If it goes up at 600 mph, it also comes down at 600 mph. I'd hate to be out walking my dogs in the field that the pumpkin comes down in. And we never did get an answer to "What's down range? "Whose house is this landing on?"

You are so right! A skydiver reaches a T.V. of around 120 mph. I wonder what the terminal velocity of a pumpkin is?

A rough sphere should reach about 175mph (calculations assume a 20-lb pumpkin), which is certainly enough to kill someone if they were hit in the head. Not an unfunny way to die though.
