I can't help but notice whenever someone posts older commercials, commenters marvel how they're actually enjoyable to watch.
I have to say, it's because older stuff was shot on film. And yes, film really was enjoyable to look at. No matter the material or product, it was soulful. We are told all the time how digital is awesome, but the fact is, it's just plain ugly to look at. It's not alive looking and has no sense of depth. When you watch older stuff like this, the difference is obvious.
What ever happened to such great and enjoyable advertising? God I miss those days!! Now, anyone visiting the U.S. thinks we are a country of health-challenged people and super-ego macho nuts, as half the goddamn commercials are based on pharmeceuticals and medications & bulky, unattractive and boring SUVs .
going to the bakery dept. of a supermarket was a fun thing to do in the 1980s and early 1990s. now if they have pastries they are fancy, prepackaged, overpriced crap that has absorbed the smell of everything around but they give the pastry a fancy name to make it seem good.
all the commericals nowadays are either full of squealing ugly black women or else disgusting, old scags & hags advertising some medicine or medical product for people on their last legs. old people weren't disgusting in the 1980s but they are now.
During Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas I believe my donut consumption goes up by 1000% percent. DAMN THOSE DECORATIVE SPRINKLES! DAMN THEM TO THEIR DELICIOUS HELL!
Every year about this time of year I start getting pumped for Halloween and the month of October. Thats when I start watching these vids over and over haha!!!
@bushwhacked59 WOW me too! When I get excited of halloween, i start to watch horror movies, halloween commercials, buy decorations, and watch or read goosebumps...
@Horrorlord1 No kidding dude Ive been watching Friday the 13th, Ernest Scared Stupid, The Burbs, Goosebumps, E.T. on top of these commercials. I must of spent over $100 on decorations.
what is going on with Dunkin Donuts.....i live in Newton Massachusetts and I went into 2 locations and they only have about half the donut selection they used to. They do not even sell sugar raised donuts anymore. They "really" are lousy now. It's bad enough that most of the employees can't even communicate with me. I hardley ever go in a Dunkies anymore
YES!!!!!!!! I remember my friends and I getting a box of these...sitting out in the grass with hot cidar in the cool Massachusetts air in the glorious era of the 90s. There were 4 of us at first, but other neighborhood kids showed up and we were happy to share and discuss halloween. BEAUTIFUL memories!!!!
Hey I notice they shown a dunkin donuts commerical in california couple days ago i don't get it? If there's no DD stores in california how could they airing commericals of DD? Did someone frenchise a DD for california? I hope its true! Let it be true because I want some DD.
Okay the commercial is from circa 1995 or 1996. The lead character is Fred the Baker, played by actor Michael Vale. Fred the Baker was the main character of Dunkin Donut's commercials from 1982 to 1997.
Commercials nowadays are just awful. Zero creativity, office-like bland presentations, colorless, unfun ect. I miss the whacky, imaginitive, colorful and highly creative and super fun commercials of the 80's and 90's, thank god I can see them again on Youtube, along with Retro Junk and X-entertainment.
I love these halloween commercials
