this is the prequel of dead space 1, the graphics is not so great in ds 1, ds 2 improved so much and this... is just not that good, and the story is somewhere on the ground not in space so it makes sense, the prequel to dead space

Looks alright, though personally I think first person view is better for any apocalyptic game. You really feel the gravity of it all when you're seeing it through one pair of eyes, and not through the eyes of the little demon conscience that belongs to the main character.

Silent Hill was good too. But some of them are total bulsh*** (Resident Evil). The first ones were fine but since the 3rd release they changed everything. @BrunoDzogovik Dead Space was good, but it's not a true horror game sadly...it's more of a third person shooter in dark rooms, all fear it attempts to do are jump scares that get boring after the million time they have done it, not that the game is bad though, but it's not a horror game in my opinion
@BrunoDzogovik I think the main problem that many people don't know the diffirence between horro build up and jump scares, I have seen some people who said that Halo was scary because it had "aliens"...that's probably because they possibly never played a true and unforgiving horror games like in the PS1 era, so they think Dead Space is truely scary

You could also compare it to Silent Hill 5, which used exactly the same mechanics as deadspace, and yea I guess Resident Evil 4-5, maybe even Darksector too, but that just wasn't a very good game. Fun for 10 minutes, but never grips you like a Silent Hill story.
Theres probably no indy game in existence that has good voice talent. Use the early big budget commercial games Resident Evi 1, or the classic Deus Ex as an example. Both those games had TERRIBLE voice acting, yet they had thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars or yen to spend on their development. Also, Oblivion, fucking HORRIBLE voice acting, so unless an indy team has a lot of mates with great voices, you can expect shitty, but funny voices
Check out Hawken, its no horror game, but its another indie game, and it looks amazing IMO. Makes a lot of big budget commercial games look tame as hell! Its like a mech-fps

Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, Silent Hill 5, Deadspace 1, Deadspace 2, Darksector. Shitload of games are using this formula, personally I like the over-the-shoulder thing. I first saw it in Deadspace and thought it was shit, but then it started growing on me, and I realised why a lot of horror games are using it. Claustrophobia + Panic. I think RE4 was the first game to use this formula, not Gears of War like a lot of people say.
No wonder they tried to do this "Afterfall Insanity will be $1 if it hits 10 million pre-orders" thing, the game is atrocious. Animation and control system are total crap. Despite having the UE 3.0 engine, this game feels worse than most of the action games from 90s.

Games alot better than the trailer, the maps a quite detailed, the world art is the best part , not a game of the year but still fun one to run thru..
This trailer is terrible. Why do people insist in putting so many cuts into it? Just show some solid gameplay and if people like what they see they might buy it. It's not rocket science.
After witnessing the majesty of Hawken, which looks better than 80% of current commercial games, budget is no longer an excuse. If 4-5 guys can make a game like that, on free software, then everyone should aspire to make their shit look as good as that, cos the means are there, and they're freely available.
I'll probably enjoy this game as well as I enjoyed dead space. We don't give a fuck if both games looks about the same

@Beleli99 Not really, if you were to compare it I'd say more like Dead Space, but as one of the top comment states, it's an Indie, and I'd have to say the game is a mix of Dead Space and Silent Hill. Game looks pretty good for a pretty low udget game and for 34 bucks its fine ^^

Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, Silent Hill 5, Deadspace 1, Deadspace 2, Darksector. Shitload of games are using this formula, personally I like the over-the-shoulder thing. I first saw it in Deadspace and thought it was shit, but then it started growing on me, and I realised why a lot of horror games are using it. Claustrophobia + Panic. I think RE4 was the first game to use this formula, not Gears of War like a lot of people say.

No wonder they tried to do this "Afterfall Insanity will be $1 if it hits 10 million pre-orders" thing, the game is atrocious. Animation and control system are total crap. Despite having the UE 3.0 engine, this game feels worse than most of the action games from 90s.
