  • Simply beautiful. I felt every word and you have a lovely voice.

  • Thank you for a brilliant rendering of one of Stan's most powerful songs (among many). You have the voice, the guitar work and above all the heart to make this a wonderful song. I'm guessing that you're playing in Open D? With your inspiratiion, I'll figure it out.

  • Brilliant: brought a tear to my eye. Thanks for sharing your gift with us.

  • Flawless axe work, fantastic voice. Thanks.

  • Bravo. Fine guitar work and a fantastic voice.

  • Great job. You have done the Man credit.

  • Gave me chills, man. Beautiful rendition!

  • This makes me cry! I bought Stan Rogers's cd since I used to listen to it all the time in an Ontario family where I used to live in 1988 and it just transports me back in that time. I am so moved by your sensitivity, just like I am when I listen to Stan Rogers. It is such a shame he is gone! Thanks my friend for sharing this.

  • WOW....Nice, really nice...guitar AND voice!!

  • Your cover is beautiful....you really do sound similiar to Stan but have your own sound. Sounding similiar to Stan is a big compliment because very few can sound as good as him.

  • Nice job happy Spring 2010

  • Well heartfelt and true.

  • Stan Rogers' legacy still lives. Good job!

  • Almost borught on a tear. My first Christmas away from home(New Brunswick) this year. Well done man.

  • This is a beautiful, moving song. Thanks for posting.

  • ... and so sad and human.

  • You seem pretty polished. How many years have you been playing, and is this your preferred style?

  • Thanks...I've been playing guitar for nearly 32 years but only seriously in the past few years.

  • Hmm... You dont seem older than 32 to me:)

  • How do you get a one armed Newfie out of a tree? Wave at him.

  • You've done a wonderful job on this, Newfie.

Well done and I salute you!

  • My best friend just played this song for me today. He is a huge Stan Rogers fan. Great job!

  • This is a great song, and you were absolutely amazing. I will be spending my first Christmas alone this year at Basic Training for the Air Force. Too bad I won't be able to listen to it on Christmas day. :(

  • What can I add? Everyone else's comments are right on. You sing and play beautifully.

I play a version of Stan's "Delivery Delayed," that made my mother cry. Every time I see her, she wants me to play it for her. I never tire of doing so.

  • Just wanted to say that you are very talented and have a wonderful voice, you can play a mean guitar too... keep up the great work!!! :)

  • this is so beautiful,Its a very emotional song. Wonderfully sung and played

  • Bravo, c'est superbe. Tu chantes super bien et le couple guitare-chant fonctionne très bien. La musique est douce comme je l'aime. MERCI MERCI BEAUCOUP.

  • I love this song and always have. Even when I spend Christmas' alone, and away from home. I actually found this song years ago, just before my first Christmas away, when a dear friend and her family took me in for Christmas dinner. Christmas alone is not so bad, whn friends are around. Well done You.

  • thanks so much for sharing your comments

  • very touching :)

  • thanks

  • This song is so depressing, that it just doesn't seem like it should be a Christmas song. I understand that it is a sad story and I am sorry for these people. However in addition to the sadness it is as if it has no meter. It's everywhere. I just didn't like it.

  • Top notch stuff; makes we get all weepy.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  • Not many people can do stan rogers justice, but you always do. This song hits home for alot of people. Keep bringing good music.

I miss my home!!! but thanks for singing this...
