@Lucasones maybe this has already been answered, but f/p's don't have ice demon but fire demon and vice versa. You might mean the summons though, Iffrit and Elquist. The I/L mage have a Fire summon because their skill Ice demon makes monsters vulnerable to fire, therefore a fire summon maximizes the damage.

everytime you use blizzard, it's wise to repot. I use one ginseng per blizzard, which means everytime I blizzard, it costs me 2100 mesos or so.

it all depends on your funding and what your end game weapon is. Some people are funded so they cap their luck at a low level while others aren't funded so they cap their at a higher level.

Blizzard- you need to do a lot of traveling from nath to ellinia. The npc you need to talk to is grendal, robertia, and that goblin guy that lives with the 3rd job instructors. Once you talk to the NPC, the goblin will ask you to fight lychantropes for a frozen heart. Once you get it, you have your skill.

Ifrit- you need anther 4th job mage to go in with to fight elemental thanatos.

You are absolutely right -FOR THE WRONG REASONS. Clerics are better at levelling but ice mages are more fun. Also i/l mages arn't too easy on your mesos either. BUT clerics are basically heal bots. Even if you go solo there are hell levels in which you'll have to party to level. Either way if you want solo go i/l if you want more party's go cleric. BTW 60% of maplers are clerics. I rather be one of the few proud i/l's

This is one of the best I/L mage videos I have seen. It clearly shows how Mages telecast to avoid damage stealthly and the advantages of freezing and using blue demon (or wtf its called) with Ifrit. I like it. His style of play is very professional =D.
