  • Meh I'm 22 and already have 3 perfect games in my life 2 in ybc and 1 this year

  • im 14 and i have an average of 203 (:

  • I swear I've played a tourny at these lanes before, where is this??

  • @thecardman137 hey where u bowl I average a 287 in 5 pin at 22 i won tons of tourneys and a crap load of money in ybc

  • On November 19, 2011 will mark the 50th anniversary of Thomas F. Ryan's death this year.

  • Canadian Bowling FTW

  • hey what do you average i average 192 at the age of 13

  • What bowling alley is that?

  • Single pin tangles always amuse me.

whoever is throwing the dark balls sure does like the left side of the pocket. nice consistent throwing.

  • Please sign my petition to help get 5 pin bowling in Massachusetts someday. A Petition to get 5-Pin Bowling in Massachusetts: petitiononline(dot)com/5pinmass/petition(dot)html

  • I have a picture of Thomas F. Ryan on my wall in my apartment. And I also have the red glass 5 pin 100 anniversary ball with Ryan's face on it on my kitchen table, that I bought from Bowling Sales of Canada. I also have a picture of Justin White, posing with John J. Jack Monsey on my wall too.

  • If anybody in Massachusetts, and New England thinks that 5 pin bowling should be walled from this state, and this region. Thinking that candlepins are better, I totally disagree! And they're all bananas!! No type of bowling is better than any other type of bowling. Everybody in the world are invited to bowl all types of bowling. No matter what human culture you are, or where you live.

  • Having all sorts of different bowling under one roof would be awesome. I'd like to do that too but 120 lanes would be enormous. Its good to dream big though.

  • If I was rich, I would establish a giant bowling alley of my very own here in Eastern Massachusetts. And would install all of these 6 types of bowling in it in 120 lanes. 20 lanes of each of these 6 types of bowling. And I would even try to put some British 9-pin skittle lanes in my alley too. And I am not prejudice of any type of bowling at all. Not even Bocce.

  • I'm working on it here in Alberta....Ten years time unless I win some lottery ;-)

I've already got a partner, but we'll need investors! Interested? send me a message. (theres alot more then "6" types of bowling...however I had forgotten about British 9-pin

  • @sdrawkcab190 hey im totally interested in being a partner ive got tons of money that i can help put in ur buisness

  • Long live 5-pin, ten pin, candlepin, duckpin, rubberband duckpin, Kegel 9-pin, and British 9-pin skittle bowling!! They're all my favorite types of bowling. And I want to bowl all of them. And I will never turn any of them down. Not even Ten Pins. Thomas F. Ryan turned down ten pins for 5-pins back in 1909. But he was entitled to his opinion. My ten pin bowling is improving now, and I'm making less gutter balls in it now. I even have bumper stickers of all these types of bowling on my car now.

  • It's great to see more 5 pin bowling videos. We need more of them, as 5 pin is superior to 10 pin, but it is not promoted nearly enough. Keep up the good work, and I hope to be able to post some videos of my own soon.

  • it's not "superior" to tenpin (people argue that with candlepin and duckpin too), it's just different (and somewhat harder). i live in Canada but i still bowl tenpin simply because i happened to start with it; it's just personal preference and accessibility.

  • indeed, my family is well known in southern ontario...not sure if ur from there but if u r u have probably heard of us (Pike family), my brother was a national champion in the open on the mixed team in 2008, and i went to the 4 steps singles nationals in 2006

  • from what I know:

    10 pin = technique

    5 pin = accuracy

    duck pin = technique

    candle pin = accuracy

Considering duck pin and cnadle pin the "level 2" of bowling.

  • To be honest, im not 100% sure (this isnt my home center)

but i would asume they're a standard string setter

  • I believe those are Schmid pinsetters. They're the most common.

  • What type of string setters are u using?

I'm sure LL in Vernon, BC got the same.
