First off genius, nobody said Communism was a religion. He said Buddhism was good & it enlightened him, but it had nothing towards building and maintaining society and its social aspects.The Quran has a few verses that call the devil lewd and evil (24:31) or says that alcohol & gambling are the work of the Devil (5:90) & we should seek refuge from him. I don't see why believing in unproven causes, would be speciffically respectable. Most likely an appeal on respect is the last resort of religions, since they don't stand a chance in a proper discussion, based upon rationality and reason.
