Once we learn enough about how the brain works, we will most likely also have the means to create technology which will possess the exact same capabilities humans do, except perhaps more and better ones, with less downsides. If by that you believe I'm presenting a "revolting reaction" to the robots, you're mistaken. I'm unimpressed with the robots, if there's a fancy pseudo scientific denominator for that. What I do find more troublesome is some people exhibiting utterly misplaced admiration for them and false inferences that they are closer to human than they obviously are merely because they can't see beyond superficial, shallow, outward appearances.

"Learning" is very vague. Raw data and vast bits of mere information on a drive alone doesn't mean anything if you think it makes a computer "more human."

It doesn't get you one inch closer to a computer that truly thinks, and we can't even begin to duplicate that because we don't even understand how we think.
