Zencaper will not lead you astray, people! You see,Roger & Dwayne are my first cousins and Dwayne was 8 years old or maybe even younger when he first picked up a fiddle.
Just a little note Dwayne was not trained by Stan Chapman.....
He had all he need at home, trust me.
Classical was a short period of time in music, not a style. Dwayne could easily have studied if he had wanted, but he does like some of the classic feel, so get over the classical thing people.
Dwayne is my cousin as well. These are his Brothers playing with him.Taped at Celtic Colours in St.Peters.This was a tribute to there Dad(Gordon Cote).Dwayne is not classicly trained.Self trained would be more like it.Along with training from his Dad.Love U bunches Dwayne.
I met Dwayne at St. Annes about 10 years ago. I thought that he was the best fiddler in Cape Breton....I still think that, but maybe he is even better now!
these performances by dwayne are what made me want to play the fiddle...and i thank him so much every time i play the fiddle he made me :) god bless you wonderful man
So lucky to be a part of this family!!

And the names of these tunes?
Nice piping ornamentation!
Also of note...unlike most CB fiddlers, he certainly plays in 3rd or higher position a lot. I wonder about what his training is?
