  • i just noticed ..hispanics that were born here in the states actually speak their native tongue. how come most filipinos cant?

  • @makumasen because a lot of 1st generation hispanic kids parents speak spanish at home only. Filipino families were taught to automatically assimilate so their parents would speak to them in English at home. Back in the 70's there wasn't bi-lingual studies for Filipinos. Teachers would tell parents that they would have to speak english at home to ensure that kids would learn english instead of taglish. This is only an opinion, things began to change in the 80's with ESL.

  • @PacificRimVideoPress Maybe your right, it just Filipinos need to adapt. But forgetting their own language even in there own home was too much. The parents are to blame for this. So dissappointing to hear them like that, having a hard time to speak a tagalog words or sentence. But Thank God the 3rd one was still a Pinoy. MAGPAKATOTOO KAYO, FILIPINO PARIN TAYO KAHIT SAN PA TAYO MAKARATING. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! ^_^
