Those things are heroes. An all-in-one super patapon. :) They wear masks to enhance there powers. Like what meden said "A funny-looking guy will be met in this place. This is a destined meeting"

How to get HERO: (spoiler alert)

You battle a dodonga for the mater sprout (like a cap of mater, the tree of life) then you see HERO, when the seals are broken, he throws a rock at dodonga and PWNed him at the head. Then you get hero. :)

I've played a mission in patapon 2 english ver. where LORD gong (yeh, his now the zigoton lord) helps you to defeat the karmens (your new enemy, oh and yeh, they suck) he attacks 4 beats late but his attack is the small tornado that sends karmens flying. luv it

If you have never played the game, then stop saying its very bad, I have already played the demo and its like the same or much better than the frist one, just get used to the new content and you will like it at the end :P

those are called heroes the old patapon units still exist they all look like this because its a multiplayer game where there are only hero units

She sounds funny because she`s doing simultaneous interpretation. How did you miss that?

Her English is probably perfect, but simultaneous 日本語 to English translation is notoriously difficult. Plus, this is at the Tokyo game show, so the audience are not primarily English speakers. So its not an English review, its a Japanese review being translated.
