  • i've been around people that can drink that much so that can be real

  • Chris couldn't handle the fame

  • song at 7:45?

  • WHERE ARE THEY NOW? HOW MANY OF THEM ARE STILL ALIVE? WE KNOW ABOUT OZZY, STEVEN TYLER, JOE PERRY, RIKI FROM THE CATHOUSE-BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL OF THE OTHERS??? Y'ALL SHOULD DO A SPECIAL, "WHERE ARE THEY NOW?". I'M IN THE DANCE CONTEST IN THE RED DRESS ON THE DANCE FLOOR... I'M NOW CLEAN & SOBER...

  • He just wasted half a bottle of vodka on his face.

  • CC talkin about not needing drugs with a head full of blow. awesome!!

  • I Know Chris Very Well. Known Him For Years,.He's Always Looked Like a Crazy Biker, But I Swear He's A Very Well Mannered Gentleman. This is not a Joke. Chris if you ever do see this, Thanks For Being So Cool Thru-Out The Years!,..

  • @bongnbud yeah I can tell!

  • You can tell he's not faking it. Unfortunately I could relate. I'm pretty much an alcoholic myself and I know that when people bring up my drinking while I'm drunk my only defense (in my drunk and stubborn mind) is to drink even more and say "If you want me to act like a fucking drunk I'll show you a fucking drunk!" When you add a camera to that it's probably even worse.

  • FAKE. He's playing for the camera (as we all know). GREAT STUFF THOUGH.

  • song at 08:00 !?!

  • He did make a fool of himself and showed his Mom no respect,a spoiled little fuck!

  • Poor Chris Holmes' mother. Chris doesn't show her no damn respect... Made a fool of himself in this interview.

  • that shit was not fair how that bitch was taking advantage of chris exploiting him n shit

  • Chris isnt actually like that hes jsut acting and the vodka is just pool water.

  • @xi0wnallx yeah no it wasnt pool water or normal water it was vodca !

    look it up

  • @dusted04 Seriously was it really Vodka??

  • @TheE1961 yes there is another interview where he said he as partying all day and the film crew rang up and said they were coming over that day for the interview instead of the following day !

    so he was really wasted

  • @dusted04 Thanx for the info.

  • @TheE1961 no probs .. its not that bad considering he poors 3 qtrs of it on his face instead of in his mouth !

  • @dusted04 Ya i caught that, takes maybe a swig out of each bottle,he knew what he was doing.

  • The dude with the trucker cap spends the whole movie trying to convince everyone he's a badass.

  • Gene talking about Ace and Peter at 6:50

  • nikki was with blackie not holmes

  • poor mom.

  • no wonder nikki sixx left these posers.

  • Nope, it stings no matter how bombed you are. And I don't deny that he was trollied off his ass, but the "vodka" in the bottle was water.

  • @Morgethein yeah right, and then you'll have kids .... see how the rebel lifestyle works out for you then ...

  • .to get totally drunk and act like that in front of your mother, thats pretty pathetic. wonder what she was thinking...

  • Pffft, the vodka he was drinking was water. Try having vodka splash in your face and not wince in stinging pain.

  • @rulegm he's so drunk he probably wouldn't wince if a truck hit him

  • @rulegm If you're wasted like him, yea try it out and you won't feel a thing;)

  • Kiss and Alice Cooper had/have it right about drugs. I think this old man is a clown, freaking clown shoes.

  • A 9-5 job is easy. Any rock star or failing ex rock star can handle it. The true question is what TYPE of 9-5 can they NOT handle. I worked for a global advertising agency for 3 years in Manhattan and got kicked around, harassed and was a slave for no money. Finance and big business is tough... these guys wouldn't be able to do it.

  • 1:48 I'm a happy camper... hehaawww...

  • wasp without chis is like fish without chips

  • lots a hot chicks in that clip... ah the good ol days

  • Party on, Chris. I'm a full blown alkie too!!! Rock on!!! What a bunch of crap, that was water, not vodka...

  • Party on, Chris. I'm a full blown alkie too!!! Rock on!!!

  • @alfredsneade wow your cool man u fuckin loser

  • ahhhhhhhhhhh....stop wasting that vodka

  • I think part with Chris is sad... Not pathetic sad at all, just sad... I hate when people look down on alcoholics or drug addicts. I don't take drugs ever and never have because it was never interesting to me, but at the same time I don't think it's fair to demean people who have a problem like that. I never found it hard to say no. The only time say something to people who do drugs is when they call people pussies for not doing them. Like they're afraid of drugs or some stupid shit. Get real.

  • Well slayer basically said that they grew up on hardcore punk rock like TSOL, circle jerks, minor threat, agent orange, exploited, gbh, etc.

So since most of those bands started in either 79 or 80, they predated venom by an entire year.

Go listen to "abolish govt" by tsol from 1980,. slayer covered them.

  • we're stuck in a fascist money system. if it was old vikings days, we would just build our houses and fuck our women, trade, barter etc.

  • "Look at my mom, shit"!

  • G.L..A.M =Gay Ass Looking Men!

  • @joeybeck dipshit

  • Sure maybe by today's "categorization standards" MOST glam would be considered "hard rock". Then again i don't really care for today's standards any more than i do for today's new artists. By recent categorization ideals, Elvis Presley: The king of ROCK n roll And also the Beatles would be (and are in some ppl's opinions) Pop music????? HUH??? The 2 most influential artists in ROCK!!! history...considered Pop???? So much for any respect for today's categorization of music!!!!

  • @80sGlamMetalFan -----Elvis Presley and the Beatles were pop music, back in the day, the same as Bach or Vivaldi in their time. But musically, they really were not pop artists, but you don't have to agree with what these people are saying.

  • @Alex11710 i don't agree with them it's just annoying tho. Anyways Whether glam is to be considered hard rock or metal... I think it's metal but that's just me. you dont agree That's allright i just think arguing about it is a waste of time cuz it seems unlikely anything either person says is gonna change what the other one thinks.Another reason i dont really care to keep the argument going is because metal or hard rock, MOST glam is still good. to me anyway

Looked stupid but still good music

  • @80sGlamMetalFan --The hard rock/metal sort of debate only really goes as far as what you think, because it's all based on "facts" that are not very officially defined. I think that '80s glam rock is actually closer to pop than Metal, but you're not any more right than I am. I don't find it to be good music, most of the time, But I agree that it looked stupid.

  • @Alex11710 then i guess the only thing we agree on is that glam bands looked stupid Glam may not be metal to some ppl, but the lowest i'd go would be hard rock. Definitely not pop. It's too rock to be pop (if that makes any sense). When i think of pop music, i think music that's mostly keyboards. With rarely any real instruments used. Unless u mean pop, as in short for popular, which is basically all the term pop (in music) originally meant anyways.Pop is Miley Cyrus

    NOT Motley Crue, Ratt, etc.

  • @80sGlamMetalFan -----I'd call it pop, but that's because of how the structure of the music is usually set up, and it's usually not referred to as being "pop", because of the hard rock elements that are there, but I don't think of it usually as being fully hard rock or pop.

I meant pop (in music), but it was also considered popular music at the time.

  • @Alex11710 again, that's ur opinion and your welcome to it. I just don't agree. while i may very well be one of few people that still consider most glam to be metal.Oh well i guess LOL Whether i'm right or wrong To me W.A.S.P., Motley Crue, Ratt, Dokken, Twisted Sister are metal. However, to me, Most of the bands that debuted From 1986- the end of the era, not so much so, By then Glam did get "sugarcoated" Poison, Winger Warrant, etc...Hard Rock or maybe even just rock But definitely not Metal.

  • @Alex11710 You could even possibly say that's why alot of people break the glam genre into 2 waves. 1st 1981-1984 or 85. And the 2nd wave 1986 - the end.

The first wave was metal. The 2nd one not so much so. But then again, perhaps that's just my opinion. The success of the early bands definitely was a disaster for the scene's 2nd wave. Newer bands Did play more aor oriented music. But again i'm also willing to admit this is just my opinion some may agree some not. While others could care less

  • @80sGlamMetalFan ----I've never heard that, but it makes sense, somewhat. I guess I'd break the two cateogories into groups like 1971-1978 with groups like Aerosmith and David Bowie, which I do actually enjoy, and the second wave would be 1981-1992 starting with Motley Crue, Ratt, and Dokken, which I don't care for. I'd put most of the bands from both "waves" into a sort of "hard rock cateogory". And yes, most people don't care. Most of the people who are aware of it find it to be a joke.

  • I always thought billy idol, warrant, guns n roses and poison had a lot of talent.

not so much the other bands. chris holmes was a great guitar player though

  • @80sGlamMetalFan This is a very poignant analogy. I think you totally get it. Having lived through this era myself, your statement is more than accurate. Well done for getting me to not only think but reflect differently on my youth..Thanks

  • I'd say the 2nd wave of billy idol, warrant-down boys, cherry pie, poison-party rock, guns n roses-hard rock with some punk influence was just hard party rock with new wave, punk and metal influence all in one.

  • party rock.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork ----Exactly. That's all it was.

  • What song at 7:46? Been looking around for awhile, can't seem to find it.

  • 5:53, dude, if you'd ever heard Black Sabbath, Vol. 4, you'd never stand for playing glam metal.

  • @Alex11710 you're opinion dude, I've heard that album and ALL othe Black Sabbath albums as well. and i still listen to glam metal too so....

  • @Alex11710 dude diff kinds of metal and rock exist to convey different messages I mean the ozzy era sabbath was great for its dark and foreboding sound shit I'm an avid Black Metal fan(the real shit not like cradle of filth) so ya know I love really dark music but that doesn't matter Glam metal still kicks ass it's just about something completely different and I'd prefer not to be listening to dark stuff 24-7 glam metal is just fun

  • @mantuoir --The problem I have with glam "metal" is that it does not conform to the same sort of specific concepts as "true metal". Try and compare any of the "glam" bands to some of the traditional metal bands and figures as portrayed in the film. Would you really call Poison "metal" when they cut to a clip of Lemmy, Ozzy, or Dave Mustaine? Listen to it if you want, but don't even try to call it "metal".

  • @Alex11710 Poison perhaps not, But the problem with your comment is u chose the most poppy glam band possible to stereotype the entire genre? Poison were a good band yes, bul.........Anyway my point is it doesn't matter what they look like. It's the music.. Guitars, bass, drums. The "heaviness" of them that makes the difference. Not clothes and fashion...True Metal?...Metal has No Rules, It's about breaking the rules. Not "conforming" to some moronic ideals.

so in that regard GLAM IS METAL.

  • @MetalRockNPop ----Metal does have rules. Lenient rules, but still, bending them too far is not necessarily a bad thing, however it does, in fact make it "not metal".

  • @Alex11710 OK, maybe so BUT, what you look like isn't part of that. Twisted Sister, R U gonna say they aren't metal? I agree that the glam bands looked stupid. But to the ppl that keep saying guys aren't supposed to wear make-up need i remind ya that according to those same ol ideals you refer to in saying that, Guys aren't supposed to have long hair AT ALL. Which unfortunately includes thrash metal too. AGAIN>MUSIC>NOT LOOKS>NOT LYRICS>MUSIC is what makes the difference between metal or not!!

  • @MetalRockNPop ----I did not say anything about what any of the bands looked like. And I would absolutely say that Twisted Sister is not metal. They were a hard rock band, stylistically and structurally. And it's very manly to have long hair. Not girly hairsprayed, teased-up hair, but long hair. The same can not be said of wearing makeup. Either way, I only addressed the content of the glam bands music, I did not say anything about their "image".

  • @Alex11710 you're right, i've been re-reading your comments and you didn't say some the things ive been talking about. SORRY. But i still disagree We're Not Gonna Take It, I Wanna Rock, Etc are Metal songs. Also, Long hair, Manly or not depends on who u ask. Try to get certain jobs with long hair. besides i agree glam bands looked stupid. Also I'M NOT TRYIN 2 INSULT U when i say that...it just sounds to me like ur excusing long hair cuz most thrash bands also had it too. Just without spray.

  • @MetalRockNPop I agree with what you said about the music... guitars, bass drums matter when deciphering what is metal and what is not. Look at Rainbow. That is a fruity name but they were metal.

  • Hes sad. I bet thats hard for his mother

  • Chris holmes isn't dead by the way..

  • Chris holmes is the only true to earth person on this whole video. The rest are just a bunch of pretty boys.

  • God, these guys were so corny. I like sex as much as the next guy but they act like they are 13 year old's get their first gimps at a playboy. Haven't they ever heard of playing it cool?

  • @Flipper79able u miss the point it seems...they wanted to make the most

sexually offensive songs they could, why else would they debut with a song like Animal (Fuck like a beast). "7th grade rock" sure possibly, it all depends on how you look at it i guess. But it was still great headbanging, heavy metal music at it's raunchiest.

  • @MetalRockNPop Believe me, I didn't miss the point. It would be impossible for anyone over the age of 15 to miss the point. I like songs about sex but I think their songs have a serious lack of imagination. Like I said..... it's okay when your 15, but after awhile, its nice to hear a song about something new to stimulate your imagination.

  • @Flipper79able true, it did get old after the first few albums. But even they realized that, haven't ya noticed from headless children (1989) and beyond, Rarely a sex song on the entire album. Blackie himself got sick of the overly sexual lyrics too. As for me i like last command & electric circus albums but i also like wasps more recent albums too. As i said, and most fans already know. They "grew Up" & wrote about other things from 1989 on. It Just seems funny some people never mention that??

  • I find it kind of fucked that Chirs is just chugging it and his mom is just smiling away.

  • @Ishykawa the rumor is that its water and its a joke.

  • it was later revealed that the bottles chris had were filled with water. him and randy piper who was also in W.A.S.P filled the bottles up before penelope got there to do the interview.

  • Compare this with the Dave Mustaine segment and see why Dave survived : )

  • dave became stale.

  • ozzyyyyyyyy <3333333333333

  • Sad guy. You have to feel sorry for his mother in that interview.

  • why? she was probably an enabler.

  • Chris died a while back..... the alcohol did him in ...organ failure i think..(

  • ajjs02...actually Chris Holmes is still alive, you must be thinkin of some one else or something!!!!

  • @Metal80s19871991 Probably thinkin of Robbin Crosby of Ratt

  • @ajjs02 Hes still alive hes not dead

  • Ya I see that.....Must just be my brain cells that have passed...lmfao... ... Tough genes in that dude.... Tall as mofo...LOL... Ah the good ol' days...^_^..thanks guys..it's nice to know he's still tickin' along..^_^

  • don't you just love those oneliners?

Alice Cooper: I felt that I was probably much more effective alive than when I was dead. - I wouldn't put that to a vote..

  • love the rockstars , they do rock against drugs charities and stuff then use the money to get high..or something like that..love dice lol if anyone got that reference

  • Chris Holmes is cooler than slash.

  • HAHAHAHAHA! Anyone who thinks these assholes of the glam scene are cool. Well, that's pretty sad!

  • Indeed. That poolscene was sad.

  • neoshaolin1...any one of the 80's L,.A Glam Metal band members are cooler than you'll ever be....PIECE O SMELLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!

What's "sad" is that you think YOU'RE cool!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, you can't be older then 12 to say something like that. hahahaha

  • chris holmes is a piece of shit, he once said "niggers shouldn't play guitar" referring to slash. chris holmes is a stupid cunt, where is he now? fucking nowhere, slash is still producing platinum records

  • yeah man!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dandemon1989 i wonder if holmes knows "niggers" invented guitars in 1886

  • @paulandj Strings intruments were used in the middle ages in Europe and their heritage can be traced back even farther. Not to desrespect you but, educate yourself a little, even just a little, and you won't be as ignorant (ignarance being a lack of knowledge on a subject, not a bash against you)

  • @paulandj Strings intruments were used in the middle ages in Europe and their heritage can be traced back even farther. Not to desrespect you but, educate yourself a little, even just a little, and you won't be as ignorant (ignarance being a lack of knowledge on a subject, not a bash against you)

  • @zer0dahero yea i kno i took art appreaciation, music appreciation and all that, but im talking about modern day guitars not a string bound together by sticks "their heritage can be traced back even farther". im sure its traced back to africa as well even further we are very musical people and said to be some of the first people on earth regardless of what "white america" (not bashing you either obviously or i wouldnt be watching this documentary about these great musicians) teaches us.

  • @paulandj Its always disappointing when people interject some form of racism. Using terms like "niggers" or "white america" as you have done. One can never be sure of the intent or honesty of poeople who do that. Its as if what ever they say afterwards is of no value.

  • @zer0dahero lol lke i said i didnt mean to offend you and if i did, i apoligize i just couldn't think of a better word, but if i was white i would enjoy the term white america this is your country (now) obama is just a puppet appointed to keep black people happy, im just glad i didnt have to get into sum big drama filled pointless argument, thanks for challenging my statement with maturity.

  • @paulandj you didn't offend me. Maybe I over reacted about it.

  • actually you were too nice to his lying ass.

  • blacks did NOT invent the guitar. a crude form of it was invented by an italian thousands of years ago and similar things were created by celts and north germanics.

north africa isn't even a traditionally black area. it originally had berbers and fair skinned peoples(before arabs).

sub saharan africa is where the black africans come from.

and las time i checked, leo fender and less paul were the first to help make the hollow and solid body guitars. two white men.

    case closed

  • slash wasn't black. he is 1/4 jewish. and 3/4 caucasoid. so crhis calling him a nigger is just drunken comedy.

  • slash is 1/4 semetic + 3/4 european, chris just talked some shit when he was drunk + its funny. he said similar shit to randy rhoads.

slash faded into nothing after axl dumped his ass. axl was gnr anyway. chris plays today in all star bands..

chris w a better lead singer + mainstream promotion(a lot of jews at the major labels didn't like the name wasp) wasp would have been huge.

but there's no doubt chris is a better guitar player than slash. slash just copied steve jones, + rikk agnew.

  • @dandemon1989

chris "fucking asshole" holmes lol. listen to brian posehn's skit about him

  • @taterfamine "grow some tits!" lmao

  • Whats the song at 7:50?

  • LOL one of the "judges"yelled out MAKE ME CUM!!!

  • I read that Chris and some friend filled vodka bottles up with water for that interview,... either way he's completely toasted in that interview, legend! I remember watching this first time round, god it takes me back!

  • @paulheathcote1974 he was drunk, but the bottles had water in them. the produces and chris said so.

  • 5:50 wow that's actually a very smart observation. Never would have guessed.

  • Chris holmes is NOT dead, biggest load of shit i've ever heard. I agree with some of the posters here.. WASP and Chris holmes are underrated.. he is one hell of a guitar player.

  • that old man is so fucking creepy

  • WTF are you talking about?

the old man is Living The Dream

  • i'm a happy camper..huh haaa

  • . . . let's try some tea as Jack Daniel's next time!

  • Nice bottle of water over the head. Very clever.

  • wtf all the thrashers make fun of Chris Holmes for being drunk and drinking too much

    what do they drink milk?

  • @RockenDokkenlover91 ---No, they make fun of him because he's dumb.

  • what was the betty ford clinic like ? BORING ahahahaha fuckin ozzy

  • i wanna know too!!

  • who the fuck is the flock of seagulls motherfucker in front of the stained glass window? wtf

  • Hmmmmmm.historically drugs and rock and roll have been a tried and true marriage.

  • Its really sad to see Chris Holmes all fucked up! He was such, and am sure still is, a great guitar player!

  • Actually, I think he's dead....

  • FUCK nu metal

  • fuck it to hell!

  • lol @ the guy in the pool

    was he farting?

  • I'm the second person to ask what song is playing at 7:45. Does nobody know??

  • linkin park, disturbed n slipknot are just as fake as these bands, real thrash is still around its just not on the radio, pretty much like its always been, those mall metal bands are still just that

  • I call it Hot Topic metal. Slipknot, killswitch engage etc. Radio freindly bands arent metal. Yeah im only 26 but bands like Slayer, Manowar, Death Angel Metallica (pre- Load) Motorhead etc were bands that didn't cater to trends and only cared about the fans

  • real thrash?

are u sayin slipknot is tryin to be thrash?

    dude its nu metal

  • W.A.S.P. were an awesome band. Blackie Lawless was underatted as a singer and Chris holmes was a great guitarist.

  • what is the song at 7:45

  • Man their were a lot of fat chicks into Glam Metal,I bet Chubby Chasers were fucking stoked!!!

  • tons of fit, hot chicks too.

  • this is why THRASH IS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL SUB GENRE OF METAL OF THE 80's and 90's not GLAM/HAIR look at slipknot, disturbed, godsmack, linkin park, korn ect do any of them talk about being big poison or motley crew fans growing up i havent heard any of them say that now as for metallica, slayer pantera ect thats a big yes

  • What are you talking about? What are you trying to prove here? Who cares?

  • Um no Motley Crue is way different from Poison first of all && Motley Crue stopped being glam after Theatre Of Pain because alot of people were copying that glam/hair look so they just started wearing leather black && dressing as dirty && sleazy as they could ever be in the Girls, Feelgood, && Decade Of Decadence era so get the facts straight. Also Godsmack & The Crue have been touring together with Motley. They rock! They survived the 90's just like Ozzy Pantera Slayer & Metallica!

  • m.c. sucks. never liked them with sissy vince neils voice.

the best stuff in the 80s was Billy Idol, D.I. etc.

  • But all of those nu metal bands are a bit like motley crue and shit beacuse they dont talk about it but they get laid all the time with girls and shit beacuse they are also like rap artist

  • the nu metal bands don't get laid and are not the monsters that the 80s hard rock bands are and shit-hop is fucking dead. sales are down 45% since 2004. google it if you don't believe me.

the only thing keeping it alive is clear channel radio and cbs owned lame ass eMpTy-V.

otherwise I see chicks dancing to 80s nights at clubs, as well as electrowave and shit like that.

  • damn he was smashed.

  • "We have muff", haha, that was pretty funny.

  • sea agua o vodka hay ke ser bien imbecil para dar esa imagen lastimera de si mismo y kompletar en tan poko tiempo tremendo kakanal de idioteces dichas para la posteridad. bastante taradito en el hair metal, no???

  • Those bottles were filled with water. The joke was on us for buying that shit. Chris and his buddy filled like 4 vodka bottles with water.

  • Wow.

  • Now those chicks are wearing sexy rocker granny panties.

  • Who IS this Ass-clown?? Mom must be proud. Keep up with the vodka.

  • How dare you bash a Metal trail blazer like Chris Holmes! If you are a Metal fan, which I doubt! You would reconize a true master! The Man had a Drinking problem and this is sad! Long live W.A.S.P

  • Whatever. WASP was OK, but not what I would call groundbreaking. That was left to the real bands, Anthrax, Metallica, Slayer, Maiden and so on. Keepin' it real.

  • and sabbath

  • slayers wasn't groundbreaking, neither was metallica or anthrax. they all ripped off TSOL, adolescents, D.I., the vandals, gbh, exploited, etc

  • FUCK YOU HE IS A LEGEND BITCH

  • meter flicker Chris

  • That chick in the red @ 9:34 looks like an idiot. She can't even slide across the floor smoothly.

  • what song is playing in the strip contest????

  • yeah vodka is like rubbing alcohol on your skin
