Most poor people (althoug there are exceptions) are the equivalent of obese people & drug addicts - they complain, complain, and blame others for their positions in life; I think mostly everyone has the intelligence to get out of the hole if they really want to. Besides, poverty is an inherent factor in a capitalist society like the US.

If he would get his High School Diploma, and stop talking like a hillbillie, then he could probably get a better paying job? He is not lazy, but he does not want to get the wrong kind of job. Get an apartment which is cheaper then $35 a day. Not to smart with the finances. I have crappy credit and still got an apartment. I feel sorry for people like that, but there is something they can do.

Apartments require security deposits, sometimes several hundred dollars worth. Where is he supposed to stay until he can save up enough money for the security deposit, on the streets? That's why he rents out a hotel room daily.
Because you have to have things like a birth cert, photo id, soc sec card, etc...But, if he wasn't unstable, he would probably have all of those things. All you have to do is go to the offices and get a second copy.
