I think this might be a great step for transformers! I loved the 1st 2 movies, tho not everyone did (i respect that). I think this game will have some things for everybody. as you can see, there getting closer to G1 in this game. Well, it was a different Optimus in Animated. That Optimus was more of a "building throughout the whole show to get to earn the role of the other Optimuses" character.

Thats not the original G1 Optimus. He was a more square truck and he uses a blaster gun. The axe was not like that, it was an arm replacement like Megaman blaster arm . Look out for Optimus 20th anniversary item B000H44MD0

Wow. Primes primary weapon is a freakin rifle. His melee weapon is an axe. Really, thats primes only melee weapon other than his fists. Its official that he uses axes more than swords.(live action swords)

Like I said....PRIMARY weapon, as in he doesn't use a gun or canon at all. And as far as I know, he only used an energon axe ONCE in G1 and not at all in RiD or the Unicron Trilogy.
the R.i.D and animated series are the kiddie crap that has the autobots as a bunch of punks. bumlebee was harder than prime in animated and the r.i.d made them look like shit.
....Animated's the best thing since Beast Wars, and Bumblebee was NOWHERE near as powerful as Prime in it. It also got pretty damn dark at parts, especially things like when they killed Blurr on-screen and everything. Also, there's only one kid in Animated and she's the only kid sidekick I've liked so far (partly because of what we learn that she is later on).

of course I love Animated, it has, IMO, one of the best plots of the entire franchise. Of course Prime doesn't start out as a leader. It's a different Prime. Throughout the entire series he's working himself up to the title that the other Primes already have when we start out with em, sorta the same deal with Optimus Primal. Bee was always the "teenager" of the group in ANYTHING he's been in, and Ultra's an old war veteran, what'd u expect?
And why wouldn't Starscream be powerful? He's the air commander of the Decepticons up against a failed boot camp leader, an old veteran, a drop-out ninja student, and two bots that flunked boot camp all together that just happened to be brought together by their unfortunate pasts and the Allspark. Added to that, the Decepticons of that universe focused on weapons, while Autobots focused on tools for building. I'm guessing you probably didn't watch the entire series of Animated.
starscream was never a powerful character to begin with and yes i didn't watch the series just enough to dislike it. from the ones i forced myself to watch it was aweful and yes that was the decepticons main purpose; to gather and create weapons for conquest whereas the autobots where to protect and build.

The Allspark's been around since the Beast Era, Michael Bay just made it famous. It's been there for years and is the equivalent of the Matrix. They even blatantly show that the Allspark has become the Matrix in the final episode of Animated in its universe.
Of course I know the Matrix is the Spark of Primus, ANY REAL Transformer fan knows that. The Allspark is the equivalent of that, has been since the 90s. And Starscream is just as much a backstabbing coward in Animated as he is in G1.

That depends, all the anime Transformers were severely edited to make them light for kids when they were actually as dark if not darker than G1 in the Japanese versions. If you ask me, RiD, or rather Car Robots, was good, and so was Micron Legend, Superlinx and Galaxy Force, and I usually prefer dubbed anime.

Considering the human that beat Optimus up was made of material that can MELT METAL. It's no worse than whenever they'd have organic opponents in G1 taking going against the Autobots.
Wow, and in all incarnations they are supposed be able to withstand lava for certain periods. Real downgrade TF Animated gave them, major downgrade.
And most of the organic opponents in G1 were aliens anyway, many of which were Transformer-sized like in Webworld or at least bigger than humans who did have Transformer technology. And no human character has ever taken on a Transformer head on, not even Chumley.
...the Constructicons in G1 fell in lava and were defeated. Skorponok and Terrasaur were killed from lava. I don't remember anything other than special Transformers or ones in special circumstances that survived lava. And regardless, this acid is specifically designed to destroy metal.
And what about that hunter guy from the old cartoon? Didn't he try to hunt a Transformer or two? Besides, the humans in Animated are obviously far superior to any human antagonists in G1.

not to me it wasn't. The only real good thing about the original movie to me was the stuff with Unicron. To me the Touch was very irritating and made it seem like a music video when Prime and Megatron had their most famous fight and everything. i think this game will be awesome alsong as the music, voices, and sound effects are awesome... the 1986 music score by vince de cola was masterpiece and fit the mood, mode and concept of the transformers to a "T"!

Wow. Primes primary weapon is a freakin rifle. His melee weapon is an axe. Really, thats primes only melee weapon other than his fists. Its official that he uses axes more than swords.(live action swords)

I agree, but this trailer has one drawback if it's all I have to go on, it's the fact that Optimus is using an axe, if that's his primary weapon then this game is a fail.

Like I said....PRIMARY weapon, as in he doesn't use a gun or canon at all. And as far as I know, he only used an energon axe ONCE in G1 and not at all in RiD or the Unicron Trilogy.
So it's not his main weapon.

....Animated's the best thing since Beast Wars, and Bumblebee was NOWHERE near as powerful as Prime in it. It also got pretty damn dark at parts, especially things like when they killed Blurr on-screen and everything. Also, there's only one kid in Animated and she's the only kid sidekick I've liked so far (partly because of what we learn that she is later on).

u must be joking that animated is the next best thing after beast wars. prime gets punked out by bee, sentinal bitch slaps prime, and utlra weilds a fucking hammer. a human kid holds the secrets of a highly advanced being in a fucking key( sounds like the shitty movie here). the only thing good about animated was that it was on in the early hours where kids are getting ready for school.

um...of course I'm not fucking joking. Where does Prime get hurt by Bee? So what if Sentinel slaps Prime? And so what if Ultra is the leader? It's a DIFFERENT UNIVERSE! The only thing that stays the same in each universe is UNICRON because he's the same entity that travels between realities.
And are you blind or something? Sari obviously had the Key to Vector Sigma, it's nothing new. The only downside is they didn't have enough time to explain everything. And Animated was only ever on weekends.

of course I love Animated, it has, IMO, one of the best plots of the entire franchise. Of course Prime doesn't start out as a leader. It's a different Prime. Throughout the entire series he's working himself up to the title that the other Primes already have when we start out with em, sorta the same deal with Optimus Primal. Bee was always the "teenager" of the group in ANYTHING he's been in, and Ultra's an old war veteran, what'd u expect?

And why wouldn't Starscream be powerful? He's the air commander of the Decepticons up against a failed boot camp leader, an old veteran, a drop-out ninja student, and two bots that flunked boot camp all together that just happened to be brought together by their unfortunate pasts and the Allspark. Added to that, the Decepticons of that universe focused on weapons, while Autobots focused on tools for building. I'm guessing you probably didn't watch the entire series of Animated.

starscream was never a powerful character to begin with and yes i didn't watch the series just enough to dislike it. from the ones i forced myself to watch it was aweful and yes that was the decepticons main purpose; to gather and create weapons for conquest whereas the autobots where to protect and build.

If you were a purist of the old stuff and just watched a few episodes of Season 1 then you're not gonna get into it at all, especially if you're like most that already disliked it before even watching the show. Actually watch things like the movie of Animated and the season finales, then judge.

And to deny that the Allspark is the equivalent of the Matrix is to deny what was set up in the original G1 universe.

the allspark will never be accepted as an equivalent since it is a different entity. the matrix chooses the leader of the autobots not the autobots themselves (rodimus vs ultra). being smashed or sacrifice isn't kiddie at all but whole setup of the animated is

how is the set-up of Animated kiddie? It's just as kiddie as G1 was. And you obviously didn't pay attention to all of G1's universe if you say it never included the Allspark. Watch through the Beast Era again if you don't believe me. And Animated's universe is not at all connected to Bay's universe, it just takes qualities from all the previous universes.

the G1 universe never included an allspark or anything but the matrix. bay makes the allspark the essence of life whereas the matrix contains the power and knowledge to sustain life. it was passed down from one prime to another but only those that had the spark would grow with matrix. unicron was scared of the matrix not the allspark. the animated is an alternate reality that has no real impact to the original universe other than what bay used.

The Allspark's been around since the Beast Era, Michael Bay just made it famous. It's been there for years and is the equivalent of the Matrix. They even blatantly show that the Allspark has become the Matrix in the final episode of Animated in its universe.
Of course I know the Matrix is the Spark of Primus, ANY REAL Transformer fan knows that. The Allspark is the equivalent of that, has been since the 90s. And Starscream is just as much a backstabbing coward in Animated as he is in G1.

how is that a cop-out? They're the same damn thing! The Animated universe just built up things from a different perspective. The Allspark was stated in the old stuff to even be where all sparks go to when they pass on. The Matrix is the same thing as that, they rejoin to add back to Primus's essence.

That depends, all the anime Transformers were severely edited to make them light for kids when they were actually as dark if not darker than G1 in the Japanese versions. If you ask me, RiD, or rather Car Robots, was good, and so was Micron Legend, Superlinx and Galaxy Force, and I usually prefer dubbed anime.
But you're right, any kiddie TF is crap especially TF Animated, Prime got beat up by a HUMAN! What a weak asshole this Prime is. Not to mention, robots with sissy girl arms and legs, wtf?!

Wow, and in all incarnations they are supposed be able to withstand lava for certain periods. Real downgrade TF Animated gave them, major downgrade.
And most of the organic opponents in G1 were aliens anyway, many of which were Transformer-sized like in Webworld or at least bigger than humans who did have Transformer technology. And no human character has ever taken on a Transformer head on, not even Chumley.

...the Constructicons in G1 fell in lava and were defeated. Skorponok and Terrasaur were killed from lava. I don't remember anything other than special Transformers or ones in special circumstances that survived lava. And regardless, this acid is specifically designed to destroy metal.
And what about that hunter guy from the old cartoon? Didn't he try to hunt a Transformer or two? Besides, the humans in Animated are obviously far superior to any human antagonists in G1.

1. The story's far better than anything from G1's cartoon at least. There everything was solely just "Oh, we have a new product, let's put it on the screen and not give a crap how much or little explanation we put into their background as characters".
2. I believe you're talking about Dr. Arkeville. If that be the case then yeah, no crap Sari's more complicated than him. Actually watch the movie that starts Season 3 of Animated off before talking about her depth.

how is g1 story line not good. alien race awakens and continue their war on a planet of flesh creatures. character development is all there, a leader that would sacrifice his life to protect humans, a villain that destroys all life, a backstabbing subordinate, and humans caught inbetween. i could care less about animated but u should visit ur comic shop and look for the dreamwave titles of transformers

not to me it wasn't. The only real good thing about the original movie to me was the stuff with Unicron. To me the Touch was very irritating and made it seem like a music video when Prime and Megatron had their most famous fight and everything. Not to mention how they simply killed all the old cast off to put in a bunch of new characters to promote their new line of toys.

...how am I looking at it from a franchise point of view? ALL the shows are canon, that is pretty much a fact. The characters in the original stuff were just bland stale stereotypes to appeal to young kids.
And how are the Decepticons dumb and primitive? In things like Animated they can completely annihilate most normal Autobots.
And ALL of the shows have had casualties of war and death and stuff like that.

First off, Dr. Arkeville is an actual human villain from G1, he helped the Decepticons.
Secondly, Beast Wars is canon, it's what comes after the old cartoon continuity in the original universe, it's part of the reality that started off the franchise.
And no, Kicker could not defeat Sari. Kicker could kill any other human in Animated, but not the human character that actually matters.
