  • I have floaters IDENTICAL to these, but times 20. Both eyes. Been living with them since 2004. They started when I was 35 and progressively got worse since then. Hell, they are simply part of my life, now. Got used to them. Going to the ocean, and going to air shows is a pain, as I hate looking at light backgrounds, so I avoid it. They are depressing at first, but you get used to them.

  • Man, i hate going outside now it's like i'm getting molested by these things....I'm only 13, i only like looking outside at night..

  • i feel so sad that i'm barely 24 and i already see this, But still better to see like this but still BEING ABLE TO SEE than being totally blind.

  • I thougt i saw y own floaters whioe wathingnthis hahaha

  • I wear sun glasses now, evry frickin day, just to make them fuck offi even fall asleep wiv em on

  • I have loads like this wish they would go away I am so depressed god please help me, can anyone give me any good news about floaters

  • @carrington194 they have no cure, but i have a good new, at least you're NOT blind ;) I bet a blind person would wish to see like this AT LEAST.

  • sign Cure for Floaters Petition

  • I've had these for a long time? And before reading all these comments, I thought they were normal all this time. Damn, you guys make a big deal over this? Come on. I've suffered no inconvencience over this. I'm in Uni & I still manage. LOL @ this whole "makes me lose concentration" b.s.

  • i have many of these in bright areas .. but i have one fixed dark circle spot that keeps following my vision on my left eye wherever i look... i am not afraid of the rest of the floaters (supposedly it is harmless) but i am more concern with the one that is always in my field of vision.

  • LOL.. I got eye floaters while watching this video which really confused me....

  • zzzzZ i hate floaters! Zzzzzzz

  • 15 years old, i see floaters from my 10 and i can say it rly isnt funny, it is very distracting, you cant look at anything licht its just FUCKING PIECE OF ....

  • I'm also short-sighted which makes you much more prone to floaters unfortunately :( I also see a slight disturbance out of my left eye, like a small 'fuzzy' patch. When I blink, there's a bright light visible which disappears straight away, but when I open my eyes again, the fuzziness returns. My optician says It's just floaters tugging on my retina which causes the fuzzy effect. Also, I see a 'cloud' pass my vision briefly when I look left to right out of my left eye. Damn floaters :(

  • @iwtmltyb ok well im not a scientist but someone told me if you see that it means you might have to get surgery i have floaters but not bad at all i don't see what you see but i see the squggley lines ok well if this keeps on happening go to the hospital :P

  • Mine are much worse than this but majority of them are clear. If I go outside, they're everywhere I look! You who say they're nothing, want to put up with mine for a day or two. You'd go insane! I have the bastards in both eyes as well. Strangely, they've only bothered since I got an eye infection 2 months ago in both eyes. Can infection cause floaters? I'm immunosuppressed as well due to a recent kidney transplant so my chances of infection are significantly higher than most of you reading this

  • Surgery is risky. The only option at the moment is acceptance and time. These things are driving me mad; I want them gone. But I reckon the more I want them gone the more power I'm giving them. I'm learning to accept that I'll always see them but I reckon that in time I will no longer care. At least I f@&king well hope so.

  • mine are 10 times worse than that

  • keep laughing, because u haven't suffer.

  • funny that people wanna end their lives just by having floaters..try living with things like RP or chrinic uveitis or other eye diseases and tell me if you still wanna kill yourself just by having floaters

  • @wreyoG Some people want to get cured because it is annoying and it disrupts the vision, not that of blindness.

  • ive got a big long thin one in my left eye after having 4 months (and counting) of constant stress and anxiety.

  • Gee, now I don't know which are mine and which simulation lol xD

  • It's pretty rediculous how ppl will relate their OWN cases with floaters to other peoples. "Floaters aren't that bad, I have floaters and they dont bother me, therefor they shouldn't bother you." I see these sorts of comments online constantly, shows how selfcentered people can be...Everybody's floaters are different. If you can ignore yours, good for you, doesn't mean there aren't plenty of ppl in this world that have it MUCH worse than you that can't just "ignore" them...

  • A free list of cures can be found at the following video URL: watch?v=aQ0wtNG7Uas

  • mine are just circle shapes, when ever i look at them they move awway but them they follow me back.

  • i got attached to them had them when i was 12, im 16 now, dont bother me anymore

  • I don't even look at the sky anymore.

  • erm, I have 10 times more than this ;P but no problem Thanks God my vision is still good !

  • Mine are nothing like this they are sorta clear but sharp and much bigger and there stringy and move much faster

  • You gotta wonder why we were made the way we were. I mean really? We have a gel in our eye that naturally detaches and leaves a lot of people with more than just one floater. Not only that but floaters serve no purpose so I ask again lord... why?

  • People are always being fucking retarded!

"Oh it's probably nothing, just ignore them..."

    "It's not so bad..."

    "I wouldn't complain"

    WAH WAH WAH!!!

    WELL GUESS WHAT?!??!

IT'S FUCKING ANNOYING AND THESE FUCKING WORM CREATURES ARE PISSING ME OFF!!!

YOU "NORMAL" PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE A FUCKING CLUE OF HOW MUCH I WOULD LIKE TO RIP MY FUCKING EYE OUT, TAKE OUT THE DAMN THING, PUT MY EYE IN A GLASS AND FUCKNG CHEW ON THE GOD DAMN FLOATING THING!!!!!

    YUUUUMMYYYY!!!!!

  • @3ClickDead I amen to that, 3clickDead. However, the most important concern is the ability for each patient to drive and read successfully and enjoy life. I don't think the opthalmalogists clearly understand how "more than bothersome" they are to health.

  • @JMHeartsMakeup same age same thing its so fucking annoying

  • do you know how annoying having an eye floaters!!

  • I'm in band.... try reading 92 measures with these stupid things!!! Marching band too!!! Once, I tripped over a kid while looking at one and nearly caused the drumline to crash!!!!

  • oh

I would love to have just these, mine are much bigger :( and 100 times more ;( God help us all!

  • How did he get the camera to pick this up? Is this a simulation. It looks a lot like the real deal.

  • so freaking annoying

  • i used to think that im going blind when i first saw an eye floater

  • @TheRocker727 lol... same. they scared me shitless

  • when im in the car on the way to school i like looking at the sky and saying to myself "look at those little guys, arent they interesting?" and i watch them all day

  • Yeah i was 14 when I got those. Now im 15. See them every day. This ruins my life.

  • That's exactly how mine look,god i hope they don't get any worse,I'm only 26,bodies shouldn't degrade so fast :(

  • This charity is trying to raise awareness of floaters. If you have floaters please google oneclearvision and fill in their questionnaire.

  • unfortunately mine 1) aren't that small 2) aren't that transparent.

  • Looks like some commentators here need a good psychologist ...

  • i have those anoying bastards 2 but i see a dots like i started seeing a small dot when i was as the hostpital cause i hazd ASMA buti think beforethat i touched my eye or something and my ASMA(witch is now gone) might by caused by stress and as i red about eye floaters i found out they are cause by stress too but they can be treated in like 7 ways with lasers herbs and drugs

  • I love watching my floaters! A few years back, when I saw my first one, I thought it was a ghost. :P

  • @PokemonAWAKENED LOL mine was similar, me and my friend were skateboarding and we were sitting there just chillin, taking a break and all of a sudden i saw one and was like "DUDE DID YOU SEE THAT!?" And he just stared at me blankly x)

  • idk why u guys say floaters make u wanna end ur life. i think there fun to watch and keep me entertained when im really bored

  • @firebreather333

they're bothering me when i'm reading.

  • @firebreather333 when you have many of them its fucking unbearable

  • @firebreather333

I disagree, i´m 14 years old, and in school it´s very distracting -.-

  • @firebreather333 because probably yours aren't as bad as the people saying that. I would like you to experiment severe floaters for one hour of your life, and then we talk about how funny and entretaining they are. I won't even consider the floater in this video as a floater, is barely visible.

  • @Nuberuroxu

    I agree.

I would like an experiment, that i would have no floaters for one our, it has to be soo beautiful!

    and i´m only 14 years old :(

  • @firebreather333 There are other things to keep me entertained if I'm bored ......I can't read a book/drive or watch a movie without being annoyed & frustrated by theses floaters

  • @firebreather333 actually it can also kill you.. why?? because on certain.. times you have to focus.. and it may distract you...that leads to to death

  • @firebreather333 lol humor is always good even in sad moments ;P Yeah i know how bad it feels when you start to see them and knowing they have no cure, but after a time, you get kinda used to them.

  • can somebody help me pls??? Does someone has anxiety / depression and expereience this floaters . I mean it could be something neurological from the brain ?? . The thing is that when I close my eyes I see them too !!!:(

  • @getfunky79

Yes they do cause a lot of problems. I had to drop out of school because of them. And have thought about suicide, it ain't killing my self if I am no longer living.

I enjoy nothing in my life. Only thing I look forward to is closing my eyes in the dark.

  • @getfunky79 yup i have anxiety after taking minocycline and accutane, now i see a few floaters, maybe if the anxiety goes im thinkin they wont bother me any more

  • had them for years, loads..

    no ruining here.just acceptance.

and something 'to play' with lying on the beach or staring out the window with the sky as background.

    harmless.

  • Vvv omg yay finally no more eye floaters:)

  • @MrFrankthetank15 Lucky basterd! floates are normal but if you see 3-11 at once thats bad and if they come and go repeatively thats bad Dx no surgery ;( *Sobs/whimpers

  • In Italy Dr. Luca Crevatin is experimenting a drug to destroy the floaters.

He is a famous eye doctor here. However he dosent say much about this drug.

WE only understood that it dosent dissolve the entire vitreous but just the floaters.

He said that the drug should be expected December 2010. We are all waiting but we dont know anything yet

  • @max10wonderboy God bless him! now can someone cure my "stars" Dx

  • happy birthday to my floaters! they are like 15 years old now :d

  • Can having eye floaters and flashes but not retinal detachment prevent you from passing the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Medical Exam?

  • I have them worse than this. I feel as if they have become worse in the previous 2 years. Now they are big and dark.

  • i sometimes see these...rarely tho

  • I am 16 and I only see one clear floater thing when I concentrate on the sky. I only got it recently. I thought I was losing my mind when I saw it.

  • Im fucking tired of thefloaters, eerywhere i look i see them, the worst fot me is skying i just cant concentrate...

  • with that background I can see my own floaters

  • Magari fossero così leggere... miodesopsie dimmerda. Solidarietà a tutti coloro che soffrono di questo disturbo

  • These things are annoying! I can't appreciate a beautiful painting with these things! And when you try to focus your vision to the floaters they look like they're evading/avoiding/drifting! (whatever you call it)

  • Floaters can range from a minor annoyance to something much more debilitating. We have set up a new charity for people suffering from severe and premature degeneration of their vitreous. You can find more information on our YouTube channel.

  • haha i got my real floaters mixed up with the videos floaters

  • dude, all this time I thought I was seeing orbs

  • Floaters are beautiful. I stare at the sky just to see them better.

  • lol are yout kidding, its so disturbing,

I have like over 7 floaters in my right eye, is that normal??

  • i have many too. probably around 5 or 6. but im 16. had them since i was 7. annoying at times but fun at others

  • Its so annoyong

  • hey guys, there are people here who have diabetes problems?

  • Comment removed

  • i remember having the floaters since i was 5. the funny thing is even then i knew what they were. little tiny particals foating around in your eyejuice. mine tend to look like little transparent hairs or cells under a microscope.

  • Wow, I have the same exact view: round objects lighter than the background with tiny borders. But I also have few black small ones with shiny borders.

They're so annoying while driving and reading

  • I wish I could go blind in my right eye, I hate this thing. ohhh my god.

  • Comment removed

  • Its like a stringy spider or something, its really annoying.

  • i think there funny. it gives me something to look at hahahahaha

  • Good thing you see a funny side on them, I hate those things, they're so annoying. I've had them like for 10 years and it was recently that I discovered what they are. At least I feel some relief because I thought it was something bad, now I see that a lot of people have them too.

  • i thouht it was real , lol

  • my floaters are very bad, i see blur when i move side to side my eyes when i see light, it blurs the hell out of the light and some are clumps, i wouldn suggest surgery for these, surgery isnt good for the eyes unless its a threat and you need surgery.

  • I have floaters,but I'm not too annoyed by them.The first time I noticed them I thought I was seeing ghosts..lol

  • im 13 and i have been suffering with floaters for about 5 months now and i really need to know what to do with them. Please help me!!!!!!! They are soooooooo annoying!!!!!!

  • Wow... Some people have more.. and people sa they're not this faint?! Really?! Cause this is almost exactly what I see... Except I see some circle ones too

  • There not this faint .

  • fake

  • Floaters are usually harmless. Though, if you do have floaters / flashes of light, it's a good idéa to have it checked by a doctor.

Even though floaters are completely harmless, it can sometimes be the reason of a serious (but very rare) illness.

  • I keep hearing about flashes of light, what do they look like, are they very noticeable because when I squint my eyes really hard I see little spots that I think are white, I dunno if I'm just seeing things though

  • Looks like very bright stars, but they're only visibile for a split second.

  • Hmm, so I also heard that they cause a whole bunch of floaters to pop up, is that true as well? Because i haven't had that yet

  • Floaters isn't things that just pops up occasionally. It's dead tissue floating around inside the eye.

If you have floaters, you see them all the time, anywhere, for the rest of your life.

  • No I was talking about flashes, those make a bunch pop up

  • Like I said, floaters are present all the time. They don't pop up.

  • Oh, well what i meant was when you see flashes you have (what my doctor calls) "showers" of floaters that all become very visible at once, if that makes sense

  • I haven't seen more nor less floaters or anything of the like when I see flashes.

  • i got the same thing.

  • I don't wanna get surgery, it's not that much of a problem just a nuisance. Kinda get distracted in class sometimes though.

If only they made some kind of tablet or syrup that could eliminate them, it's not worth the very small but worrying chance of becoming blind!

  • If you look closely at this video, you can see some very faint but much bigger floaters in the background. (If you tilt the screen you can see them more clearly.) They almost look like bugs with hairs around them. These are the kind of floaters that REALLY freak me out -- they tend to show up in the dark or when your eyes are closed. My doctor told me they were harmless, but I'll never forget the first night I saw them...I was almost scared to death. I thought I was hallucinating.

  • Are they harmful?

  • They are just annoying.

  • Well I'm 22 and I just recently noticed these. Heck I didnt even know what a floater was until today, lol. Well I;m relieved though...I was beginning to worry which is why I googled (seeing spots) lol. Mines' not bad but it does bug me. They look like little pieces of fuzz...

  • when i think about them mostly they come up, but when i dont think about them i tend to not notice them

  • I am 14, and it is uncommon to have them if you are under 16. I have had them since ever. I remember being 6, and looking out the window of a cra out of bore and trying to catch them w. my eyeballs.

  • There is Italian product/multivitamin called VITREOXIGEN which seemed to help some people to either get rid of them or reduce them. Has anybody here tried it? You can currently only buy it in Italy. No international shipping.

  • Holy shit, that's spot on. Man, they are annoying. I'm 14 and I had them ever since I can remember. They aren't really annoying for me, I had them for a long time so I'm used to them and I don't mind too much. But what I hate the most is wondering if they are bad or something. Could it like ruin your eye or no, you just have to learn how to live with it? I just don't want my eyes to get ruined. Are floaters dangerous and can they cause bad things to happen to your eye?

  • I freaking hate them. I read that lasiks do not fully get rid of them. Does it minimize them if you have a lot? They are an annoyance.

  • :C i want help

  • does any one see spots along with the strands??

  • me lol

  • I know how you guys feel

I'm 14 nearly 15 and I've had my eye floaters for nearly 3 years now.

Over the Summer this year I got so freaking depressed.

Sometimes I just want my normal eyesight back and I have no-one to talk to abt it cos' no-one else seems to understand how annoying they are.

  • Over masturbation causes extreme floaters.

  • I have them too... And unfourtunatly my job is sitting in front of a computer all day, so they really get on my nerves... thinking about getting them checked out...

  • yeah people that dont hav them are very lucky!! these things totally fuck your vision up!im pissed off at this stage with them,

  • so true. I'm 17 and it really does fuck my vision up. especially when I'm outdoor, I see them every second...............

    fuckin annoying

  • @catscantfly i have them from mine lyme disease, damm floaters. i wonder how did he do this movie, f-ing doctors could not even believe me that i see them like they heard first time about them.

  • they ruin your life. people that don't have them will never understand how fucking lucky they are

  • Comment removed

  • the floaters in this video are nothing.

  • yea the op does carry risks but by the sound of it most of the ppl here should take the risk. seriously jus do the research on it, see if its what you want. moorfields is the only place (that i know of) tht does the FOV i got it done by this guy called dr sullivan. if any ones serious about getting the op im gonna get down everything i knw about getting the op, risks, recovery and so on an ll send it about if any one wants it.

  • there is a cure. i suffered from them for a long 3 years, they became intolerable. my local doctor said there was no cure and you will just grow used to them but i couldnt accept that for an answer. so i did the research and found out about the vitrectomy. although it did carry risk i was determined to go ahead with it. 6 months later and my floaters have completly dissapeared, ive got my life back again. i just wish more people suffering realised there is a solution to the crappy condition.

  • Man, if you are lying i will find you and kill you!!!

  • haha, chill! course im not lyin

  • a possible and expensive solution with a risk that might not be worth taking.

  • Sorry on my idiotic comment i am just upset with this problem because i have relatively big floater in my right eye since April 2008.I heard that there is just two possible solutions laser treatment and vitrectomy.

  • Eye Floaters, I too have floaters, (The clear bubbly blops & the tiny chain ones.) Actually every body has floaters, because we can bring it to their attention if we tell them what to tune in on. Fact! we all have a blind spot in each eye but the mind compensates for it, Our sight is also slightly out of alignment to each other (close one eye and look out the other, now swap, did you notice a alignment jump? Well the mind aligns that for you too,

  • now to your floater problem, the mind is able to filter it out for you by using the image from the other eye, just the same way it filters out our blind spot that we all have. However if you going to pay more and more attention to the floaters the mind will do what you tell it to...It will bring it fully to your attention instead of filtering it out. So silly as it may sound, just ignore them, or experiment with altering eye dominance so that you mostly use better one. Be well

  • I have so fn many I want to kill my eyes and poke them out damnnnnnnnnn ! sad :(

  • lol, everyone here is just complaining about floaters. I have them too, and its driven me to near suicide how much they bother me. Just know this, they might go away. Thats a chance worth living for.

  • Im 16 and have like 10x more then this video..i hate them so mcuh

  • Mine drive me fucking insane and i only have them in my right eye. I have a black dot and a sort of a 6 shape that bounce around in there!!!

  • I used to think they were caused by accidentally looking at the sun! I have loads of them now. THey're very noticeable looking at this bright white screen.

  • I hate floaters.....I'm 19 and I have a full collection in both eyes....I'm seeing them even when I read a damn book

  • im 16 and have them like 3x as much as this video and the dark black dot ones are anooying...i hate these things

  • i'm 16 and just got one. its only one small 1 though in left eye

  • yeah me too it blows

  • dont feel bad ive had them since i was like 12 and im 35

  • mines are clear and kinda look like bubbles

  • ya same here

  • I started to notice these occasionally when I was 5 but I thought it was something floating in the air so I ignored them now im 13 and they are alot and its like they are joining together to

  • fuck thats nothing i have so many holy shit and im 15

  • omg same here im 15 and have them....there so annoying

  • wow that isn't at all how mine look... mine are only in my left eye and i can actually draw the shape of them perfectly because i've found a way to get a good look at em'... stupid little f**kers!

  • I hate these f***ers. FOV is too risky for myne as I only have a few. I hope some scientists pull their finger out and find a reasonable cure for these! These little things give so much misery!!! It sucks. Chin up tho ppl, it's not much when you put it in respective to other ppl's problems.

  • ROFL I CANT TELL IF IT"S THE YOUTUBE FLOATERS OR MY REAL 1's ON THIS VIDEO AHAAHA

  • hahaha, ya no shit. I was wondering the same thing. These are pretty accurate.

  • when i loook in the blue sky i see dozens more tho on this video, damn this was a 1year old comment haha

  • well, let me know if you go blind. I guess they're not hurting anything. My mom said all of her great aunts/uncles had macular degeneration though...awesome. Now that I'm married, I would rather go deaf than blind.

  • haha i guess it symbolizing whenever im not paying attention i always see it... so i think it's a god thing..

so whenever we dont see them, were paying attention and if were not, then were not paying attention so it actually kinda helps me from that perspective :D

  • iam 17 and i had them for 2 months :( i get depressed sometimes:( i just want my normal vision bak:(

  • I had a very bad case of floaters in both my eyes I found a doctor in California whose name is Dr. Johnson he has all but eliminated my floaters with this laser.. my quality of life has dramatically changed, I had to stop reading for any long period of time.. now I can read.. my life has changed, I should pass this information along. this doctor's phone number is 877-487-4448 he is located in Irvine California

  • was the laser,treatment expensive?

  • i have them from may......study now is impossible my life is changed.....i' m only 24....

  • I'm 32 and has at least triple more of this crap in my eyes. Howether, FOV is the only option to get rid of them - but there's only a small number of doctors in the world, who can perform the procedure. It is expensive as well and has a serious risk of complications in the future - in my case: i found no surgeon who would be ready to take a responsibility to do it for me.

  • this is my eye problem.i am 21 and i want my clear vision back.i am too young to be blind.

  • your not blind man... look into FOV (Floaters Only Vitrectomy) im currently doing so... looks very promising.
