This version is way cooler than the Resident Evil I used to play. This is the Dual Shock version, right? What does Arrange mode mean? Sorry for the questions, but I'd really like to hunt this version down.

Yes it is the Dual Shock Version. Arrange is replaced from Advance from the older version. Their both the same difficulties. Just this version the graphics are slightly better, diferent audio, and camera views.

I like the music better on some parts of Director's Cut than the first version. I have to say I enjoy the piano music when the mansion is full of Hunters.

Oh the music is much improved in the Director's Cut I thought. Particularly that brooding track playing in the darkened hallway where you used the Armor Key on the green doubledoors; also a great one with lingering aura is to be heard in the save room. I just felt the original soundtrack, while good, was underdeveloped and took itself a bit to seriously.
