  • Asian doing what they do best.

  • this shit has allready been invented long time ago, this kid is no inventor

  • @ciocanlica At least the kid is thinking, what are you doing????

I bet your in your mom & dads basement smoking another bown!!

  • @serger2010 nice joke :)))) i'm a student you deuchebag and i don't smoke and no drinking so shut the fuck up bitch little pussy i bet you are a pussy

  • @ciocanlica WOW yes you sound like a punk kid (go smoke another bowl boy)

  • @serger2010 pussy, learn how to spell before retarded motherfucker

  • @ciocanlica You need to grow up son, you make your self sound like a little punk!

think about it real hard before you answer!

  • @serger2010 i'm not your son you little bitch, man you really are retarded

  • @ciocanlica your a verry verry little boy good luck with your life!!!

  • @serger2010 thank's and fuck you

  • @ciocanlica ????????????????????????

  • You know you could just buy a solar panel. Not to hate but wasnt this already invented? i believe its called the hoover dam...

  • This kid watched somebody else make this stuff on youtube, and all of a sudden he's an inventor?

  • Thomas Edison was a bastard who electricuted an elephant to discredit Nikola Tesla

  • That kid is a dumbass, "I wanted to be remembered like thomas edison, he created the lightbulb" Tomas didnt invent the lightbulb it was already invented by Humphry davy

  • 2000+ year old water wheel, check. 120 year old DC motor, check. 150 year old Lead-Acid battery, check. Imafuckin GENIUS!!

  • Edison stole most of his patents from Nickola Tesla, Tesla was the genius, NOT Edison.

  • Its always a white kid lol.Close kid but no cigar.

  • Great use of scrap stuff looks like things I`v made. When 14Y.O. I made a wind generator that played my radio.

  • Maybe some kid can make a circut to grow hair for the host LOL

  • cool

  • Well done. That was inspiring to see a high school student that is doing something and inventing. It seems to me that there are others that don't see the importance of small projects like this for kids. It is not like he was submitting it for a PhD thesis. I am happy to see kids away from the TV and computer working with their hands.

  • omg wtf ... seriously ... he did a stupid generator and he got a tv show episode dedicated to him like he is a freakin genius ... anyways thats too funny ...

  • this is called a turbine....

  • I am very happy to see the vidoe from you, hopefully the others also are happy for You High School student, Kettner Griswold, has devised a way to achieve renewable energy through hydropower.

  • I Love The Video It Can Increase My Knowledge Amazing Hydro-Electric Power Collector

  • Steady I Really Like This Video Amazing Hydro-Electric Power Collector

  • Good, I like that you share this video, I wish success always High School student, Kettner Griswold, has devised a way to achieve renewable energy through hydropower.

  • Nice Video That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You High School student, Kettner Griswold, has devised a way to achieve renewable energy through hydropower.

  • I Really Like The Video From Your High School student, Kettner Griswold, has devised a way to achieve renewable energy through hydropower.

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Amazing Hydro-Electric Power Collector

  • did anybody notice that the chain wasn't turning

  • ЧЗХ лопасти вращались, а генератор вообще не крутился??

  • If he used the energy he collected to drive a pump, he could pump the water back up and make even more energy when it runs down again

  • He is the next Einstein(at least for America!!), Genius, He should have born in India.

  • why he dont smile

    he looks angry !!!

  • Fucking genius, next step - hook it to the water companies service pipe, before your stopcock, and voila! free energy, well free as in free for you!

  • Yeah too bad the chain wasn't turning when they started hosing the wheel with water...FAIL no way that flimsy wheel could sustain the load of turning that motor.

  • mein gott bist du cool das kann doch jeder was soll das du bist nicht hochbegabt

  • HEY KID YOU TOOK THE ALREADY EXISTING DESIGIN AND MODIDIT

  • The way they were talkin about him..... I expected him to turn into Superman and fly away !!!

  • he wants to be remembered he says. when people start doing good for the better of other beings, then the world will become a better place. what was the point of wasting all that clean water? the air force srsly needs to find better things to do instead of pointless advertisement. lol he wants to make a change he says.

  • look at the motor as they runed it, it didnt even turnt !

lol sry cuz of my english XD

  • Wanna be like good ol' Tom?, then you're doing it wrong, you have to steal ideas..

  • generating 50W per year ))

  • this is so simple and over rated that it clouds the kids passion and makes him look like a wanna be genius.

  • over rated............but the only great thing in this video is the kids passion

  • Hey kid why not put an inline water powered generator on your house hold water supply and then everytime you turn on a tap you can make current and you can also put seebeck modules (T.E.C.) on you heating ducts that will make a current every time you heat your house or put them on any thing that makes a decent amount of heat... like the toaster or the oven or your cars engine and exaust system.

  • hahaha nice .... in America is something great in Europe is rubbish. knowledge of each preschooler allows you to build this toy

  • Carbon footprint... not another global warming nut.

  • Нет,ну с водостоком конечно круто придумал,теперь стоит попробывать в речку с течением тыкнуть хоть дождя ждать не придется.

  • how about a way to neutralize the chemtrails?

  • At the bottom of the downspout, he has a steel can which diverts the water flow 90 degrees. All the kinetic energy the water gained in its fall down the downspout was converted to heat and wasted. He is just using the weight of the water as it fills the bottles and ignoring the free inertia offered by the falling water. Just trying to be helpful. I think it is a fine project and he has done a great job in the construction.

  • I have made many better thing such as perpetuum mobile, free energy devices, magnet motor......

    <3 SERBIA <3

Ovo je glupost, wow pronalazac vodenog tocka -.-.

  • Awesome!!!

  • why the chain doesn't run at 3:35 ?

  • Didn't see the chain moving. Probibly because it would stop the water wheel from turning under such a load....

  • Hey Kettner, why don't you put an enclosed water pump into your house's plumbing to power a small gen/ Alt. every time your house uses water, ie. Baths, Dishwasher, Washing machine, Showers, etc... I know there will be a small drop in pressure, But don't they already put in flow restricters shower heads etc.. you can re-coop some energy out of the water pressure and still use the water.

  • gets points for trying, but your not gonna do squat with that.

  • It is a very good idea. However, them motor did not turn during the demonstration which begs to ask, Does the generator require more energy to turn than the wheel can provide? If so, perhaps use a smaller generator or larger wheel.

  • DC power there is gonna need an AC converter to power my 110V blender to make margaritas

  • WTF I THOUGHT OF THAT SHIT LIKE 10 YEARS AGO!!!!

  • @mackmatthew64 My thoughts exactly. At the same time, if this made any meaningful amount of energy the flooding outside would be horrendous!!

  • That looks like its going to fall to pieces.

  • Why are they acting like this kid is a genius? Its not that SPECIAL.

  • @AlexanderMazarakis at least he actually made something his not even in college yet give the kid some respect.

  • @KyleRidesStreet There are highschoolers who have made breeder reactors in their back yards. This is a play-thing made of garbage.

  • @AlexanderMazarakis its not the best invention out there but it works and actually does something. "Show respect get respect"

  • @KyleRidesStreet Its not even an invention since it has already been made before.

  • @KyleRidesStreet No it doesn't work in the video, you can see that the chain is not turning and besides the motor would have to be turned at high rpm in order to make any usefull current. Earth batteries are simpler and continue making an electric potential even when it's not raining. I do give credit to the young guy for trying, cause as we know most kids his age are low thinking and nothing doing video game addicts.

  • @ArnoldBelsimi yeah at least you understand what im trying to say

  • Comment removed

  • @Unkonvinced Learn what cognitive dissonance is before trying to use it.

  • @AlexanderMazarakis its not a new invention :o

  • @AlexanderMazarakis , Nor are you dickhead!

  • @1BustedMyth And yet i have 20 thumbs up and you dont. Have a nice day.

  • @AlexanderMazarakis. Yes that would explain why this World is in such a mess, more assholes with negative selfish minds then good people who actually give a shit! yes well that does explain why so many people are dieing right now in war, starving to death or from a curable disease. Selfish little bastard, your actually stupid enough to try to brag to me for being popular for that comment? WTF. Critics are cheap, doers are rare. Dickhead. Have a bad day!

  • @1BustedMyth I would like to bring to your attention that this kid is probably just an actor. Also if you will refer to seniorortega's comment the thing doesn't even work.

  • @AlexanderMazarakis Oh you would would you!..... you really are a genius! NOT! So you think a comment on yt is always accurate! he's an actor? wtf! and the wheel doesn't work! man you really are stupid! shows how little you know about engineering. I'm deeply impressed that with your low IQ you are able to use a computer! Hey good luck with being popular by being an asshole! I'd say have a nice life but i would not mean it!

  • @AlexanderMazarakis. By the way moron, this is as simple as batshit way to make power if you have a water flow. few million people would almost kill to have it. Most people on this planet live with almost nothing. I suggest you investigate "Appropriate technology Engineering" before making a further fool of yourself. A demonstration "Micro water turbine/ wheel" (what this kid has built) can be built for $5. Go do something usefull for a change, stop polluting the internet

  • @AlexanderMazarakis, Talk about F...king stupid!

  • lolllllllllllllllllll

  • yeah takatalvi05,I was abuot to say the same thing. A light was invented in1806 by Humphrey Davy, then in 1878 thomas edison perfected it. good going but you seem to be doing it for the wrong reason...to be remembered....sure but be remembered for doing something for the earth and teaching green not for your own satisfaction

  • Thomas Edison didn't actually invent the light bulb...he just 'perfected' it.

    Wiki it.

  • Hey Kettner, Keep going bro! That was pretty cool! Hope you can see past all the nay sayers and become a huge credit to the human race! You are RIGHT ON!!! :)

  • guys the kid is starting give him a break.

ps. this won't work because yes you can produce energy that way but that doesn't mean it will correctly charge a battery, it needs a good charging circuit for that. as they are explaining it the motor is connected directly to the battery, when the battery charges it will discharge through the engine if done this way, so this kid still has a loooong way ahead of him.

  • Run a hose from neighbors house, put it on your machine and get free power :P

  • they just hating because they wasn't able to find a starting place themselves, do work man!!!!

  • This is cool. Dont listen to these idiots. So what its simple, but it works and he is a kid... What are you and your kids doing besides sitting on youtube trolling....?

  • >2:20<

  • Imagine if there was a commercially available product like this on the market, would you buy one? If it came in kit form, would you build it? The answer depends on weather you live in an area where the power fails every time there is a rain storm, say in hurricane prone Florida. Then it could be very valuable as a way to charge emergency batteries, power lights or portable heaters during a storm. A large collecting tank (or tanks) could save water for a longer time.

  • wow that is an awesome idea and then the water you can use for a rain barrel.

  • Well, I just took the biggest shit ever. can I get featured on a TV show for that? Christ, people have been doing this shit for CENTURYS. Using something called a "water wheel" to spin some "gears" to transfer the energy towards a different "activity" SO moral of the story, children, if you reinvent the wheel, don't flaunt it. And this TV show? Way too much fucking detail for something this simple.

  • dude i am trying to do the same invention and i watched your video even but the but just did not understand very well can you please give me a favor and give all the guide line of this invention including some photos if tis is possible for you thank

  • I wonder how many USAF jets this thing could power.

  • Let me destroy your dreams before further on in your life where suicide is likely. Your never going to be Thomas Edison.

  • So easy

  • what was so great about that?

  • do you really need that chain? why not just connect the water wheel directly to the shaft of the generator?

  • @bulletproof2353 the force of the water might not be enough to turn the turbine so making a gear ratio difference can increase the torque to be able to turn it. Well that's my thought anyways

  • @bulletproof2353 the chain and sprocket is for the gear ratio. it spins the axis of the generator faster than what the water wheel is turning

  • O my god I made one like that when I was 6 and now I'm 14 and he gets reworded this is bull shit

  • oh yeah. the new thomas edison huh? invent something as big as popular as the light bulb and then we'll talk...

im 14 and could have done this on a weekend when i have nothing better to do...

  • This already exists.

  • Its all about showing the people how easy it would be to generate power , that the government and power companies don't want us to know. But yet there is always people that come online putting other peoples projects down..Because they dont want people to know how easy it is to get off the grid of Big money making companies sucking us in when we can do it ourselves.

  • shit man im 15 and i can do better shit than this guy

  • He needs a mentor. The spoon on a Pelton wheel extracts the momentum of the stream and he just has impact - no stream reversal. Throwing half the power away.

    Shape and size is important.

  • Comment removed

  • you morons, it's not the turbine that is the invention, it's using rain water out of a downspout that is the idea.

  • as soon as you were to hook the generator to something the wheel would stop

  • so what

    big deal

he re-invented hydropower after over 50 years of it being perfected

so he thinks he has alot of time left as well (i hope he gets run over)

  • good job you make enough power to charge a battery every 9 years

  • @narutogeese1 lol

  • @willemschra LOL, I didn't even notice that. I was thinking that it wasn't turning fast enough to produce any significant power to start with, but wow, now that I see that it can hardly even freewheel, it is a total fail. Why do we praise those who have achieved nothing? This is what is dooming society today.

  • Good job in this young age.keep it up.GOD bless you.

  • he is using a hose.

if it really rains, well, he can sing firework while he sees his "creation" explode into flames.

  • F.ck you people. Bunch of whiners. At least he's doing something useful instead of watching Justin Bieber. What did you whiners do at that age except for playing with ur pipi?

  • he looks like the camera operator dude from icarly O_o

  • Why the fuck did they even make this video? It looks like those stupid sons of bitches are giving this asshole credits for 100 year old technology. Maybe even 200 years!!

  • I hate this kid and I hate edison.

  • wouldnt a windmill be more friendly it wouldnt need 2 wait untill it rained to spinn the dam wheel

  • People who discourage a young man from learning and accomplishing things really need to look at THEMSELVES in the mirror. Keep up your work kid!

  • can everyone stop the hating its been done before and it will be again. Why scrutinize this young kid for doing something new in his life.

  • Yay a turbine. Fan-fucking-tastic. I thought of something like that years ago but never did anything with it cus its, you know, been done before thousands of times...

  • Congratulations, you have built a machine that has enough power to charge a phone when it's raining with a system that has been around for decades.

  • 3:08 Yeah fuckin efficient or..like so

  • Have you never been to or seen Hoover Dam? Nothing new here.

  • Shot guy,s harsh word,s at a young inventor ,he,s on the right track with his attitude, thinking green is the point not the thing but the thing worked so burp at you burrrp.

  • He is credited for reinventing the water wheel, BS

check out my channel i have built a stirling engine from tin cans and an aluminium air battery from aluminium foil and pencil leads and i'm working on other things and the only thing anyone has ever told me was "Waw".

  • @yellowmetalcyborg I know right? Ima give you a thumbs up in hope your message gets up to the highest rated comments because it deserves to be there, unlike this lil kid on tv...

  • @obeyance Thanks man, I was angry when I wrote this comment, so excuse my language.

Then again, looks like everyone was angry while writing their comments...

  • thats not a fucking invention, that shit has been around for 2000 fucking years.

  • that was already invented... its good that he made one but its not a new technology

  • gay hippie kid

  • I am his age and my hydro electric is much better than his (he doesn't even have a gearbox inclued in his project!!!)

  • in the first 5secs this movie flashed my brains 3 times. well i say AMERICAN TYPE FLASHING PIECE OF SHIT

  • Nice job.

  • I've noticed several unkind comments about this kid's gadget, yet, I've not noticed any video responses posted demonstrating how it could've been done better. Can the naysaysers chill out a bit, and acknowledge that this guy did something with potential. Perfect? Clearly not. Check the budget, though. I think I heard the narrator mention all discarded parts....

  • Yeah, thats what my 22yr old nephew said(I Have Plenty Of Time) until a Drunk Driver ran Him Over As He was Crossing The Street From One Freinds House To The Other. And oh yes,Enviromentalist is one reason why we are in the Economic shape we are in now, just look at all of the Steel Plants that Have Been Closed and the fact we do not use the Oil we have in this country,Yeah,HIP-HIP YOORAH For The Damned Enviromentalist,ASHOLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • Give this kid a brake he's only young he'll get there in the end. And maybe show his some support. Go on kid keep going.

  • he should of made the gear bigger so that it would spin the generator faster !

  • this kid probably doesnt even use his new invention either

  • ya... wow and look at 3:08 look at all the water he is wasting at going out the top of the coffee can if he made if tightly sealed it would have more pressure and create more electricity and then he could have his so called "invention" face perpendicularly to the house... it seems really flimsy though, you could make that in 5 minutes at least try to make it use all the water to power the waterwheel by using better fins or whatever they are called

  • lmao but it's true what you say

  • Wow.... who knew you could use water to spin a wheel.

  • dude this does not take brain power. you know how I know this, well ill tell you, its because you don't know anything. The idea for the light bulb was originally conceived by Humphrey Davy in 1806 not edison u idiot and he had a couple thousand patents

  • engineers aren't historians

  • probs wouldn't even pull off a 50w hour...

  • this is a joke lmao

  • He didnt invent shit! People have been doing this for aaaages!

  • true... people are giving credit to the wrong person..

  • thats to ezzy

  • that diagram they did of how that thing works is stupid there was no circuit board to prevent the power from the battrey going to the motor so basically when you attach it to the battery the battery will run the motor instead of the motor charging the battery...you need a circuitry board to prevent the flow from going to the motor this design is bullshit

  • there a diode in the circut

  • look up what a diode is before you rate a comment

  • Comment removed

  • Lol this is so stupid.

What kind of show would patronize this little fuck because he can play with fucking legos?

This "Invention" is old news, everyone knows a motor can be a generator & water can turn a turbine!!

  • Amen.

  • @remusomega STFU... There is an infinite amount of ways to replace capitalistic methods of producing power. No, he didnt invent this method, but it demonstrates the fact that it does not require being indebted to the local power company to have electricity. You seem to be making a public mockery of his independent way of thinking. What are you, a watchdog for capitalism and the pigs that monopolize products?

  • @gears2777

I'm making a public mockery of the fact that this stupid TV show would actually broadcast something so stupid just because it came out of the ass of a ten year old. This is in no way TV material, & no I am not a watchdog on capitalism/pigs that monopolize products, you pseudo-intellectual moron. Perhaps you should look up the definition of 'patronize' before trying insult someone else's intelligence you creepy ass pedophile.

  • @remusomega Stop trollin... you're actin like every 10 year old does this sort of thing. The kid did a good job and others like him should be incouraged to practice this sort f behavior.
