ok....what about the zip folder in the sdx folder,can i leave the other kernal in there? and sorry about that.every time i tried to leave a comment it said it wasn't being posted!! lol
@richardjas4444 you can leave whatever you want to in there, and flash it whenever you want. because you have to scroll through what you want. TIP: Delete outdated old stuff... Otherwise you will have to scroll through a LOT of stuff to get to something you want to apply. and you're fine... people see comment pending approval and think that it didn't post.
@cowboyalberto You download the CL14 program. DELETE the M900 tar that it automatically puts in this folder, C:\Program Files\Samsung Electronics\SWUpgrade\Models\Binary, ignoring ANYTHING until you get to the binary folder. Make sure the folder is empty. Then download the kernel_recovery.tar and place it in the binary folder by itself, without extracting it or touching it. it should be the only thing in that folder. Then run swupgrade and follow all the on screen directions and you are rooted!

And if you watch my newest Android video, I go to stock, root, and then apply Froyo AND ext4 in one video. it's to easy! just install the swupgrade, delete the m900 tar, add the kernel_recovery.tar, run the program, TWO minutes later, your phone is rooted and rebooting!
When I tried to do this it kicked me into recovery and then wouldn't go any further. Not sure what I did wrong! I ended up having to flash it again. Any insight? I used vampirefo if that matters.
@julieisbest you just flash stock and then after the freaking sprint id crap wants you to install an ID, just reboot to recovery, chose WIPE then go back immediately and apply the update.zip. The file size is fine, I promise
I just downloaded version 2.3 of this ROM and it's only 60.4 MB. What gives? The first time I tried to do this it kicked me right into regular recovery mode so I must be doing something wrong as far as getting the info on the SD card is concerned but I was worried that my version of the ROM wasn't current so I downloaded it again. The size disparity is confusing as hell. Help!

Thanks to jonluna246, he informed me there was FROYO for the Transform. It works! Data, and calls work! It's awesome! I am transferring the videos to my computer now!
i would try it but i really dont feel like messing it up or something and having to flash back to stock a gagillion times like i normally end up doing haha
