LOL It's great that people are able to play that fast and it really displays their technical ability. I feel however, that it lacks emotion. It's a great warm-up though and excellent for showing off your guitar chops.

Well, technical ability is often used badly. It can however add a new dimension to your soloing when used right. Cause technique can do some incredible things if it doesn't end up as total show off. Cacophony was a great example of exciting technical ability. Malmstenn is a great example of abusing it.
