Obviously a man child, stopped growing at a young age and then hit the weights all day to make himself look so much older than he really is. Down side is, he wont grow a single inch so he will need to improve his abilities at 6'7". He will have size tho!
This kid is a prodigy! What a gift he has! I hope is gets the right people around him to help him develop that gift! He definately has a chance to be one of the future NBA greats. He has to develop his shooting game though, his inside game is great but if he brings his shooting game to the level of his inside game he is invincible!
He's really good! Keepworking hard. I play witha kid named Justin Jackson espnu has him rated 97 overall. If you get chance look him up. Mickey keep working hard hope to play against you someday!
saw him at the aau district qualifiers in dallas. They ended up losing to Team Texas, wich had the number 4 player in the nation austin grandstaff. GREAT GAME. almost skipped mine to watch it.
@bball123aa Mickey Mitchell is currently ranked #3 by Middle School Elite and Alonzo Trier is #5. The maker of the video never said he was the best in the country.
this kid is pretty good but he either isnt good on D or the camera guy didnt film much D horace is better though horace is the 2nd ranked player in the nation but is a beast
@bball123aa Mickey has only won the last 3 National Championships. Mickey and Kejuan have only played head up one time to my knowledge at 6th grade Nationals in front of 2500 people. The stat line Mickey 13pts 19 rebounds and won by 14 [the game was never close] kajuan 7pts and 6 rebounds. Mickey vs. Alonzo Tier? Played once this past season in texas, not even close the titans/mickey were up 30pts at one time, I think AT ended up with 14pts 5 of those points coming in the last 3 min. Sorry
@jpop112- Is there any connection between Mickey previously living and playing in Winter Park and Doc Rivers (coach of the Boston Celtics) and his family living and playing in Winter Park with his son Austin? I know that Mickey's dad was the quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons around the same time Doc played for the Atlanta Hawks. I wasn't sure if Mickey's father and and Doc were friends or if there was any connection there.
@jpop112 dude i was at teh game between mickey and kejuan... micket took him out.... in my mind kejaun is more athletic but when he plays someone on his level he getts Pissed and quits trying
@jpop112 Dosen't mean he is better than the two. Johnson got ranked higher even though because of his great performance against him. Alonzo trier didn't get ranked as high, but still COULD better.
he cool but the de look wack but sometime thats what happen after you kill some one but in no kids who dont even play ball for school or nothing who would eat him alive hes kinda slow but dont get me wrong he a beast just watch him when he get older if get taller its over

That is a truly awesome video! Mickey is absolutely one of the greatest basketball players we've ever seen. Mickey is the benchmark for the class of 2015 and each of us should strive to reach beyond his potential. Keep up the great work, Mickey and we look forward to playing you again next year!
Oh, and to the question how many he scored on the Thunder.... enough to lead his team to a great victory!
i knew a nigga who was under under the legs dunking in 7th grade at 5'9 so the dunks arent that impressive. im more impressed that hes trying to dunk left handed. thats some ambidextrious lebron shit.
hes 14 isnt he? hes good very good hes my age alot taller than me and better. he going 2 b good and going 2 play college ball. the texas titans could beat my schools varsity team by a lot. i hope mickey keeps on playing because hes going 2 be a superstar!
@DaBeSToFIRaWnESS, I understand that, I have seen that he is ranked higher in recent National Polls. Even so I have personally seen both of them play live in person and I have played against Mickey. In my opinion Mickey is a much better all-around player and has a huge upside.
@nbramlage My brother says he's seen both play too. He said Kejuan is more athletic and he can get to the basket easier than Mickey. Plus Kejuan always plays with kids that are much older than him(but I'm not sure if Mickey does the same) and he still dominates. But there both beasts with great potential.
@DaBeSToFIRaWnESS I would say Mickey has nearly a 37 in. vertical. He is very explosive getting to the rim off the dribble. And like coach says above Mickey plays in tournaments with the 15U Texas Titans. But Kejuan is very athletic none the less. My belief with Kejuan though is that he is not going to grow any more and that he may be close to have reaching his potential as far as size. I watched him play at Nationals in 5th grade and he looked like a Sophomore in high school. Seeing him now
@nbramlage Yea but you have to think he's only a 7th grader. I mean look, Kejuan might not grow anymore, but look how athletic he already is. He has ups, and he's only a seventh grader. I bet you in 3 years when he gets even stronger he'll be able to jump even higher and have even more skill than he does now. For example, Ryan Harrow. Harrow couldn't even dunk his sophomore year in high school. Now look at him, he's 6'0 and he has crazy ups.
@DaBeSToFIRaWnESS Continued from previous comment. Seeing him now he doesn't look to have improved too greatly over the years in size. In the long run I think Mickey is much better.
Its always nice for people to hate. Mickey is 14, yes he is a grade exception like many of the players that have played in AAU. If it will make you feel any better I did take Mickey to 8th grade nationals last year and 9th grade nationals this year in Little Rock,AK, he helped the 9th grade Texas Titans 2013 to the National Championship. Mickey is a great kid who has been blessed. Don't be a hater be a celebrater of success, Scott Pospichal, Coach of the Texas Titans
@jpop112 Man, that young guy can play, had the pleasure of watching him ball over at the 13&under nationals. He physically gifted, monster on the boards and highly skilled. I don't see a lot of people better than him and thats why he is considered the number 1 player in the class.
@jpop112 he lives in florida and you brought from your texas team and your a cheater , he was been held back and just looks dominant over ppl 2 years younger than him . Florida Family would have took your team by 15 points without that FLORIDAN ON A TEXAS TEAM THAT HAS BEEN HELD BACK .
OMG this kid is scary good if he continues to improve at the regular rate he's gonna be one of those special basketball players that doesn't come around often!!!!
