@axe187187 it's called a cover shithead. led zeppelin "stole" a lot of their shit from traditional blues song too, doesn't make their music any less good.
@may301985 They canceled a tour because of Meg's anxiety in 2007, but it was because Jack came off going full speed with two bands and she couldn't take it. And Jack White has kicked an interviewer out for lighting a joint around him, I seriously doubt he does anything.

@fatandshort Yeah there are a lot of version of this song. One of them is by Screaming Lord Sutch another by an American garage band called The One Way Streets.
im so jealous of meg's drums. she doesnt play the drums, she makes love to them. dont believe me? watch her facial expressions and tell me shes not getting pleasure out of it too
But I think the best version of Jack the Ripper (aka Peter Gunn) is belong to Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Especially Keith Emerson's solo on his fucking Moog.
@ffatboijosh haha what you said. I've seen them twice, seems like it was a dream. People ask me about it and I don't know what to say..........twas hit by a freight train, yeah that's it.
Great band! I always said that White Stripes are one of the few last babies of the great rock n roll dinosaurs. I don't mean to offend all you fanatics out there, but am i the only one who thinks that the main riff is inspired from the famous peter gunn theme?
@thatonechick77 yeah but the white stripes were the FIRST (to my knowledge) to combine the screaming lord sutch version of 'jack the ripper' with the riff from the 'peter gunn' theme so the gruesomes AND the horrors are covering the stripes cover. is it me or is this getting complicated?
i'm not an expert but i think he uses the biggest piece of shit $50 sears kids guitar in these songs. he showed it in "it might get loud" to make a point. it wasn't even wood. it looked like this one anyway. he's just way out there musically. just fearless as hell.

@1chamberlain1 yes, it is a sears guitar. it's an Airline which was a Sears brand in 50s and 60s, made by Valco (who also made Supro brand guitars). if they're expensive now it's just because the price has been ridiculously inflated due to the white stripes popularity.
