Bridge Cameras are the Future, just give them a slight bigger sensor and RAW support and you kill almost all the super expensive dslr

@julianhi2009 - Hola. La batería es suficiente para muchas horas de video y fotos, tambíen. El manual de instrucción indica que la vida es 205 min para fotos con el LCD y 120 min para video. Yo tengo una batería adicional, pero usualmente no es necesario. Puedo usar el HX100V todo el dia, sin problema. Salud!

@BinaryCafe This is the selling point in my point of view....As I mentioned can't do this with my Canon camera......SX 100IS and many other of their newer models.

@JaimeAvalosJr - Yes, you most definitely can zoom in while shooting video. Check out my samples video with zoom. The HX100V goes up to 30X while recording HD video, if using optical zoom--but you can actually switch it to digital zoom and go up to 120X. Cheers!

@atlasricardo - I created a video of roller coasters w/ slo-mo. Check it out. The HX100V doesn't have a "slow motion" mode, but if you record video at 60fps (or 50fps depending on which model you have/where you live), you have a sufficient number of frames to create a slo-mo effect using software like Sony Vegas. (El camara no tiene un modo para filmar en lenta, pero hay muchos 'frames' cuando utiliza 60fps o 50fps y es posible que utilizar software como 'Vegas' para el efecto). Gracias!

Hola amigo, la hx1 no la compre, el sonido muy sensible, distorsionaba al grabar un concierto, en la hx100 se corrigio este problema? o tambien distorciona, gracias anticipadas, tu video es de los mejores, Saludos

@eventostampico - I have not experienced distortion with either the HX1 or HX100V; however, I have not used either of the cameras at loud concerts. One of my upcoming sample videos will focus on sound. I will incorporate a section with loud music so you can check out the quality.

Is there any limitation with using this camera with a Class 6 SDHC card, or is class 10 more appropriate. I intend to use the burst-mode frequently for sports, as well as 1080p video.

great stuff. question about battery life, on a typical sporting event such as this, how many batteries do you go through?

@camajise - I probably filmed about 30-40 minutes worth of video the evening of the ball game, with fireworks afterwords. At the end of the night, the battery was still showing about 75% remaining!
