4 so long iz cool

  • he or she didnt come up wit tht -.-

  • I did it, it workes. Awsome! It cracked the jar when we left it in there.

  • That's freakin awsome. I'm going to do it right now :)

  • yes, it's cold plasma. check it out on wikipedia.

  • Wow...

  • man u r a genuis,, how did u do that.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • I need to buy an old microwave oven just for this.

  • OMFG!!!

  • fake

  • So will this wreck my microwave?

  • Don't do this at home! This process generates harmful gases - O3, NO, and NO2. You have to keep the glass turned upside down, then take it outside (or to a window) and turn it right side up, you should be able to do this experiment with little to no leakage.

  • That might be more impressive if I could tell what just happened.

  • Holy crap, Plasma! O__O

  • Plasma . . . The Magnatron needs a lil help from the heat of the flame to create it. The ramaining gas inside the jar is very bad for you so if you decide to try it take the jar and cover it and air it out OUTSIDE.

  • It's Plasma.

  • defimitely plasma effect! Flourescing.

  • what the shit was that?? OMG you are f'ing crazy

  • plasma

  • cool

  • Yes, it's plasma.

  • This is a repost...it is not capturing flames...it's capturing PLASMA

  • its plasma

  • microwaves are fucked up

  • booooooooooooooooooom

  • Plasma !
