I think your freaking awesome! I never had severe abuse like you went through, but it wasnt easy either. in 7 yrs of foster care, I went through 13 foster homes. Ended up with wonderful adoptive parents, who changed my view of the world. I understand you though when you say you were told to not speak out. I had that when I was younger as well. And then they say things like "and then where will you go? We were your last chance... blah, blah, blah" they say all that crap to scare you from speaking
In the USA we have a foundation that helps foster care children to be able to pay for college. I didn't go through Foster Care. I feel very sad that you had such misery when you were younger. It is good you ask for help and speak out about it. I would never want me or really anyone to go through fc. Now you are older and can make CHOICES for yourself.

Before i say the following i'd just like to remind you you seem like a very caring compassionate heart person and you should be proud of that. i was in care from 11 with foster parents and childresn homes and was sexually abused on the streets as runaway. no one shud have told u not to speak out. i understand things take a while to iron out, but have faith brother and be proud of yourself. check my vid, youngsters in care if u like. peace and love. I commend you on speaking out. Too many people do not voice their thoughts. You have already made a positive influence, simply by making this video, on soooo many others. People like you, make all the difference in the world. Grow strong from your ordeal, and do what you can to prevent it from happening to others.

As a father of two small children this scares the hell out of me!I pray my children never have to experience any thing like this!No child ever should!Please in the future be specific about who hurt you (names and addresses) and the location (country, city ect.)Lets expose these animals for who they are and maybe keep others from being hurt by them in the future!

I will say, life gets better. You will live with all your experiences, they become part of you. The key thought is, what you do with them? All people have some sort of scars in life, yours are just different and more than most. I truly hope you take all your experiences, scars and all and let them make you a stronger person, a strong man who makes a difference.

Found your video when searching on "foster care." Some of what you said was my experience, too, long years ago but still very clearly recalled. It'll take a while but you'll get past those bad experiences and make a whole life for yourself. Too bad you're not in my neighborhood, Seattle, or we'd talk more directly. if there is any abuse and watch and see get more workers who care about kids not just want to be workers. in my 21 years as a foster parent i have met about 5 workers who cared about there kids and who took the time to check and see how they where. again i am sorry you went threw hell but from your Vid i can see u r ok for now hugs from Canada
I to have decided to go ahead and start the Foster Parent training. I cant let these kids suffer any more.

Childhood was hell and it's the nightmares that are the worse.
Glad to move away from the abuse, thats the good thing about being an adult.

I know it is hard but with God it does get better. Look to him, I promise you that he will take over and take care of you.
