I can remember this great series being broadcast in Australia some years ago, great program unfortunately it was given another season here.

Some of the performers weren't known in Australia but I subsequently became a fan of many and of course Jean Ritchie was one of those...I've long been a fan of Emmylou Harris, thanks for posting this..

Jean Ritchie is from my hometown, Viper, Kentucky. She has always been so pure with her voice singing that high lonesome sound. She's an awesome person to talk to as well. I'm so happy that someone from my hometown made it to being famous!
